As they all unloaded out of the car, Aarav playfully shoved his brother and suddenly the twins were off in a race to the trailhead.

"Aagham!" Ragini called, at the same time Nachiket shouted for Aarav.

The two froze and looked back.

"Everyone stays together," warned Nachiket.

"But Dad - " began Aagham.

"No buts." Ragini held out two bottles toward them. "And don't forget your water."

The boys looked at each other and resigned to their fate, shuffled back to the group.

Ragini glanced over at Nachiket and was surprised to see a smile playing on his lips. She raised her eyebrows.

"I missed this," he whispered in response as he slung the bag she offered over his shoulder.

She rolled her eyes at his sentimentality but reached out to straighten the twisted strap. "Only you would find this romantic."

Nachiket laughed and lowered his voice as he leaned in towards her ear. "Romantic? You just wait, Mrs. Khanna." He winked as he pulled away to lead the group.

Ragini couldn't stop the smile from forming on her face and was startled when Dimpy nudged her shoulder. "Shall we?"

They had been walking for a while nachiket was at the front with aarav,aagham and ranbir they were all messing around with their dad ragini was walking with suhanni she was smiling watching her boys having fun. Nishi had joined suhanni and ragini "mum can we ask u a question" "cause nishi" "is everything ok between u and dad" "yes why" "i heard u arguing that day in ur room and then dad was not talking to u" suhanni said "everything is fine i promise" then jignesh called nishi she went off smiling. Nachiket noticed ragini had slowed down quite a bit so he stopped "dad" "you lot carry on i am waiting for your mum ranbir"

Ragini finally caught upto where nachiket was waiting he smiled at her "why did u stop" "waiting for you" suhanni looked at her mum and dad "i will leave u two alone" nachiket smiled "see how senisble our daugther is" ragini smiled they started walking "you ok ragini if you are tired we can stop" "i am fine carry on" they walked together for a bit when ragini grabbed his arm and put her hand in his he looked at her "whos getting romantic now Mrs Khanna" "no ideas nachiket" he smiled and squeezed her hand.

They finally reached the end of the trail the kids were sat down and waiting for them cause nachiket had the bag with food in. "Finally dad we are starving" aagham said "you are always starving" they sat down to have the pinic. "Are we walking back" aagham said "no we are flying back" nachiket said while hitting him over the head "mum tell dad he's hitting me" ragini smiled "nachiket leave him" he smiled at his dad.

Nachiket watched as Ragini barely touched her plate, munching on a few chips instead. But before he could comment, Ranbir beat him to it.

"Mom? Aren't you hungry?"

She brushed off his concern. "Just not yet beta."

"But you barely had breakfast," Suhani added. "Bas ek cup chai."

"I'm fine." Ragini smoothed Suhani's hair. But though she put more effort into finishing her sandwich, he knew it was to mollify the kids above all else.

As they began the trip back he drew her close. "Are you OK?"

She nodded. "Really, the fresh air is helping." Her usually bright skin seemed pale.

He put his arm around her and she didn't protest, leaning a little more against him as they strolled back under the canopy of leaves.
