WALIA HOME
There is a flurry of welcoming and the Guest of Honor, Armaan, is seated at the dining table.
He is wearing a grey suit and black shirt… With a charming smile, he apologizes for being late, "I'm sorry I'm late!"
He looks directly into Jassi's eyes, then at the rest of them.. "Have I made it too late?"
Nandu replies impishly, "Nahin nahin… no problem.. we are ready to wait for you for YEARS!"
Jassi gives him a nudge and smiles back at Armaan, her heart going aflutter!
Armaan looks around and says amiably, "But now I'm here, and hungry as ever! Shall we eat?"
Nandu surprises him by saying that he is too late, everyone has already finished! Everyone laughs and Bebe assures Armaan, "Arre nahin nahin, there's lots of food left beta! We will eat some more with you!"
Armaan and Jassi's eyes somehow keep finding their way back to each other😳.
Nandu agrees and comments that Bebe always makes an extra portion for Jassi - who knows when she might come back?? Bebe looks longingly, Billu averts his eyes, Jassi looks away, Armaan looks deeply at Jessica…
Bebe says, "Beta, I trust that Jassi WILL come back soon, and she will say, 'Bebe, eating the food you cook can fill up my tummy but never my longing'.. so I have made more than needed!" Jassi is deeply touched and looks at Bebe as though she could cry any moment😭!
The scene that follows shows everyone having a wonderful 'family😛' dinner… chatting, laughing, jabbering, delighting… the background score lends a surreal quality to the meal…
Outside the Walia home, it's time for the guests to say goodbye. Nandu, Bebe and Amrit line up at the door to bid "Bye bye!" to Armaan and Jassi who get into the car looking pleased and evidently, very full. Burp!
Jassi seats herself next to the Armaan who's in the driver's seat. She clumsily tries to draw the seat belt but the stubborn thing just won't move! Armaan shakes his head and grins, and reaches across to help her put it on. The moment their arms touch, they freeze and drink from each other's eyes for a never-ending moment😳 … then she breaks eye contact and says awkwardly, "Uhhh.. let it be, I'll manage.."
Armaan shifts the belt into position and says as if daring her to contradict him, "Well! You are our Boss now.. I can do this much for you!"
Jassi's phone rings – it's Purab! He says in a worried voice, "Jassi?"
Jassi makes short work of him, "Purab, I'll… I'll talk to you later!" and hangs up hastily.
Armaan gives a tiny jerk on hearing Purab's name but then gives her a sweet look. "Shall we move?"
Jassi is thinking with a nostalgic half-smile, "I know, it must be Papaji who made Mama call, and he must have been standing there listening to our conversation!" and echoing Amrit's words, "He may have forgotten his daughter, but the father inside of him is still very much alive!"
Suddenly, Armaan brings the car to a screeching halt and turns to face Jassi with a bewitching smile. "So tell me, what were you thinking?"
He leans against the window lazily waiting for her reply, giving her a flirtatious look that would make any woman's grey cells go into hibernation…
Jassi replies smilingly, "Only that, our kismet plays so many games with us.."
He says perkily, "Ah! Lets play a game too then! And in this game, I can either lose something or win something…"
Jassi says sportively, "I thought Armaan Suri was fully in control of his destiny!"
Armaan laughs self-deprecatingly and again locks her eyes with his. "For now, YOU are my 'Kismet ki Mallika'😳!" Jassi is confused! "What do you mean??"
Armaan holds out two hands curled up into fists and offers them to Jassi. "Here are two 'mutthhis'! If you choose one, you'll be going straight home.. and if you choose the other option I'll be whisking you off straight to a very special destination for some very special coffee! Now hurry up and choose one option – I want to know what my destiny has in store for me today!"
Jassi asks him teasingly, why he is so sure that she will be ready to have coffee with him?
Armaan replies with a dimpled smile, looking like an innocent schoolboy with eyes that are dancing like the devil's… "I don't know that – which is why I'm playing this game!"
Jassi is enjoying this very much and gives him a wide smile… which immediately reminds Armaan of his Jassi giving him a wide, bracey smile😃 in another world, another time…
He jerks back into the present and the beautiful albeit light-headed lady by his side takes her time making her choice. "Umm.. Ok… " and touches his right hand with a giggle.
Armaan asks her, raising a perfect eyebrow, are you sure? "Then I conclude that you like coffee very much!"
Jassi shakes her head naughtily, "Nahin nahin nahin… I think this is not a 'kismet ka khel' but YOUR khel!" and accuses him of matchfixing.
