Hey everyone!! As the title says, tiki...aka Taheera got to meet in California last last sunday on the 24th of June! I would've posted this thread sooner, but I wasn't getting time cuz it's been hectic with college stuff and family stuff and shopping!😉😆 Anyhoo!....on with our story!....If I've missed out on any details tiki, then plz add on!😃...actually....add on anyway cuz I wanna hear ur side to our story too lol! Here goes:
Tiki and I weren't even planning on meeting each other in the first place cuz I was flying out the day-after she'd be arriving in California, so we just sadly accepted the fact that it wasn't going to happen at all. Her plane was arriving Saturday night and would not be able to leave her house in the nighttime cuz she doesn't drive, and I wouldn't be able to see her on Sunday cuz I would be cutting it real close to my flight time, so we were in a fix. Then Tiki suggested that she and I meet at her uncle's subway on Sunday morning at 9am and get some breakfast!😆 At first I wasn't too keen on the idea b/c that meant that I'd have to wake up my sister earlier than she normally does on a sunday morning and that would cause chaos lol....she gets violent lol! I asked my sis, and was ok with the idea of tiki and I meeting, even though the time wasn't to her liking lol. Then I realised that we (my sis and I) would have a dilemma cuz my cousin's family would want to drop me off at the airport😕, which meant that I wouldn't be able to meet Tiki then! Plus if I told them I wanted to meet Tiki, there'd be 028437282-957029857290587429075 questions to be answered lol!😕😆 Thankfully, my cousin decided to let my sis drive me to the airport, and my mission to meet Tiki was on course!😃 That night(Saturday) Tiki called me to confirm if we'd be meeting the next day, to which my answer was Yess!!
The next day, I was up early and very wired lol! I got a bit of grumpiness from my sis cuz she was in sleep so deep that she overslept and got us late, but everything was still going well. Since my sis and I were a bit late, tiki's uncle had told us to meet them at the Jack in the Box, so that's where we met!😆 Tiki just stood outside in a brown shirt and cream colored skirt with silver strapped flip-flops with the biggest grin on her face! It was toooooo cute!😆 I was over-awed by the difference in her pic to what she looks like now cuz she was looking so pretty and sweet and bubbly...yet shy at the same time😳. I just kept smiling and said hello to tiki and led her inside the Jack in the Box, afterwhich I gave her a warm hug. I didn't even see her uncle standing inside the restaurant until I turned around lol....he was nice😊 He then realised that we wanted to talk and so he left us and went to Mervyn's...a clothing store😊.
After he left, Tiki and I just sat down to talk, but before much of that happened, she gave me the most adorable little gift!...a yellow/white beanie baby called Saffron!😳😃 I wasn't able to get her anything cuz our plans were made so late, but next time Tiki, expect a surprise!😉 Then I realised that we didn't have a pic of us together, so we came out of the Jack in the Box and asked my sis to take a pic of us lol, which is posted below! We thanked my sis, and went back into Jack in the Box and started talking after that about anything and everything that I didn't even feel that this was the first time that I was meeting her!😳 It was truly an experience to remember and I recommend everyone to try and meet a fellow IF-ian! It's something you'll never forget and never want to end! Sadly, I only had about 40mins to talk to tiki, but those 40mins were soooo worth my lack of sleep!😉😆 Tiki even got to meet my sis lol....you're the first one to meet her too hon😊 Here's the pic:
