Dear Friends,

Here's an article I found in a magazine (Saptahik Bartaman) . It's a Bengali magazine but I'm translating it --

" We all have seen the typical Indian Bahus in Ekta Kapoor Serials โ€“ wearing sarees, sindoor and doing pujas all the day. But we all get a shock when we see these same people in parties. But there are exceptions. Just like Silpa Saklani who believes in doing puja regularly. Just a few days ago she devotedly did 'Mata Ki Chauki' with her mother and mother-in-law where she fasting for a whole day, prayed for the well being of her family and her husband. Quite naturally this pleased her mother-in-law. How to be an efficient actress, a sweet wife ๐Ÿ˜• and a good bahu โ€“ Silpa Saklani knows it all." ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜‰

Your comments please.๐Ÿ˜›

Luv u all.

Well, if the intention behind this was good, then it certainly reflects well on her. ๐Ÿ‘

But one can't be sure: I mean, i see so many people performing rituals and being very religious on the surface, but competely lacking in civic sense and being tolerant of differences. I'm NOT saying SS is like that; i just mean that one can't draw conclusions on this basis.

I agree with what blyton is saying.

There is this thing in India that if you do pooja, or call our husband as "aap" and not "tum" and keep fast or do Karva chowth then this "bahu" is very good...no matter than bahu might not be a good human. ๐Ÿ˜• Why would someone be judged as "good bahu" if she does puja everyday, keep fast etc. I don't do much pooja (alteast not everyday) does that make me bad bahu? ๐Ÿ˜•

Thanks for the article! ๐Ÿ˜ณ