Armaan says softly that she will be able to tell the answer by looking into his eyes! Jassi does exactly that for a heat-stopping moment… she gazes at him and he looks at her seriously, intensely, until her thumping heart can't take it any more and averts her eyes…😳😳😳!!!
Armaan stops the car outside Raj's apartment. Jassi recognizes the place at once.
Flashback: Jassi asking him, bewildered, "What is this place you have brought me to, Armaan Sir?" and Armaan replying with a cute dimply smile, "Well Jassi! This is a special place for a special surprise!"
Jassi gets out of the car, looks at Armaan questioningly and says, "What is this place?"
They are standing close. He replies a little guardedly, "It's a special place. Shall we go in?"
He goes up to the guard and says, "Raj Sahib must have told you to expect us…" The guard stands to attention and says, "Yes Sir! He did!" and Armaan asks him for the keys.
Jassi then has a flashback of the last time she was there.. this same watchman had taken one look at her plain salwar-kameez and tried to shoo her away! And how Armaan had scolded the nonplussed man, "How dare you talk this way to a guest of mine!! Shut up! Keys!" and the guard had been practically falling over Armaan's feet in apology…
The same guard couldn't take his eyes off Jassi's face at the present moment and Jassi gave him a sarcastic look.
Armaan noticed the guard's disproportionate interest in Jassi and said ruefully, "Jessica.. forgive him! He has probably never laid eyes on a beautiful girl like you before!"
Armaan and Jassi enter Raj's darkened apartment. Armaan goes first and switches on the lights… leaving Jassi to switch on the lights in her own mind about the last time they stepped into that same room…
He urges Jassi to make herself comfortable at the table, saying he will be back soon, and then disappears into the kitchen.
More deja vu: Armaan and Jassi's last visit, talking, smiling, Armaan trying to make her laugh with his antics… 😛
The phone rings and Jassi is startled! She picks up the receiver but before Jassi can say Hello, Raj starts talking!
He groans, "Armaan, you could let me have SOME say in the matter, yaar! It's my home.. I can have some work there too, you know! But it's a relief that you're at least out of that 'behenji's' chakkar!!!!!"
With that diatribe, he hangs up leaving a million questions in Jassi's mind. Our Doubting Mary sinks into a chair and wonders suspiciously, "Why have you brought me here, Armaan Sir?"
She sinks deeper into the cushion and gives her head a 90 degree turn to 'think' about Armaan's motives… when her eye is caught by a passport-size photograph lying in Armaan's open wallet, which has carelessly protruded through the pocket of his coat… it is JASSI'S pic!
She can't help herself and removes the picture from his wallet and stares at it, dumbfounded!!!!!
Just then, Armaan enters the room with two cuppas in his hands, his smile fading away as he sees what Jassi is fingering. Once again, the room is crackling with fiery intensity as their eyes lock on to each other, hers with a question that she dare not ask, and his with a question that is killing him to keep inside…
There is a clink as Armaan keeps the coffee cups on the table next to him. He is very close to Jassi now, and he can't take his eyes off her!
He reaches out his hand for the photograph, eyes lowered, saying in a quiet, low voice, "Give it to me, please."
Jassi is amazed at her discovery and cannot believe still if it means what she thinks it means.. that he could really care so much!!… she keeps looking at him, holding out the pic, on the verge of tears, waiting for a sign from him, something…. He impatiently puts his fingers around the pic and pulls… she is holding on just as tightly…
....Then there is a S-N-A-A-A-A-P! The photograph tears into two! Armaan is left holding the upper part of her face and Jassi the lower… a melancholic sound plays in the background and Armaan is devastated!!!!!!!!
He grabs hold of Jassi's shoulders and grits his teeth, despairing, staring down into her eyes! "What did you do!!!!"
Jassi asks him to relax.. it's only a photograph....
That makes Armaan even wilder! "This is not a photograph, Jessica! This is the last nishaani of Jassi and my love!"
There is a storm in Jassi's heart as she sees her anguished lover turn away and say softly, sadly, "Since the day Jassi joined the office, she took up every possible responsibility upon her shoulders. She would take care of every single thing! She was ready to do anything for her Armaan Sir."
Flashbacks: Jassi at her desk, working… Jassi attending to phone calls…
He continues, "Jassi was not a mere secretary to me, but had become an integral part of my life. I didn't even know when it happened…"
Flashback: The bombastic hug on the eve of the fateful board meeting😳…
"But I never valued her! Never understood what was in her heart! How could I – when I didn't understand my own?"
