Well, the topic says it all..as I've read, a lot of you are disappointed in Thursday's episode. I don't see why. You knew they weren't going to actually SHOW anything. JJKN is still a family show, Tellywood is still not Bollywood, & Mona Singh is definitely not Mallika Sherawat. The article in the Mumbai Mirror had even said that it would be aesthetically done, & for once, they lived up to what they said. It was done sweetly & romantically & in a classy manner. Basically, they showed JandA's faces closer to one another's than they've ever been & that was supposed to be our hint when they moved downwards & then showed the bed the next day. Hell, man, that was good enough for me. Just to see JandA together & happy made my night. I had to watch the 1:30AM episode as I wasn't home & I made my cousin JET home as soon as the movie we saw was over. (Sidenote: If you liked "There's Something About Mary" & you like the song "Turn Me On" & you lowe Shahid Kapur, DO NOT GO SEE "Deewane Huye Pagal"!!! TRUST ME!) Anyhoo, here we go. ;-)
1) The Emmy (s) of the evening are so blatantly obvious. Mona & Apoorva have once again shown everyone on planet Earth exactly what CHEMISTRY is. All o our fraworite face-touching scenes were back..this time with Jassi touching Armaan's too. The way that the two play off of each other's timing & skill & emotion is brilliant. They should totally just be in every serial/movie/commercial together. They make you WANT to watch JJKN..which as we all well know, is becoming an increasingly hard task. Every SINGLE scene of JandA's was purely magical..I totally forgot I was watching a show. The way Apoorva cries makes me want to cry & although Mona's had many scenes to cry in where she wasn't in the same frame as her "Armaan", she just always looks more heartbreakingly convincing when in the scene with Apoorva. More yay-worthy scenes were: Wally looking on as Dimpie danced with the natives after downing a wholeee bunch of shots. Dimpie's "Good morning Jassi" was soooo queet & Wally staring over him while he was sleeping was too. Dimpie grabbing her hand as she got off the bed was even queeter! ;-) Basically, every scene just made me wish that I had TiVo so I could rewind!
2) The IOTE for the 2nd evening in a row belongs to our dear Motor Mouth. It's not really his fault, but his talking to Wally in the mirror really isn't going to do the poor boy any good. Not only was it excruciatingly painful to watch (for obvious reasons), I almost felt bad for the dude. It doesn't even look like a grown man is in lowe with someone..everytime I see him speak about his lowe for Wally, I just see a 7th grade junior high boy with a crush & not enough guts to do anything about it. Poor idiot Reggie. P.C. for a brother, P.P. for a dad, 0 for 2 in the ladies department, & G. Kaks to top it all off. Sheesh..this could take a toll on anyone..I just hope that once P.C. ends up telling his li'l bro about Wally, that Piano Man doesn't go meanie on anyone. That's an excellent way to ruin a poor character even more.
3) The NOBS (CC) Award of the evening is awarded to my Dimpie who looked soooo edible in a linen suit on the beaches of Goa in a little oceanfront cabana that I seriously could have been arrested for a myriad of counts had he been in front of me @ that point in time. =)
4) NOBS (CC) NOTE: I don't understand why they make Mona wear long-sleeved things, or solid black things in the middle of the Goan sun! She's a human being for G-d's sake..who the hell would wear that in Goa anyway, let alone on the beach!? Let's have some sense of reality here folks..I'm not saying bathing suit or bikini obviously, but a light summer dress would suffice just fine & be just as stylin'!
5) I don't understand how Mr. Moo & BubbleBall are going to find out about the SNOBerois' durtie money business if P.C. & MM are now off gallivanting in Mauritius..especially since they ran after the wrong thugs anyway. I just don't think either of those 4 are that intelligent..=P
6) Granted that JandA are back together..for now..but does Wally have to be SO blas when she leaves my Dimps at the airport? Poor guy has been tadaping for basically, like, EVER, & when he asks if she's leaving, she's like, "Yup. Bye." Heehee..dudeee, come on..be a little sweeter! Hug him, kiss him, eat him, whatever works! ;-)
7) Someone please tell me now once & for all..is Pinstriped Pops really sick or not? First we all thought he was making it up b/c he said he was..then all of a sudden he's dying..then we had a D. Wally Deadline which came & went..then he just told MM that he's sick so he can't go to Mauritius to meet Jeev Bhaiyya. IS THE DUDE DYING OR NOT!?!? Stop playing with our emotions..& by that I mean that most of us want the dude to kick the bucket already so stop teasing us!
8) I want Bebe. I always did. Then I wanted her more after she left. And NOW, after watching that annoying as hell Anu on Ek Ladki..Anjaani Si call Himani Shivpuri "Biji", I want her even more!!! Where the hell are the Wallys? I understand that they were supposed to come during D. Wally & then WackO never moved out, but hello? Where are they now? Poor Billster is probably suffering from anxiety attacks while Amrit from Amritsar just keeps praying to Babaji. At this point, I would even welcome Chaman or Pammi Bua. Just bring some humor back to the show man.
9) Honestly guys, I was so busy being involved in JandA's reunion & dialogues that I hardly noticed anything else in the episode..hence the lack of humor in this commentary. All I can say is that the last scene was a cheat shoot because the back of the chick they showed while Wally was talking to her in-laws was not Mona. Other than that, I'm still in JandA Land so please excuse me. ;-)
10) As for the preview, well, P.C.'s back in action. Here's hoping that what Vikas Bhalla said in his interviews is actually true & he turns nice for once..& here's hoping that Rags doesn't turn mean. Only Monday can tell..
