Guddi were running towards Atharvs direction, Atharv were at the corner, somebody was trying to kill Atharv, Guddi saw and went to save Atharv, saved her Malpoha Jiju and she couldn't save herself from whoever wanted to harm Atharv.

He may thought he can get away with it temporarily and Avinash might be helping whoever want to harm Atharv. Atharv and Avinash were on the same direction when Avinash got shot. It was not meant for Avinash, seems. How that person would know that he will be there at that time?