Jassi is sobbing, great big tears rolling down her cheeks! She reaches out one hand as if to comfort him and then withdraws it in a second, biting her lip…
"She never wanted anything from me! It was enough for her if I would only turn around and look at her…"
With that, he turns around and looks at Jassi, "Jassi trusted me so much! The day I broke her trust, her hear shattered into a million pieces… I don't even know where she went away…"
Seeing the tears coursing down her cheeks, Armaan comes closer to Jassi, standing close, so close… He says with clenched lips, his cheeks wet with his own tears, "She does not know how much torture I have endured.. and now that I want to apologize for all of that… she is not here!"
He says with a pleading face, holding her eyes with all the power of his loverboy appeal, "I called you here today because… I want to meet her once! Just once! Just let me meet Jassi ONCE…! I will never ask you for anything ever again!"
He breaks down and starts sobbing like a baby, "Please let me meet her just once!!!!"
Jassi can bear it no more!!!
Without giving herself any time to think, she throws herself into his arms!!!!
This scene has to be seen to be believed… Jassi has her eyes closed and caresses his shoulders, his hair, his arms, with a desperate passion.. Armaan is shocked at first but he allows the heavenly feeling to take over him, feeling as though he is one with JASSI… soon, he is matching her love and longing at every step, holding her tightly, crying and attaining heaven at the same instant, … abandoning himself to the moment, needing her to take away the pain with her warmth and understanding… a turbulent release for all his pent-up agony… INCREDIBLE SCENE!!!!😳
Armaan and Jassi are still engrossed in a tight clinch. As if his hands have a mind of their own, Armaan lightly strokes her hair, his eyes closed as he drinks in the sweetness of her touch.
Jassi is equally absorbed in him. The lovers hug as if they'll never be able to get enough… as if they'll never find this Heaven again.. as if nothing will ever compare with the here and now of the sensations rippling through their skin, their heart, their soul…
BEEP! BEEP! Ta na na na na na! Armaan's cell rings and destroys the peace!
They open their eyes and the lovers draw apart slowly, reality sinking in. Armaan thinks, utterly confounded by his reaction to Jessica, "What the heck was I doing? WHAT has happened to me??😕"
The cell rings incessantly. Jassi wipes away voluminous tears with the back of her hand and Armaan turns his back to her to answer the call.
It's Raj at the other end. "Armaan! Listen, there's a problem here, yaar. Rohit's wife has thrown him out of the house! Now if Rohit stays outside and I spend the night with his wife, that's hardly the ideal situation, hey? I really need to come back home, OK?"
Armaan replies, "You can come back, Raj.. we were leaving anyway!" Jassi looks at his back, surprised!
Armaan is still in shock over what happened between them. He goes over to Jassi and informs her, "It was Raj on the line. He said he's going to be here soon. We should be leaving now!"
Jassi is most reluctant to let go of the moment and asks hopefully, "Umm… can't we stay for some more time?" They exchange a long, meaningful look and Armaan forces himself to say, "No, Jessica!"
Jassi asks him what happened. "Why are you getting so upset?" Armaan bites out, willing her to understand, "Jessica, I have made a lot of mistakes in my life, and maybe Jassi will never be able to forgive me for my mistakes."
Jassi asks him what if Jassi has already forgiven him? Armaan looks away and says painfully, "How can she, when I have yet to forgive myself?"
Jassi says immediately, "If Jassi had been here and heard all you said, she would surely have forgiven you!"
Armaan yells, "No! She would never have forgiven me! Never have forgiven me… 😭"
Jassi asks gently, "But you KNOW Jassi.. what do you think she would have said? Tell me…"
Armaan closes his eyes in frustration and then goes over to face her from another angle. He thrusts his face forward and replies, "Jassi would say, 'Armaan Sir, do you know what my Papaji always says to me?'…"
Jassi hears this and cannot control the big grin from ear to ear!!!! Armaan stares at her as if transfixed… Suddenly Jassi pulls herself up and says guardedly, "What happened?"
Armaan gives her a soft, sweet look. "Nothing! Just.. your laugh.." Jassi asks him, "Is it not allowed to laugh here?"
Armaan lets out the breath he's been holding and replies, "You laugh.. just like Jassi!!!! I did notice it earlier too, but…"
Jassi says with enthusiasm, "Do you know why? Jassi's father says that when one laughs, one should do so with all one's heart! Jassi and I both follow the same rule – therefore, we laugh the same way!"
Armaan looks thoughtful. "Actually, there are so many things that are similar between you and Jassi…"
Jassi thinks seriously, "I think I must tell Armaan Sir that I am Jassi!" The moment of Truth!! She opens her mouth to say, "There's something more I want to tell you…" Armaan asks, "About Jassi?"
