Jassi looks bewildered at Armaan who has accused her of trying to sabotage the fashion show.
Tears spring into her eyes. "Armaan, tum aisa soch bhi kaise sakte ho?"
Armaan moves even closer and grabs her by the arms. "Main aisa issliye soch sakta hun Jassi….kyunki….tum aaj itni khoobsurat lag rahi ho ki sabki nazrein sirf tumpar ki tiki rahengi…..models ko kaun dekhega?" He breaks into a naughty grin.
Jassi looks in astonishment at him…..then blushes red. They both gaze at each other for a long, long moment.😳
(Ahemmmm……MandAmongerz please note: Apu was literally squeezing her arms….in fact he was digging his fingers into her skin…..I'm sure when he removed his hands, the marks would still have been there!😉)
The fashion show starts. First Armaan goes up on the stage.
"Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen! On behalf of Mrs. Jassi Suri, Chairman of Gulmohur Fashion House, main Armaan Suri, Acting Chairman, aap sabko welcome karta hun….Gulmohur ke naye Bridal Collection ke launch par!"
There is applause from the audience. Jassi looks around in delight. Armaan continues—
"Aaj ki shaam bahut khaas issliye bhi hai, kyunki aaj Gulmohur ke former Marketing Head, Mr.Raj Malhotra, bhi hamare saath hai….aur ab woh waapas Gulmohur join karke, usse pehle se bhi upar le jaane mein hamara saath denge! Raj, please come up on stage!"
Raj grins and goes up. Taking the mike, he announces, "Ladies and Gentlemen, mujhe ye batane mein bahut khushi ho rahi hai ki ab se Gulmohur ke fashions international market mein bhi available honge. Unka pehla launch hoga Sydney mein, in the chain of Cinnamon Lifestyle Stores!"
There is an air of excitement in the hall. The employees of GM look excited and Maddy is in the seventh heaven of delight. Raj and Armaan come back to their seats; Armaan sits down next to Jassi and immediately puts his arm around her.😳
Pari enters, late as usual, looking stunning in a wine-coloured evening gown. Nandu gasps on seeing her. Beauty turns her face away. Raj watches this pantomime with interest.
The models sashay down the ramp. Jaggy positions himself in a corner from where he can ogle at the models, but unfortunately for him, Maddy comes and stands next to him and starts ogling him!😕😆
Nazneen and Ruby mom are grinning from ear to ear.
Chaman is watching the models with bated breath. Bua is equally fascinated.
Chaman: Bebe, kya Jassi didi mujhe model ka kaam nahin dila sakti? Mujhe bhi issi tarah stage pe chalna aata hai….dikhaun?
Bebe: Chup kar ke baith…agar tu uth kar chalne laga toh yahan koi baitha nahin rahega! Aur isse stage nahin kehte….kya kehte hain, Amrit?
Amrit: Ramp!
Bebe: Haan, ramp! Ab chup baith.
The show ends and its apparent from the applause that it is a great success. Armaan, Raj and Jassi move around the room, shaking hands and accepting compliments.
After everything has been winded up, Armaan goes up to Jassi and tells her that they have to go out with Raj and Beauty for dinner. Jassi looks most surprised at this, but agrees. She tells the family to take Vedika with them and gets permission from Bua and Bebe to take Beauty.
Pari seeks out Nandu and says sweetly, "Chale, Nandu?"
Nandu: (breathlessly): Haan, chalo chalein…..
At that precise moment he sees Raj approaching Beauty and hears him saying, "Beauty, dinner pe chalne ke liye ready ho?"
To Nandu's shock and Pari's dismay, Beauty calmly walks off with Raj.
Nandu stares in pained puzzlement. Pari thinks, "Raj Malhotra…iss behenji ko dinner pe leke ja raha hai?"
Tomorrow: Raj is talking to Beauty in the restaurant.
