well last trp rating actually went up , it has been highest (2.9)in last one month's rating(2.0-2.3).as for armaan lovers, i truly sympathize with them but there is very little that can be done with that character now, let us hope he gets to play a more consistent and strong negative character than he did as a positive one (sometimes even negative character succeed in stealing all the limelight.examples are akshay khanna in humraaz and ajay devgan in deewangi).the problem is if armaan goes positive now , it will be undigestable and armaan's character will detoriate further. you don't want his character yoyoing between positive and negative on the whims of that weeks rating.he will be better off staying where he is now and this opinion is no reflection on anybody's talent or any prejudice on my part

while i understand what you are saying but here are few problems

1)the essence of original story is lost now and it cannot be revived now, so they might as well change it into something more acceptable

2)the way i understand even columbian public could not digest the original ending and is actually demanding that betty divorce armando and move on in the sequel. indian public is much much more conservative

3)purab has had so much airtime .....i don't know how they are going to bring about his vanishing act(other than kill him).

4)on a second note while most people seem to applaud and root for first love , i still don't see it,even after a goodly number of episodes armaan has shown no hint of any softer emotion towards jassi while purab's feelings are very apparent(luckily this might just be a way out for T&D). honestly i think first love /crush myth is overrated.think of it this way this way , the new character sketches are like this

purab=armando(romantic angle +screen chemistry)+michael

armaan=aryan(sabotage attempts+ obsession with ceoship)

aryan=armaan(indirectly supporting jassi by sitting on sidelines)-romantic angle

jassi=betty

raj=his colombian counterpart's meanness diluted manifolds

mallika=marcella+true love for armaan

Hi, I feel u cannot equate Armaan with Aryan because he is good in so many aspects

He is more professional than Armaan.He cares atleast for somebody(mallika) but Armaan cares for none but for his self.Aryan is more straight forward compared to Armaan.He is more manly in dealing things.
