This was the city which Lord Krishna had submerged when he got all the Yaduvanshis killed by making them fight with each other so as to finish the Yadu vansh. It was first to save them to keep the honour and respect of the Rishis whom Jarasand had left behind to sit in a Puja for his victory when he came back to conquer Mathura for the 18th time after he had lost to Lord Krishna 17 times before. This time Lord Krishna took all the Braj vasis and everyone along with him to Dwaraka which he got made overnight by Vishwakarma to take all the Braja vasis there so that this time Jarasand wud win bcoz he had left the Brahmans behind and since Thakur ji wud never allow the loss of any Brahman he left Mathura. And hence one name, Ranchor Rai 😳
Well, today it has been found again!!! :D
