He ached to see her hurt like this.
He soon drifted off to sleep, holding her securely in his arms.
Sudden movement and muffled groans woke Sidharth up.
The soft light of the lamp fell on Roshni face. He could see her eyes dart under her eyelids. She was having a dream.
"No please don't!" Roshni cries broke the silence in the room, and desperate mumbling with more pleading emerged from her lips, but her eyes remained closed.
Sidharth shook her gently
"Roshni. ..Roshni wake up"
He hated that she was in pain, even in her dreams.
"Roshni my love...its .okay. It's just a dream"
She continued to cry and plead.
"No. ..no. ..Please. ." She cried
"Roshni" his voice was a little louder
Roshni eyes popped open. She was trembling.
"Ssshh. ..It's okay. I'm here Baby... don't be scared"
He caressed her hair and arms to calm her.
She didn't utter another word and drifted back to sleep.
It was quiet again. Only the whirr of the air conditioner filled the room.
No matter how peaceful it was, Sidharth could not sleep again.
Her nightmare, her screams were unexpected.
She was frightened and Sidharth blamed himself for it.
He pulled Roshni closer to his chest, closing his eyes. Even though he was fully awake and alert. He needed a second to hold her. To breathe her in. He wanted to ignore the danger for just a few seconds more.
He was unable to fall back asleep. He lay there, cursing Dev.
His mind worked overtime. He wanted him out of their lives for good. It was a long while until he finally fell asleep again.
NEXT MORNING
The sun came in through the curtains, as Roshni opened her eyes slightly, yawning.
She woke up to strong arms embracing her.
She tried to move, but Sidharth fastened his grip on her
"And where do you think your going my love"
Sidharth asked as he opened his eyes. Roshni eyes fluttered wide open, showing Sidharth those big brown eyes he loved so much. But the sparkle was missing.
He squeezed Roshni shoulders, and without warning he hauled her in closer.
"I'm not letting you go anywhere. Not now. Not ever"
Roshni lay back down next to him, and snaked her arms around his neck, playing with his hair. She looked into his eyes. .
"Don't you have office to go to"
"Nope aaj meri chutti hai..so there's no need for us to get out of bed" he winked
Roshni giggled
"Really...can you tell me which day of the week is not your chutti. .."
"Baby. .I'm a self made billionaire. ..I can handle deals with just a click of my finger. I don't need to go to office for that"
"Oh really" she chuckled
He lifted her chin and kissed her cheekbones. Roshni pulled back. ..A part of her was dying to ask him a question.
"Sidharth..."
"Hmm. ."
"Did you find out who that man was"
Sidharth looked at Roshni not knowing how to respond
"Huh..."muttered Sidarth, who was taken by surprise by her question.
"That man. ..that was in our room. .yesterday" she shuddered as recalled the incident.
"Ah. ..woh. ... No...I mean yeah he was just some petty thief...trying his luck..here. ..."
Roshni face went pale
"What's the matter Roshni?"
"I'm not sure Sidharth. When he touched me. ...His eyes.."
"What Roshni. .."
"I felt like it was Dev"
Looking up into Sidharth eyes
"But that's not possible right. Dev is in jail..
It couldn't have been him. Right Sidharth..." her voice trailed away as a tear appeared in the corner of her eye.
Sidharth gently wiped away her tear with his thumb and kissed her on her forehead
"When I looked into his eyes I saw the same darkness, that I've always see in Devs eyes...I was so scared Sidharth"
"Sssh Ssshh. ...there's nothing to worry about Roshni. Mein hoon nah. I will never let anything happen to you"
Roshni still lost in her thoughts...
"He held me so tight...His hands.." she shuddered remembering
"His hands.. what Baby.." Sidharth tone was a little harsher
"His hands were against my cheeks, my ears, my chin and my body, stroking me. Why would a theif do that. I don't understand.. I felt so dirty Sidharth" she closed her eyes.
Sidharth gritted his teeth
"He. ..He... touched you"
Roshni eyes were still closed in shame.
"I'm sorry Sidharth. ..I couldn't stop him...He was so strong"
Tears began to flow at a quicker pace as Roshni felt as if she had betrayed Sidharth.
Sidharth shook his head, desperately wanting Roshni to delete these thoughts from her mind
"No Baby No..It wasn't your fault"
Sidharth cupped her face in his palms lovingly, wanting to calm her nerves.
"He touched you here..."
She nodded, and he gently kissed her cheeks
Then he moved to her ear
"Here"
"Hmmm..." replied Roshni and he kissed it
Then he lowered his lips to her chin
"Here"
She nodded again closing her eyes
Sidharth kissed every place he had dare to touch
He moved in closer to her lips
"Here"
She opened her eyes
"No Sidharth he didn't touch me here..."
Sidharth looked at her innocent eyes, and smiled
"If he had I would have..." but he managed contain his anger
"But anyway... I'm going to...These lips belong only to me"
He trailed his hand around her waist. His hands were like magic, which calmed Roshni trembling thoughts.
He lowered his face and his warm breath caressed her neck.
"Roshni. .."
Her blood began to boil in her veins as he left a trail of kisses all over her face
"You belong to me Roshni. Tum meri Ho. ...sirf meri"
The brush of his lips against hers was so soft, so
gentle.
His tongue slid across her lips parting them, then slowly circled her tongue.
He ran his hand down.her arms, and her skin shivered with goosebumps.
His lips moved back and forth across her lips
"Soft so soft" he murmured
"If I touch you were it hurts, let me know okay" he murmured between the kisses
She shuddered at the heat of his breath, on her sensitive skin, but somehow she managed to nod.
Their lips kept meeting and retreating enjoying each others taste
Sidharth heart pounded against his ribs, daring him to lose control... He knew he had to stop. He knew she was not ready yet for any intimacy. ..
"Urggg. ..give me a medal for self restraint yaar. Not fair..." Sidharth complained as he pulled away reluctantly.
Roshni smiled and with a shaky laugh
"Bas twenty eight days to go Sidharth"
Sidharth looked at her
"Are you kidding me. Yahan ek second guzarna mushkil ho gaya, and your saying BAS twenty eight days more. Not fair eh. Zakhm pe kyon namak chirak rahi ho"
Roshni ran her finger down his cheek seductively
"Awww...my poor Baby...I'll personally give you your reward Jaan" pouting her lips at the same time.
Sidharth expression went from sulking to pure happiness in a matter of seconds.
His usual adorable smile was back instantly.
"Oye hoye. ..If you talk like that then...I'll go even more crazy..mein... pagal ho jaounga. ."
Roshni smile slowly disappeared
"Sidharth, I'm sorry...your spending your time looking after me, when you should be concentrating on your business. ...I'm such a burden nah"
"Pehli air akhri baar keh raha hoon. ...Don't you ever say that again...Burden...aur tum...There is nothing more important in my life than you Roshni. Nothing.
I'm always going to here for you Baby. Always...because I love you" he kissed her on her forehead
"And I love you too"
After a pause, he picked up his mobile from his side table. ..
"Baby could you just repeat that again..."
"Repeat what Jaan. .." asked Roshni puzzled
"Wohi about my reward...I want to make sure that you don't go back on your words. ..need to record it and keep it save.." he winked
"Sidharth your crazy" laughed Roshni

