Is Vividha really a hypocrite?

A lot of fans are unhappy with Vividhas reaction and think she's a hypocrite. Is she really though? Why do you think that? Because she was broken to see Atharv happily moved on in life, same as her? But that's like comparing apples to oranges.

Let's look back and think about Vividhas last memories with Atharv. This is purely from her point of view the way things were presented to her. She doesn't know anything about Atharvs fake report or how he has been manipulated by Suman for all these years. She knows nothing, zilch. So bearing that in mind let's talk about what she has seen and felt.

Ever since Vitharv got engaged, through to the Manali track, and even when they got back from Manali, they were not on good terms with each other. Atharv thought Vivi loved Ravish and Vivi was sick of saying otherwise . There was a constant tension between them. After that they were about to get married and Atharv went to the extent of acting mad so she wouldn't marry him! Stop for a second and think how insulting that is.. But Vivi put her ego aside and forced him to the mandap. I know that if it was me I would feel so insulted having to beg someone to marry me! Nope, I have more self respect than that! But Vivi still kept trying despite what everyone around her said. Even after everyone realised that atharv was just putting up an act Vivi forgave him and wanted to marry him. And despite aaall that drama he left her stranded at the mandap ! These are her last memories of Atharv.

Now after 4 years she's barely getting by. Has anyone seen her smile at all? I haven't. Nobody could relate to the Vividha in Phase 4. And today she herself told us why.. She still doubted her decision to marry Ravish. She knew she was broken and irreparable. And despite her unpleasant (to say the least) last memories with Atharv she still hoped he would come back. This was Vividha until she saw Atharv today .

And then she saw Atharv. This was what he looked like to her. He was carefree, smiling away, hugging and kissing his wife. He and his wife had a child on its way. They were about to become parents! His life was perfect!

According to Vividha her life, her dreams, her happiness all died the day Atharv walked out of her life. Time had passed but she still stood where she was 4 years ago, broken. But not Atharv. He had embraced his life without Vividha and was truly happy. So no, I don't believe Vividha is hyprocrite because she had never moved on. Marrying someone in the spur of the moment is not the same as moving on. Today She was angry, hurt, broken.. she didn't stop to think why he was now called Raghav, or why he would want to stay in his fathers hosie, a father he hated so much.. no she didn't think about all that. All she could see and think was that he had moved on with another (in a true sense) and she was far from it. She reacted the way I expected her to react. And it's good because she has voiced her true feelings today. Feelings which she kept supressed for 4 years.

Tomorrow when the initial anger subsides she will start putting bits of the puzzle together :)

It may be unfair to point at Vividha , after the last set of events that happened on the wedding day ... though I have not watched of late and i am not even sure as to what she did today ...

I lost my feel for the show the day Atharv left her at the Alter ...The worse thing anybody could do to anybody they loved ...That day I felt my biggest ever disconnect with the show ...

There may be n no of justifications or reasons that can be given for that day and its events , but being left pathetically all alone on the day of your highest expectations can never have enough justification for me ...

Nobody can be expected to be waiting for a guy who behaves in this manner ... especially when one does not even have an accurate idea of that events that have happened ...

But all said and done I blame the makers for this disconnect they have created in the show ... A disconnect which is too far fetched ...

Hey! I completely understand. At the end of Phase 3, everybody's actions were hard to justify and were completely out of character..why Atharv acted mad, why he didn't tell Vivi about his illness, why Vivi married Ravish..all of it. And the answer to that is the leap. I've said this on my other posts as well. The lead up to leap was so rushed and hastily done that we were all left wondering what the hell was going on. I guess that's showbiz...ViTharv had to be separated so the CVs could spend 2 months trying to reunite them.. AGAIN!

Thanks for the post bubbles! I haven't seen the epi but I feel I can understand what Vivi must be going through. her state of feeling ofcourse would be like why should I care! He left me and now he is with another girl, I shouldn't care and I should move on because all he wanted was that I marry Ravish and I have!

Any girl would think like this but it would hurt. She has never stopped loving Atharv and even if he genuinely was with another girl, she won't stop loving Atharv. She may pretend and try and convince herself she has moved on but in reality she hasn't.

And no she isn't a hypocrite because its only due to Atharv she is married (or not) to Ravish.

Hey! No worries :) Seeing people's reaction towards Vivi I just wanted to present her pov (at least the way I saw it).