Jassi says two words, "Khud Jassi.." and the main door pops open the same second..
Raj enters and the moment is lost forever!!!!😡😡😭

The song ends and we are back to reality where Armaan and Jassi are in the hospital in each other's arms. Armaan says "I love you" again to her and she smiles shyly. 😳 He looks into her eyes and tells her that she has to make up for all the time she was away from him in the hospital. She says that it was 7 hrs 56 mintes 37 secs (figures may not be accurate). He says more than that. She says all right, let's round it upto 8 hrs, I owe you 8 hrs then. He tells Jassi that he wants to say something to her, something which she hs always wanted to listen. She looks expectantly and asks what. He says that he will tell her that in those 8 hrs of his. He smiled adorably and they rest their heads against each other. They leave.
Purab arrives in the hospital and the nurse tells him Jassi just left. Purab is utterly disappointed.
Armaan and Jassi are going in their car. She asks him where they are heading. He says that to a destination she will look forward to. A truck is ahead of them and on the backside of the truck, in Punjabi is written someone's gaddi with someone (I guess that means marriage). Jassi imagines it to be Jassi and Armaan instead of the names on the truck. She starts dreaming of her wedding with Armaan. Jassi dressed like a bride( she was looking very beautiful) and Armaan in bridegroom's dress (sherwani, pagdi etc, looking like a rajkumar, absolutely handsome 😊 ) .The priest ties their dupattas and they take their 7 feras. Jassi wakes up from her dream. 🥱 Armaan asks her what happened. She says she was dreaming but does not tell him.
Then she asks him "Armaan Sir where are we going?" He looks fed up and says that she should stop calling him "Armaan Sir" and only say only Armaan. She blushes 😳 and says that she can't, she will always call him Armaan Sir. Armaan says that "I am your Armaan, only Armaan." Jassi goes all red 😳 and says that when she had first joined Gulmohur, he was Armaan Sir for her, when she fell in love, he was Armaan Sir for her and even now, he is Armaan Sir. Only one name is written on her heart and that is Armaan Sir and that cannot be changed. Armaan makes a face 😡 (looking very sweet 🤗 ) and says that ok then don't say Armaan, say Armaan Sir. (that face was worth watching 😛 ) He starts again that she should at least try. He looks at her and tries to teach her "A-R-M-A-A-N" say "A-R-M-A-A-N". 😛 She laughs and blushes and says "Armaan Sir". He then stops the car and looks into her eyes, almost touching her nose." Say Armaan only once Jassi, plllllleeeease" he begs in the most adorable manner. She looks into his eyes and starts "Armaan........"before she can say Sir, he puts his finger on her lips and stops them. They stare passionately for a few seconds and Jassi completes......"Sir..." They laugh happily.
This was the BEST scene and one of the MOST memorable ones..I am running out of time, yet want to describe it more :(
Armaan's car stops in front of jassi's house!!!! Armaan is holing jassi's hand tightly and he is not ready to leave them !!!
Armaan looks at jassi's face with infinite thirst and says: please jassi! Don't go!!!!
Jassi says: I have some other people there!!!
Arman pleads: why will you go there??( like a child!!!)
Jassi: look at that house !! that is my house and there my parents , bebe all are waiting for me!! and I will have to go and stay there until………….
Armaan: until?????/(he knows what she means but still he wants to hear it from her!!!!)
Jassi twists her words cleverly and says:until I meet you again!!!!
Armaan smiles looking at her and says: jassi! but why are you going so soon????(oh! God!what a mad lover!!!!!)
Jassi: the sooner I will go there the sooner I will meet you again!!!!
Armaan sighs and says: ok! Bye!
Jassi comes out of the car and say: bye!!!
Armaan moves his fingers and says : bye! Bye!!!
Jassi looks at her house and remembers the old days and tears start trickling down from her eyes!!1 but these are tears of joy!!!!1 she look sat the front gate and sees that it is wel decorated to welcome her!!! she starts running towards the gate!!!!suddenly nandu comes in front of her and says: stop!!!!!!!!( and mockingly closes the entrance with his hands!!!)
Jassi is surprised and smiles !!!!
Nandu say: who is it?
Jassi: Jessica!!
Nandu: noone knows any Jessica here!!!!
Jassi: jassi!!!
Nandu: which jassi?
Jassi: mama's jassi!!
The door is slightly opened!!!
Jassi: papaji'sjassi!!!!
The door is half open!!!!!
Jassi: and……armaan's jassi!!!!
