I agree with Madhu di and Hansa (should i call you "di" too? I don't know your age but i am 23); but there is another valid point here--
Earlier there were soaps like Hasratein, Justuju and Astitva (all made by the same production house) and Swabhimaan (and lately Kashish on Zee which was pulled offair due to falling TRPS), which dealt with the issue of extra-marital relationships with rare sensitivity. They showed both sides of the story and did not paint any one chracter as a villain or vamp.
Such relationships are the result of human weakness and to some extent, adverse circumstances; not of diabolocal planning or desire for revenge.
neither the Kekta soaps nor ELAS show these factors; it is so easy to pin all the blame on one person be it the wife or the "other woman".
As regards JJKN, yes, JandA could have waited, but i personally feel that Armaan was not breaking any sacred obligation towards Mallika because they were not "married" in the true sense---there was no genuine trust, understanding or love between them.
In any case, JandA were married the day Armaan put sinddor in jassi's maang. In fact it was Mallika who was the "other woman", not Jassi.
You said it Blyti. I used to love justujoo and astitva (until they spoiled it by stretching it to ridiculous lengths) for the simple reason that the story was so real and all the characters were well-rounded and believable, not to mention brilliant acting by Pallavi Joshi, Varun Badola and Manas. While Tulika in ELAS is so NOT REAL!!!
As for jjkn, i guess what happened there WAS different as in the very next episode they show armaan talking to mallika about a divorce. So it wasn't as if he was cheating on his wife or doing it behind her back. Although when I first saw the Goa episode, I did get an initial shock and felt they should have waited.
And of course you can call me di 🤗
haha you REALLY think the masterminds behind the idiot
box would put so much thought into making a show? 😛 😉
so true!!! 😛