Watch the episode if you can :) It's heartbreaking but then you know it's for the best and is another step towards ViTharv reuniting. Yes, you're right. Vivi claims to have moved on, she says those words today without actually realising what it means. It sounded to me like she was trying to convince herself more than anything else.

When ViTharv are angry and hurt at each other all hell breaks loose! They say and do things which are extremely rash, but that's them, it's who they are. Their love for each other brings about other strong emotions in them. And in one such moment Vivi decided to marry R and now again to blame Atharv for moving on.

It will all pass and soon she will see sense :)

TRYING TO UNITE THEM AGAIN ----- that's the key .they probably get united in the last 1 minute of their last episode ...there is a way Separations have to be handled with logic while keeping the essence of the show and characterisation intact ... Just making it feel like a new story does not show any creative capability , rather shows the lack of it ... Watched for so long , felt every emotion with them , finally to be left with an utter feeling of resentment , annoyance and a regret of having ever watched ... And for that i cannot blame anybody other than myself ...SIGH

Well put and agree on Vividha.

And your last line makes me think, if she would initiate this on her own without the need for Suman's intervention ?

Tomorrow when the initial anger subsides she will start putting bits of the puzzle together

Would she dwell upon further what was presented to her earlier about Atharv post that conversation with Ravish ? At the very least, I wish Vividha initiates and tells Sujatha what she saw, not so that Sujatha will reveal (i know that's waiting to come later), but that assures a mother's hopes of her beloved son being alive.

Also thinking aloud, after all this while (4 years), her guilt baggage is loaded so high that i wonder how would she even volunteer to move out of her relationship with Ravish ? The marriage is a compromise and a reminder that when i was at my lowest this man was by me. Remember in Phase 2, she was loaded with so much guilt and hence painful for her to initiate or volunteer that Ravish had to initiate and make a public spectacle of 'letting her go'. Are the writers headed in the same path ? I would hate to see a similar repeat.

And in all this, how would Atharv even want her return to him after knowing she is married his brother again for the second time ? (and knowing the circumstances that led to that). Although he would know her heart pines for him and her compromises, but the reality is that Madhav is also in the picture now and has grown up to Ravish and Vividha being his parents.

I wonder if and how Atharv will even get back his Tabela :(

I am questioning myself these days, if i should continue being so emotionally vested in ViTharv's story. I hate that ViTharv (and us) have to see through everything that belonged to them getting snatched away 😭

Wonderful post Bubblez.

I wonder when Vivi will ever get a break and people will stop blaming her?

Four years ago, she was ready to marry Atharv, her dream was finally coming true and he left her sitting there waiting for him without saying a word. Once she realised he had gone, in anger she asked Ravish to marry her.

Four years later...

What do we know of Vivi's life? She is married, has a son, is running the business and everything looks great. LOOKS great. But do we know how she feels? Not once have we been privy to Vivi's thoughts as to what happened after she was left at the altar. Not once do we know how she feels about being married to a man she doesn't love, or having the baby of the man she does.

And the next time she sees Atharv is hugging and kissing his pregnant wife. How is she supposed to react and feel? Happy, that he seems to have moved on despite not caring about his mother or her for the last four years? Or should she have gone upto him and congratulated him?

It hasn't been easy for Vividha. Like you said Bubblez, she's suppressed her feelings for too long.

Now that Vivi knows where Atharv is I don't think she will be able to stop thinking about him. She's going to think and think until she realises that things don't add up.. like his name change, or why he's living at V house etc.. And Suman fortunately is just going to fire her suspicions up further and force her to go back to V house and investigate further. Don't think Vivi will tell Suji though until she gets to the bottom of it.

I couldn't agree more! The entire situation now is an utter mess! IF.. and it's a big IF, Ravish's character remains positive then I don't see how the Cvs can steer clear of the guilt trip route. I have a feeling Ravish has stopped being mahaan. He's not going to just give up the life he has step up in the last 4 years and hand her Vividha to Atharv when the time comes. And I hope that happens. I want the two brothers to get into a fight lol. I was sick of seeing the pukeworthy brotherly love being showered upon each other at the end of phase 3. The makers need to bring some grey shades into Ravishs character otherwise the story will keep going in circles.

Yes my biggest concern is Madhav. How that poor child will deal with the fact that his father is somebody else . It's going to be the hardest for him and for Atharv watching his son bond better with Ravish.
