Even Ramanand Sagarji said in his show that Tulsidasji did not write Uttar Kand, because he could not bear to write about Sita Ma's sufferings, but he (Dada Sagar) also said that at the behest of others, Tulsidasji wrote Uttar Kand very later on. Is that true? If not, then I think it is wrong to show Luv Kush fighting their uncles (as written in other books and shown in about every movie or serial) because it is written no where in Valmiki that they did.

But I'm surprised that about every movie/serial based on Uttar Kand show Luv Kush fighting their uncles and tying up Hanuman. Not one (as much as I know at least) follow Valmikiji's Uttar Kand. Isn't Adhyatma Ramayana another famous Ramayan? I think in it's UK, Luv Kush fight their uncles. Don't know...

Yes, I too agree that movies or serials should never be taken as sources for our scriptures, but they're fun to watch and sometimes, people's interest in scriptures arise from serials, and when the serial is over, they want to find out the true story so do their own research based on books.

No. See, its right that Tulsidas ji wrote Uttar Khand but all of it has the meaning of Dharam, Arth, Kama and Moksha. Not about Sita maiya and Luv-Kush. Its not he wrote later on. He wrote. But just about these above 4 things.!

I think Valmiki Ramayan has the fighting and all di. But this much is true that they did 😊

I ll tell you honestly Di, I havent Ramayan ji in as much detail as this as I have read other Purans and all. I did be able to tell things from those very well but Valmiki Ramayan I ll have to check up. But as far as I remember UK has the fighting bit. If you want to know when I check up about the Tulsidas ji reincarnation thing along with that I ll check that too! 😊

Ramanand Sagarji's Ramayan was taken well, very close to Ramcharitmanas, but his Uttar Kand, though also taken well, did not stick very much to the story. Though his Shri Krishna serial also has some mistakes, it is still fun to watch because the way he showed Radha and Krishna's relationship was so beautiful.😍

Awww...hehe truee!! Atleast something that would make many manyy of our hindus who now dont even think about our scriptures make them attach towards it.

You know Gita press is a print which would ask you to find us any mistakes if we have done in our litreature and send them to us and we will correct that and along with that pay you as well. Their litreature is to that T that they know what they are printing. They dont do cheda kani with our scriptures. I simply love GP!!
