The cast, gearing up for changes in their characters, once the story moves 20 years ahead, are also asking for fat raises. If sources within the production house are to be believed, actors Ronit Roy, Hiten Tejwani, Shilpa Saklani, Gauri Pradhan, Tassnim Sheikh and Riva Bubber have planned to meet boss Ekta Kapoor, to ask for a fee hike. Said a Kyunki actor, "Yes, I am planning to meet Ekta. I will also discuss money, among other things." Shilpa's major role When contacted, Shilpa Saklani, who is reported to have a major role to play post the leap, said, "I haven't had the meeting yet, but I am going for it with an open mind. Balaji Telefilms has never given me any chance to complain, be it over money or any other issue. When I did Kkusum, it was only to gain financial independence, but the Kyunki team is like family and I am emotionally attached to the show." Any agenda for the meeting? "I am not going with any preconceived notions. I will present my side and hear what they have to say. It's all about reaching a consensus." 25 per cent hike due A source from Balaji, who works on Kyunki, said, "The hike will vary for each actor, depending on the characters. On the whole, there will approximately be a 25 per cent raise based on what the actors are getting at the moment. The hike will be anything between Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000." It is learnt that every character from the show's existing generation, will get raise. "The current actors will all be a part of the leap. There will also be new actors joining the cast after the leap," the source added. Insiders reveal that actors aren't willing to share the amount of his or her hike with the others. "A wait-and-watch approach is being used. Once a certain amount is confirmed, the actors will either accept that amount, or try and bargain for more. But at the end of the day, Ekta decides how much each person will get. In the bargain, don't be surprised if some members of the Virani family drop out," said another Balaji source. Actor's post-leap fees: A projection (approximate per day rates) Ronit Roy: Rs 50,000. Shilpa Saklani: Rs 40,000. Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan: Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000, each.

good that they are all getting a hike however i find it hard to believe that SS is going to get 40,000 when hiten and ronit are going to get 35000-40000 moreover SS was getting only 8000-15000 now so even if they get a maximum 25% hike as mentioned in the article , it wont add upto 40000
anyway good for them and yeah the working time is stressful

this article is completely WRONG!!!!!..firstly, SS gets only 7K per episode in kuynki as of now..there was a mirror article few months back which said that ss gets 7K for ksbkbt and 14K for kkusum(it was on air then), mona gets 28K for jjkn and the highest paid was smrithi irani(tulsi of KSBKBT) who gets somewhere close to 35K for ONE EPISODE.....and this article says that its a 25% hike..that makes it a hie of 1750(as 25% of 7000 is 1750)...so according to that calculation, SS will only get 8500 and NOT 40000...mid day often publishes crap like this...doesnt at all make sense..just like y'day's article about mona...mid day is the one which published all those mona MM rumours and i really dont think its all true....and to top it all is the ash abhi rumours...(PS..i am not an ash fan or loved/hated the ash abhi jodi😕..i was neutral😛)..first they say crap like ash and abhi's horoscopes have matched and they are getting married..and now they cook up a story saying that ash is a manglik(i.e. perhaps mars is inferior in her horoscope..those who know astrology would be knowing that there are planets which are considered superior and inferior for one's horoscope....) and thus the bacchans asked her to perform a havan and she refused...is anybit of all this believeable?????....and in the beginning they said that jaya was more into ash and she was sure that rani will not be her bahu but it will be ash....and that she pushed abhi into the relationship but abhi's taking his time..all that crap..and now they say that jaya never liked ash...just look at how the media twists up everything..and what's worse is that without a tad bit of reluctance, they go on to contradict their ownselves...this article is one of those kinds....if SS is to get 40K, that means her hike is 33000....now converting it into percentage, it means ss gets a hike of 481.458 %😆....guys, its so ridiculous.........WHO on earth gets a hike of 480%😆😆😆.....LOL, dont journalists use their heads.....

AND, its NOT per day....mona and SS dont get 28K and 7K respectively per day episode...now even sheena was confused regarding this and i think so are everyone........ONE EPISODE OF SHOOT DOES NOT MEAN I EPISODE WHICH WE WATCH.....like see, in layman's terms, mona was wearing a black salwar in the second half of y'day's eppy.......now that doesnt mean that she shoots only those 2 scenes which they showed us y'day wearing that dress...now there will be more scenes which they will show us today.....now mona would have canned all the scenes(i suppose 12) wearing that black dress on a single day of shoot which extends from 9 am to 9 pm....so she's paid 28K for the shoot, and for the consecutive dubbing.......that doesnt mean that she got 28K y'day eppy which we watched , 28K for the eppy we are going to watch today and 28K for the epi which we will watch on monday..........that's NOT true......she gets 28K for the whole shoot which will be telecast over three days....another example....when vedika left with aryan, J was wearing somewhat a pink salwar.....she was wearing the same when she took bebe to hospital, and when she went to meet aryan to see him illtreating vedika, and when she was sleeping at night and v calls to say that aryan isnt treating her well...now we watched all these scenes like over 3 days but they would have shot it on one day and that's what she gets 28K for...same with SS...SS gets only 7K for ksbkbt and balaji aint that great paymasters.....they do pay actors like smrithi, eijoo, ronit, hiten etc but NOT SS, reva surveen, who play sidekicks .....

SS isnt playing the lead role now and after the leap, the track will revolve around the new tulsi, around the new kids and SS will perhaps play the same role or her role will have the same scope...now why would she get a hike of 480%😕....hiten might get that much as he currently gets around 30K...........and ronit gets a paycheque of 10 lahks a month..he has no fixed rate like he gets this much per eppy.....irrespective of whenther he cannes those 2*12*20(i.e. 2 soaps ,12 shots a day per soap and 20 days of work a month), he gets his 1000K.............he is on a different contract.....and ronit works from 8am to 1 am(as said on popkorn)........that is more strenuous...and SS and the kuynki do shoot at unearthly hours..there was an article which said that sometimes, they leave home at evening 6 to come back at morning 3......all the actors, ss including.......

huh!!! was longer than an update but had to say this😕...tv stars dont earn that much too......if this article is to be believed, SS will earn 8 lakhs per month and 96 lakhs a year...impossible!!!!....bollywood stars get that much but not telly stars..mona herself just makes say around 3 lakhs per month and 3600K per year...and so does apu.......and unless these make smart investments, they have to pay quite an amount as tax also.....i think in india its 40%(i know i'm wrong so someone please correct me..what is the tax percentage in india???????😳😆😆...25 or 40??)...so that means they pay off quite a bit as tax......celebs life isnt as yummy as it looks from the outside......well, unless one is a A list page3ite and telly stars dont belong to that category

I saw Popkorn's coverage of Tassneim's wedding today; apart from the KSBKBT team who were there to wish her, another guest was Shama Sikandar, looking gorgeous in a red outfit.
While most of the guests cheerfully and fondly gave Tassneim her best wishes, SS screeched into the camera, "I want to slap her, push her, fight with her...that is the relationship we shareonscreen." While she was talking, AA was looking hereand there and he seemed a little embarrassed. It seems like he jus came straight from the shoot without even washing his face or combing his hair---he looked tired and not very interested.