The door is closed again!!!!
Nandu: no! we don't know you!!!!
Jassi: what?? Ok! Nandu's jassi!!!!
Then they both burst into laughter!!!!!

The phone starts ringing again!!!!!
Jassi looks at he father !!!!!
Billu says:Queen Victoria does not need to take permission from anyone!!!!pick up the phone!!!!
Then he sees that jassi is hesitating to pick it up!!!! So he goes away fro the room!!!
Jassi picks it up and says smilingly: who is it????
Armaan says: before I met you I knew who I am !! but after meeting you I can only remember you!!!( he is standing in front of his car!!!! And smiling sweetly!!!)
Jassi: oh! Really??what do you want ????
Armaan:hmmmmm!!!!!!! 3 lakhs, 55 thousand and 480!!!!
Jassi: what do you mean?
Armaan: I mean I am counting stars!!
Jassi: hehehehehe!!!!!!you are counting starts in daylight???
Armaan: well now I can only dream about sweet nights!!!!!!
Jasi:look! What you have done to yourself!!!You have started counting starts in daylight!!!!
Armaan: hahahahahahaha!!!( after a long long time armaan laughs wholeheartedly and that laughter sounded like a beautiful music in my ears!!!!)!!oh!!! jassi!!!!!!can you remember have something to say you???
Jassi: yes!!!!
She disconnects the phone!!!!
Amrit runs to bebe and yells: bebe !!!!1
Bebe: what happened???
Amrit: the meal is ready !! where are the people??
Billu comes downstairs and say:I can't understand why she is not talking in front of me? the past she used to do so!! What happened now?
Bebe smiles and says:are!past was past!!!!
Amrit: now your daughter has grown up !!!
Poor Billu cannot understand anything!!!!
JASSI'S HOUSE:
Jassi comes from behind and hugs bebe !!
Bebe: arre? What happened??
Jassi sings:

Bebe smiles and asks: tell me , why you heart is beating so fast today??

Bebe: you know my heart was beating so fast for the first time when your dadaji touched my hands for the first time!!!did anyone touch your hand?? Tell, me!!!
Jassi: you guess!!!!
Bebe:this touch in your hand is not from anyother than armaan!!!!!!am I right!!
Jasi smiles shyly and hides her face in bebe's shoulder!!( what a cute scene ,I can never forget it!!!!)
Both of them burst into laughter!!!!!

She says: oh! I mistakenly thought that it is …..actually we faced a lot of troubles in past few days!! And you all faced it more than me!!!!
Purab: you didn't answer my question!!!!
Jassi: oh! I am ok purab!!! I have faced so many ups and downs in my life in past few days!!!!
Purab: jassi I cannot bear you facing any trouble any sadness! You know it!!!
Jassi: I know purab! Thanks for everything!!!!
Purab: ok! Then let's have dinner together tonight !!!
Jassi: oh! Actually………………
Purab: ok! You dine with your parents tonight! Let's have lunch together tomorrow!!!
Jassi: tomorrow??? Actually………..i mean..
Purab:you mean ,sorry purab I have time for everyone but not for you!!! Right?

Jassi is upset now! She say: let's lunch together tomorrow! Ok?bye!
Purab disconnects the phone!!!!

Purab turns back and his face is glittering with joy!!!!(oh! God! I am feeling sad for this guy!!!)
Purab: jassi!!!! I have cooked such a delicious food for you that if you eat it you will not want to go from here!!!wait a minute ! I am coming back!!
Jassi: can I help you!
Purab: nooo!!!if you go to kitchen then you will feed me and I wil sit here!
Jassi:but what's wrong in it?
Purab:no jassi! Not now!!!!
Jassi:ok!
Jassi thinks: what I am going to say will tear purab's heart apart but this is necessary !!!!
Purab thinks: why has jassi been so much tensed????
Jassi: purab I have come here to say something to you!!!!! I have someone with me purab,who has become a part of my life purab!!!!

Purab is bearing everything!!! As if someone is beating him with a whip!!!
Ultimately he pours out his heart:tell me one thing!!!!what is the deficiency in me??? I have always loved you!! I have always been with you!!! I have always wanted to see your smiling face!!!!what is my fault????( purab is crying now!!! And the updater also cannot check her tears !!!!)
Jassi:purab! What do you think? Don't I know all these? Purab you have always loved my happiness! Can't you do these remaining my best friend??
Purab thinks: I have always been your friend ! but how long I will go on killing my emotions???
Jassi:purab,armaan sir has become my destiny! I cannot change it!!!!
