Part 7

Siddharth was busy in his meeting, when he hears commotion outside the cabin. He calls his Secretary and receives shocking news that one of his buildings caught fire. He switches on the news channel and sees the disturbing news. It was the same building in which they were living. It was the same floor where the fire broke out.

"Roshni" he thought. He shivered with fear. He couldn't even think of the worse, he had to save her somehow. He runs from the cabin and he gets the news that all rescued were taken to the hospital.

Siddharth reaches the hospital. He felt like each passing second had become like a year. He was anxious as well as scared to death for Roshni. He didn't know what he would do if anything happened to her. He gets to know the room no. from the reception and he walks towards the room. His hands shivered with fear when he opened the door. He saw Roshni in the hospital bed, her right leg was plastered and apart from that she had small scratches on her face and hands. Tears flew down his cheeks and then he saw that Yash was sitting beside Roshni holding her hands.

"What are you doing here?" he bursted angrily.

Yash leaves Roshni's hands immediately and stands up.

"I just came as soon as the hospital called as I was listed in her emergency contact list. I came 5 minutes before. Calm down, Siddharth. This is a hospital" he said.

The doctor enters the room and says that only one person could stay in the room. Since Siddharth was her husband he had to stay with Roshni. Yash leaves the room saying that he had to inform DD.

Siddharth slowly walks towards the bed and sits beside it.

"Oh god, Roshni I am so sorry, I shouldn't have left you alone at home. This is all my fault Roshni. Please forgive me and come back to me. I can't live without you, baby. Please... " he holds Roshni's face and cries.

Siddharth asks the doctor about her condition to which the doctor tells him that she had fractured her ankle in an attempt to save herself from fire, and there were minor burns on her hands. Nothing was critical and she would be fine and discharged in 2-3 days. Siddharth sighs with relief and asks when she will be awake. The doctor told him as she was under sedatives she will be conscious and unconscious for a while. Siddharth patiently sits beside Roshni still teary seeing his ray of light in this manner. He calls up his Dad to inform him about the incident.

After an hour or so, DD enters the room worriedly. Siddharth knowing that he had to share Roshni with others calmly walked outside to give them their private moment. Outside, the entire Patel family was sitting worried along with Raj and Kritika. He goes to Nani ma and consoles her telling that everything will be alright soon.

"Roshni is awake" said DD.

All rush inside to see her. Siddharth goes and sits beside her. She opens her eyes and looks at everybody standing beside her bed and gives a faint smile assuring that she is fine. DD, Yash Nani, Bablu Chachu, Pratima, Kritika, Raj and Siddharth. Her smile disappears when she sees him.

Siddharth takes her hand and tells her, "Roshni.. I am so sorry for not being there. All this happened because of me.." He starts crying softly.

"You are right, Siddharth this is your fault. Why are you crying now? This is what you wanted right?" accused Roshni.

"What are you saying, Roshni ? I am unable to understand." said Siddharth.

"Acting bandh karo Siddharth! Kab tak tum jhoot ka natak karte rahoge mere saath? Everytime I try to forgive you for your lies, and then new lies come in front of me! We can't live like this forever! Please just leave me, Sid. I am tired of all this. Let me be now.. you have already won, now no more. Please."

"Acting? You think I am doing drama now? I love you, Roshni! What the hell happened? I thought everything was fine between us. After making you understand so much what I have been through these months and why I lied you still think that I am lying? What happened, just tell me!" Siddharth said angrily.

All the others were shocked to see them like this and were waiting for an answer from Roshni.

"Siddharth, stop shouting, this is a hospital, Roshni is unwell..you don't care about her but we do." said DD.

"No, mom let me say. I saw the video Siddharth which you made with your sister. You.. you wanted revenge from me for leaving you.. that's why that day you got brandy and got me drunk so that you could take your revenge and then today you sent that man to the house to start the fire! I saw him telling you on the phone about the work being done. I never thought you could stoop so low.. I was right rich people have no emotions, they love to play with them like it's a toy. But Siddharth I am not a toy that you can achieve."

Siddharth stood up slowly. He was hurt that his Roshni thought such low of him. He was angry but he saw that Roshni was hurt physically and had gone through a lot because of the fire. He wanted to shout and scream his point of view in front of others. But would that matter? He could see in her eyes the accusation and the hurt. He could sense her mistrust. Siddharth closes his eyes and takes a deep breath to calm himself down.

"After living with me for so long if you think that I wanted to use you and try to kill you then I am sorry Roshni I can't do anything about it. I am done trying to gain your trust back. I can see that you can never trust me again, so it is of no use to explain myself to you. You were right before, hamara alag ho jana hi behtar hai. For you, your family, my family and for me. This thing between us, it's over." he said calmly with teary eyes.

"I will send the divorce papers once you get discharged." And he leaves the room. Raj and Kritika follows him outside.

Roshni cries silently in bed, DD comes close to her and consoles her.

Okay, guys I know this is a sad one. Don't hate me for separating them 😆