Roshni repeated the words just to satisfy him...
Taking her tighter in his arms. ..
"Ready to brush your teeth", he winked

Roshni grabbed one of her clutches and slowly got up from the bed.
"Ooch" she shrieked as she tried to stand
Sidharth quickly got up.
"Roshni. ..where's it hurting...wait I'll carry you"
"No Sidharth...Please I need to try myself..."
Her legs were a little shaky, as she walked, holding on to things as she slowly made her way to the bathroom.
"Sambhalke Roshni. ."
"I'm fine Sidharth"
Sidharh couldn't help but follow her closely behind, making sure she didn't fall. As soon as they reached the bathroom, Roshni turned around
"This is as far as you come Mister. ."
"But. ..but..."
Roshni mouthed a kiss and waved at him as she closed the door
"I'm right outside if you need anything Baby"

He took put his phone
"Rahul I want to see all the footage on the CCTV camera's. ...from yesterday, and from the day of the accident. .I want to check it myself."
Sidharh picked up Roshni picture and stroked it gently. He looked up

As Sidharth stood outside the bathroom, his phone began to buzz. He eyed the the number, the caller id was again unknown.
"Dev. .."
"Amazing. Good guess Mr Khurana"
"I swear..I'll. .." his heart thumping loudly, as rage began to rise within him

"And what prove do you have, to send me to Jail. ..Did Roshni id me. ..No nah." he smirked
"Let's get to the main point Mr Khurana. I've changed my mind. I'm not going to kill Roshni after all..

Sidharth flurries his eyebrows, bewildered by his statement
"I suppose your wondering why the sudden change in my attitude. .like I said I'm really a sweet guy"
Sidharh let out a shaky sigh
"Yesterday when Roshni was in my arms, I could have slit her throat there and then...
But my God. ..she was looking so beautiful. ...her skin was so soft against mine...The feel of her sexy body. All her curves...ah ha ha ha..."
Sidharth smashed his wrist against the wall

About thirty minutes had passed and Roshni had not come out of the bathroom.
Sidharth began to panic.
He knocked on the door, but Roshni did not answer. .
He knocked twice again , no answer.
"Roshni. ..Roshni". There was silence
Sidharth stepped back and pushed the door forcefully with his leg...
Roshni was lying on the floor. .unconscious
Sudden panic gripped him as he ran to her
"Roshni Roshni" he screamed
He scooped her into his arms and rushed her to the bed
"Roshni. ..Roshni. .."
After some time, she slowly opened her eyes and smiled
"Sidharth. .."
"W. ...W...What happened. .."
"I don't remember. ..I just felt dizzy...then...I don't remember..."
"Roshni why don't you understand. .You are very weak...and those strong medications...your bound to feel dizzy...bas apni marzi karni hai har waqt" he scolded her, to make her understand
Sidharth hugged her tight
"When I saw you lying there...I...I ...Jaan lo gi kya meri."
Roshni pouted making a cute face
"Shorrry. ."
Sidharth gazed at her
"Oh God..why does she have to be so cute...Gussa bhi nahin karne deyti teek se" he thought to himself
"Sidharth. .woh"
"Chup bilkul chup. ..from now on you don't move from this bed. ..wherever you want to go...I'll carry you...Got that. ."
Roshni nodes her head "Yes Boss" and giggled
