The morning passes away in a flurry of activities as an overjoyed Nachiket calls Ragini to inform that he has been offered the second job as well.

Ragini smiled at his exuberance at the other end of the line. And asks

'But Nachiket, the job offered yesterday is with a bigger Hospital group, right?'

'Yes, yes' Nachiket answers, flinging his suit inside the car, while walking over to the driver's side.

He replies back

'This is a Heart Speciality Hospital, Ragini and very high-tech and updated. They are now planning to expand further in the same area of specialisation and they need international expertise. That's me.'

'Of course Nachiket. I am happy. I think you have already chosen' Ragini says as she walks up to the canteen, only to be met with Dr Devika there. She sits down on the same table as Devika, and signals for a standard meal. Devika was already half done.

'Where are you sweetheart?' Nachiket asks, his words spreading warmth across her being.

Ragini digs into her food as she answers

'At the canteen. With Devika. It's lunch time, Nachiket. Why don't you return home and have lunch with Maa? She would be happy.'

'Nah' he replies as he starts the car.

'I have some preparations to make, for tonight's celebrations'

A shiver runs through Ragini as she disconnects the call and smiles down happily at her plate of food.

Devika stares at her and after a while says

'Dr Khanna is definitely keeping you busy all night, Ragini. being married to him suits you'

Ragini blushed on Devika's comment. Night!
"Hello? Kahan kho gai?" Ragini looked up on hearing Devika's voice.
"Kahin nahi. Tumhara lunch ho gaya na?" Ragini asked, covering her blush by taking a bite of the food.
"Haan! I'm going. Vaise, when you have a husband like Dr. Neil, how can you even think about leaving the home?" Devika had leaned towards Ragini on the table and whispered the last sentence. Ragini narrowed her eyes and hit her on the shoulder, "Don't even think about my husband," Both of them laughed. "When you're jealous, you can kill people with your eyes. Mujhe marna nahi h!" Devika left.
It was 2 pm. 4 more hours to go before she would see Nachiket. She finished her lunch and went to her cabin. She picked up her phone and sent a text to her husband, "Can the night not come sooner?"

She smiled reading the msg she replied back

Its always beautiful with you.

She looked at the time it was only 5 still a hour to go before she saw him. She wanted to make up for what she had said this morning. It was finally 6 she was getting ready to leave when her phone bleeped nachiket name flashed up.

Jaan i am waiting

She smiled and replied back

On way home now handsome

The moment she reached the flat, he greeted her at the ground floor with a big bear hug. She could feel all his happiness and excitement when he did that.. finally their lives were going to be sorted. She knew Nachiket would never able to manage without fulfilling work. She beamed back at him. His happiness was everything to her.

He held her arm gently and they walked to the lower floor flat and had tea with super nani and maa. She was touched by his gesture. He always knew how to take out time with everyone. Maa was regaling them with anecdotes of Nishi and Aarav's childhood and they laughed till they had tears in their eyes..

They had dinner and were all celebrating nachikets new job.

Ragini was washing up when he came and stood next to her his eyes burning a hole in her. "How long you going to be" she smiled at him "not long" "well i am going up don't be long" nachiket walked out.

He had been gone about a hour ragini had been trying to get away from the kids she finally managed it and she went up to their flat when she got there the door was locked. She was suprised she knocked. "Nachiket"

"One minute ragini" he finally opened the door and she came in

When she entered she was surprised to be greeted with darkness. "Nachiket, did the lights go out? They were working downstairs."

"Not quite," his voice rumbled from behind her and she involuntarily shivered from the effect of his proximity, his familiar scent teasing her, just as she could feel his solid body so close to hers but not yet touching.

As her eyes adjusted she noticed the candles dotting the room, the warm light flickering and glowing in time with her unsteady heartbeat. And as she slipped her sandals off, her feet met the soft, silky sensation of rose petals underneath, the deep red trail leading to their bedroom door.

Ragini's breath caught and she turned to meet his eyes.
