It is early morning. Jassi is standing at the window of their cottage, gazing wistfully at the sea glinting in the morning sun. Armaan comes and holds her tenderly from behind.
Armaan: Kya soch rahi ho, Jassi?
Jassi (sighing): Kuch nahin….bas..aaj hum yahan se ja rahe hai….yahan guzara waqt bahut khoobsurat tha..
Armaan clutches her tighter. "Haan Jassi, hamari iss holiday ne hame bahut meethi yaadein di hai….par ghar toh jaana hai na?"
Nodding, Jassi turns to face him. "Haan Armaan, ab hamari Vedika aur Gulmohur , dono ko hamari zaroorat hai…aur hamari aane wale baby ko bhi…"
Armu gives her a naughty smile. "Ab dekhna Jassi, hamara Gulmohur kaise din dooni, raat chauguni tarakki karta hai….aur hamari family bhi….."😉
Mona…ooooooops Jassi😆…..looks at him in mock horror and thumps his arm. He envelops her in a bear hug.😳😳😳
JandA are getting into their car, ready to leave. Saagar and Francesca have come to see them off. Saagar shakes hands with Armaan.
S: I'm really sorry….hamare liye aapko aur Jassi ko bahut takleef uthnai padi…
A: Hey, no problem….i understand, aapne aisa kyun kiya…best of luck to you both.
F: Hamari shaadi bahut jald hone wali hai…aapko aana hi hoga.
JandA nod and smile. They get into the car and drive off, waving.
In GM, Nandu is rushing through his work. He tells Pari not to schedule any appointments after morning, since JandA are coming back in the afternoon and he has to rush home. Pari looks flabbergasted. She remembers the phone call (flashback) that the client made and how she had divulged Armaan's whereabouts. She imagines Armaan yelling at her and warning her to pull up her socks. She gives a little start. Nandu looks up in surprise. "Kya hua, Pari?"
Pari: Nandu sir…I mean Nandu….meri tabiyat achanak…bahut kharab ho rahi hai….(makes a swooning gesture)😕
Nandu looks alarmed. "Oh my God; agar aisa hai toh tum aaj ghar ja sakti ho; office ka kaam Nazneen dekh legi. Aur waise bhi, Armaan aur Jassi kal se pehle toh office ayenge nahin….
Pari is in a fix, since she plainly wanted to avoid Armaan and now apparently it is no use. She hurriedly says, "Nahin….now I'm feeling better….main aaj ka kaam poora karke hi ghar jaungi….par kal agar mujhe rest ke liye leave mil sake toh….."
Nandu, of course, melts and gives her the next day off.😆 Pari sighs in relief.
JandA arrive home to an ecstatic welcome. Billu beams, Amrit thanks Babaji for their safe return, Bebe chuckles in delight, Bua is beaming, Chaman and Beauty hang around JandA in glee, and Vedika rushes into their arms.👏
After the bonhomie has calmed down a little, Jassi looks around for Nandu. Beauty mournfully informs her that he is still in GM. Jassi looks knowingly at her face, and exchanges a quick glance with Armaan.
Billu: Arre us ullu ko maine kaha tha ki time se wapas aa jaye, par aajkal woh office mein kuch zyada hi busy rahta hai. Uski woh secretary hai na, Pari….woh khud toh koi kaam karti nahi hai aur usko bhi uljhaye rakhti hai…
Beauty looks close to tears. Bebe hurriedly intervenes, "Chod na Billu, kahin phas gaya hoga bechara, aata hi hoga…"
Amrit asks JandA to stay a couple of days with them, since Puru and Ila are not at home anyway and the Amritsar lot is also there. JandA agree, much to Vedika's delight.
They all sit down to dinner. JandA are sitting next to each other. After a while, Apu gazes slyly at Mona…….errrrrrrr I mean, Armaan at Jassi😳 (what is the matter with me today, I guess it is the effect of waiting for the MandA fanfic. Piggie and Twiggie, can you hurry up please😉) and grabs her hand under the table. Her right hand is tightly clasped in his left. Since Jassi is a leftie, both go on eating their food with apparent nonchalance; but Jassi is blushing.
She tries to shake her hand from Armaan's grasp, but he holds it even tighter.😳 She gives him a desperate glance, but he stares with a deadpan expression.
Just then Vedika drops her spoon, and dives under the table to look for it. She squeals, "Armaan papa, apne Jassi mamma ka haath kyun pakda hua hai….??"
Flustered, he immediately lets go of her hand, and Jassi snatches it back. Everyone looks nonplussed for a moment; then Beauty giggles and everyone bursts into laughter. Just then Nandu rushes in. "Hi Jassi, hi Armaan, I'm sorry, par office ka kaam khatam karte-karte der ho gayi…."
He sits down at the table, avoiding Billu's stern glances. Beauty's face lights up at his entrance. Jassi looks at her and thinks, "Mujhe Nandu se baat karni chahiye."
Tomorrow: JandA are being welcomed back to GM by the staff.
