My aunt was watching JJKN when it was re-running this afternoon and there was a scene where Armaan called BillyO-->"Uncle" and my buaji was like--"uncle!!"he should say papaji..does Jassi call Ila-->Aunty; NO she calls her mama; this Armaan😡😡

and I was like..Buaji..out of all the issues you would have with JJKN, it is the fact that Armaan calls Billy, "Uncle".. maybe he feels uncomfortable, and it isnt his fault, he just says what dialogues he is told to say; after all he is the yes-yes man!!😃😆😉

And she said:"Sheena, this show despite being reaallyyy dumb at times is farrr farr better than the other crap on Indian TV👍🏼👏;(trust me, my aunt watches every show known to man;and she is visiting for 2 weeks and oh yes she is from Jalandhur--and she said that was how it was spelt..and she was annoyed at the bad things BillyO & Bebe were saying about Jalandhur hehehehheheheehhehehhee😆) its just that it would be nice if Armaan called BillyO; Papaji and Amrit --Maji; instead of Uncle and Aunty!!It would show you people your culture"

So TnD listen to my bua and fix the dialogue!!!

In our community, we don't address our IN Laws as Mom/ Mum , Dad/ Papa etc. We specifically call them UNCLE and AUNTY , your Buaji is real cute... but in some communities its different. I personally would prefer Mom and Dad though .

hhhmmm..I didn't know that...well most of the communities I know..have it the way my Buaji says--the Sikhs; Hindu-Punjabis and Gujjus..And I always thought Armaan was Punjabi😕😕😕
