If Ragini Sengupta doesn't exist - why is Roshni Khurana in jail????

I was supposed to post this from yesterday, but I still wanna post it.

As far as I know know, Ragini is truly and will always be Roshni. On her legal documents, marriage certificate, birth certificate, driver's license, passport, doctor reports etc her name is Roshni Khurana. There was no legal process where Roshni legally changed her name to Ragini Desai/Sengupta. The real question is: how is Roshni arrested for attempt to murder if Ragini Sengupta doesn't exist? Isn't this person a made-up identity, like an alias or something?? The charges are on Ragini but thats not her legal name so how is she in prison?

I don't know if there is a law term for this, so if there is any law students here please help out.

Ok so here's one more question in regards to the property papers. Shouldn't Neil and "Ragini" be in the presence of a lawyer, inorder for Mithul and Ranjeet to get the property and Mauve?
