The episode starts with DD booking a beach party for the New Year celebrations and tells Nani that the party will be her gift for Sid. Nani assures her that Sid will be very happy that her sacrifice for staying as a ghar jamai will be accomplished and his hard work hasn't gone in vain. She tells DD that it's not a gift, but a blessing from his saas. DD asks Pratime to hand over the list of guests to her and Pratima does so. DD looks at the list and asks her to add Sid's parents in the list because they are Roshni's in laws. Nani gets ecstatic and tells DD she's happy seeing the change in her. DD tells her not to praise so much otherwise someone will ruin their happiness.
Mona hears DD happily discussing about her plans and scolds her saying that she's only bothered about Roshni and not Samaira. DD justifies herself and says that Roshni and Samaira are the same for her. Mona tells her that she doesn't think so and even when Rajveer helped her so much she is still thinking about Sid and not Rajveer. DD tells her it's her misunderstanding but Mona angrily walks out without listening to her. Nani gets worried and thinks that whenever there's happiness in their family, hurdles come in between.
Sid sees off his parents from the dinner venue and wishes them for the new year. Krutika sees Sid happy with Roshni and evilly thinks of snatching their happiness. She accelerates and drives rashly towards Roshni but an NGO kid sees the car heading for Roshni and rescues her. Sid is shocked seeing Roshni and the child on road bleeding.
Raj and Simran reach home and think of wishing Krutika a happy new year but a maid informs them that Krutika isn't present at home. Simran tells Raj that Krutika might have gone to meet her boyfriend but as they turn around they find Krutika hurriedly walking in and going to her room; shutting the door behind her.
Sid and Roshni rush the NGO kid to the hospital. The doctor checks the child and tells Sid to inform the police because it's a legal hit and run case. The doctor asks Roshni to get her head injury nursed but Roshni insists on saving the child first. DD calls Roshni to wish her a new year and when Roshni picks up the call, she tells DD that she's in City Hospital but before she could explain; she gets a dizzy spell and faints due to the head injury. Sid notices her and goes to her screaming out her name. While on the other side of the phone; DD gets worried and rushes out to the hospital.
The doctor nurses Roshni's wounds and she regains consciousness. Sid asks her how she's feeling but Roshni tells him to worry about the child and not her. Sid tells her not to worry because she's injured. DD reaches at the hospital with the family and gets worried seeing Roshni who assures her that she's fine. DD calls her neurologist and tells him about Roshni's condition. Roshni tries getting off the bed saying she wants to meet the child. DD asks her to stay in bed and take extra care. Roshni tells her just the way she's worried for her daughter as a mother; she's also worried for the NGO children. She gets off the bed and stands outside the operation theater where the doctors are operating on the child.
An inspector asks Roshni if she saw the culprit. Roshni tells them the culprit seemed like a rich spoiled girl who was drunk. She tells them the last few numbers from the plate of the car. DD tells the police she wants the girl and her parents to be punished.
In her room; Krutika nervously thinks about how she tried killing Roshni while she was intoxicated. Simran walks in and asks her what happened. Krutika tells her they'll get separated again now even though they just met recently after so many years. Simran asks her what happened and Krutika nearly takes Roshni's name but then thinks again that if she took Roshni's name then Simran won't help her. She changes her story and says that she was driving and a kid came in front of her car and met with an accident. Simran says that they should inform the police. Krutika hugs her and tells her she's scared that she'll be separated from her mother but Simran assures her that nobody will separate them. The door bell ring.
