SidNi OS : Store-Room cum battle-field
"Open up damn it.." shouted Siddharth banging on the door wildly and that is when he heard a familiar voice.
"What the hell who is shouting like a fool??" Roshni came in rubbing her eyes and looked to see him standing there with a shocked look.
"Oh my baby is here." she said smirking and went closer to him. He moved back visibly distraught at her moves and fed up of her ways.
She didn't like anyone saying no to her and said,"Come on I have been waiting for you since the last half an hour and I also slept!"
"So what do I do?" he asked showing off his attitude although he could never remain angry on her for long.
"Forgive me na!" she said coming close to him and trying to hug him. He pushed her away and sat in a corner totally avoiding her.
"Come on did I do such a big mistake that you will behave like this?" asked Roshni and he looked at her in an absurd way.
"If you really think you did nothing then what's the use of asking for forgiveness?" he asked folding his arms and trying to hide the tears that formed in his eyes.
"Fine I'll call Ranbir then and he will open up the door." she said and took out her phone but next second threw it on the ground.
"What the hell!! Are you out of your hinges?" he asked jumping to his feet seeing her throw her phone away.
"Mr. Einstein uski battery is dead!" she said snapping back at him. Who could think they were dating?
"Wow really? So just throw it away? And what were you doing from so long that the battery died?" he asked losing his calm totally.
"I was playing games coz you were bloody late." she shouted not able to take his crap anymore!
"Oh I thought you were talking with your new boyfriend.." said Siddharth taunting her and she came forward and held his collar.
"How dare you? I am not a cheap girl you get it?" she asked tears stinging her eyes and he immediately regretted his words.
"I am sorry,I didn't mean it." he said looking down ashamed of himself when she made him look up.
They both were standing very close and he noticed it just now. She pushed him to the almirah kept behind him.
He resisted her and held her hands tightly , in the blink of an eye he had changed their position.She was now pinned to the almirah and they were staring deep into each other's eyes.
"You don't love me anymore na?" she asked oh-so-innocently and he for a moment lost himself in her captivating gaze.
"This is the question I should ask you after seeing you with Ranbir that day." he said stepping backward and anger replaced his emotions.
He punched the almirah violently and turned around trying to keep a check on his emotions. He was replaying the scene he had witnessed some days ago.
"Ahh!!"he heard her voice and turned towards her bad started laughing uncontrollably. She was stunned seeing him do so.
"What?? You always get me in problems." she said shouting and trying to wipe the paint off her face and dress.
Siddharth looked at the paint box kept on the top shelf that was now making Roshni look so cute and adorable.
"Actually you are not the cause of my problems, Ranbir is! Such a useless brother." she said and took out her hanky.
Siddharth stood rooted to the spot hearing her say this. "Brother?" he asked a smile lighting up his face and Roshni looked at him in a 'What-is-wrong-with-you' look.
"Ya obviously but." she stopped as she realized he was doubting her of cheating him.
"Roshni I am sorry ,I didn't mean to." he moved forward to apologize for mistrusting her but she was hurt ,very hurt.
"You thought I was.." she started and looked away disgusted. She was heartbroken at what he thought about her.
"No baby I was just.." Siddharth explained himself but she showed him her finger asking him not to continue any longer.
A silence crept up between them. Siddharth went closer and cleaned her clothes with how hands ,he removed the paint that had seeped in her hair.
She was all this while looking sideways trying to ignore him when she felt a tear drop on her face. She saw him shedding tears and her heart ached.
"I know I doubted you but it was not mistrust ,it was..." he paused and finally said it ,"Jealousy!"
His admittance made her look at him and his eyes depicted that he was speaking the truth. He moved away and sat down holding his head.
"I was jealous ,he is so smart whereas I am just a commoner. Why would you choose me instead of him? Or for that matter me instead of anyone? All the people in the college deserve you but I don't." he said pouring his heart out.
She was so happy to see him sharing things with her ,he was just insecure but he did trust her. She went close to him and cupped his face.
"Buddhu that's the reason you deserve me because you are so so cute." she said pulling his cheeks and he smiled a bit among his tears.
She wiped his tears and said ,"You are very special to me and I will not leave you for anyone!" she said and he hugged her tight.
"Not even for Shah Rukh?" he asked breaking the hug after sometime and she started to think hard contemplating the chances.
"Nah.." she replied and crashed herself in his arms. He smiled and said ,"Sorry!"
She laughed and said ,"It's ok but you created this store-room into a battle-field. Next time we will fight somewhere else okay?"
"No I loved the paint on you ,we will fight here only." he said childishly stomping his foot and she got up to fight when the door opened.
"Can you guys fight some other time? The principal is coming here!" Ranbir informed and they shared a look of horror.
"Oh Shit ,let's run Roshni." Siddharth screamed taking her hand and running out at full speed and kissed her on her cheeks in the middle.
She stopped and asked startled ,"What was that for?" He came closer and pinned her to the wall.
"For agreeing to battle with me your whole life." he replied and she hid herself in his chest blushing red.
