Hey all,

again with the random off topic subjects...as most of you know, I'm Canadian, and not big on non-Indian holidays, today was American Thanksgiving, and is apparently a big deal for my husband who happens to be a great meat cook (sorry to gross any veg-only eaters out there!)

Anyway, we have a different Thanksgiving, but don't make a big deal out of it...even Christmas isn't a special day in our house anymore, since we are all in our 20's.

I knew my hubby was an awesome barbecuer, but just let me tell you what he made today (out of his own free will, he loves holidays).

-Roast, tender and succulent turkey.
-Delicious seasoned stuffing.
-Neckbone and rice.
-cranberry sauce.
-yams.
-biscuits.
-stew with lentil, okra, peppers, and mushrooms.
-macroni and cheese.
-gajrela (I made it, actually)

and people wonder why I have gotten so moti after marriage?

Hey Jas, I wanted to make turkey too but ended up making chicken...ANd our thanksgiving dinner was mixed with some Indian dishes too...

Samosas, stuffed peppers, tatter tots and chat for appetizers...

I had made some corn bread....
Herb biscuits..
corn on the cob...
Baked veggies...
spicy Indian curry and parathas for the vegetarians in the family...
and we had 3 kind of pies for dessert....

I have lots of leftover food so dont have to cook tonight...

I went for the early bird sale after a long time... had fun shopping since morning...
