"Ragini utho, Ragini utho.. Kitna soti ho?" , Nachiket tried to wake her up, while she slept the most beautiful dreamy sleep. "Ragini..", he cried again, picking up the clothes that were scattered all over.
"Sone do na Nachiket", she mumbled with a smile burying herself further into the blanket
"Kitna achcha din hai, utho bahar chalte hai", he said looking out of the window and breathing in the fresh air...
Ragini blinked her eyes and half opened them, just enough to catch a glimpse of him.. "Vacation pe hai Nachiket... Aur kal raat bhi tum ne sone nahi diya", she complained, before covering her face with the blanket and adjusting herself.
"Achcha? tumhe kisne kahan tha, wo dress pehen ke aaneko? tumhi ne shuru kiya", he replied, facing her with hands on his hips.
"Maine?? you were the one drooling over that dress, Nachiket. I was tired with all the cooking, I had decided to sleep after dinner.", Ragini replied instantly sitting up on the bed,.Then realizing, she wasnt wearing anything, fell back, to lay down again, with the blanket still loyally covering her.
"Achcha?", he asked raising brow, forcing her to hide her blush.. "Chalo chodo, jo hua achcha hua, breakfast order karta hoon, utho bhi ab", he said casually and went on to pick up the hotel phone.. "Phone kharab hai..", he declared, after punching on all the buttons..
"Toh tum jaake, reception pe bolke aao na, aur breakfast bhi le aana.. tab tak mai uthke ready ho jaati hoon", Ragini suggested with a playful smile..
"Lagta hai, koi aur rasta nahi hai", he fussed. Then, after a couple of pouts from Ragini, he dragged himself out of their room. Ragini got up and occupied the bathroom.
Ragini was all dressed up in the saari, when she heard loud continuous banging on the door. She answered in panic, not knowing what to expect... then sighed in relief, looking at Nachiket.
Nachiket looked around a couple of times, as though someone was after him and quickly entered the room, closing the door behind him, bolting up every bolt possible.
Ragini: Kya hua, tum itne darre hue kyun ho?
Nachiket: Ragini.. Ragini.. yahan aao ( he pulled her to sit on the bed, and wrapped his hands and legs around her, sitting to her side. He then hid behind her..)
Ragini: Bhoot dekh liya kya?
Nachiket: Usse bhi bhayank
Ragini: Nivedita aagayi kya?
Nachiket(frowned): Uska naam lena zaroori hai?
Ragini (biting her tongue): Toh Ash.. Ashley thi?
Nachiket (shouting): Ragini , bahot ho gaya!! mere saare ex, ex <pause unable to think of a word> ..ko kyun laa rahi ho?
Ragini: Itne affairs kyun karne the? kitni saari ladkiyan... (she shrugged with disgust)
Nachiket: Woh affairs nahi the.. ok!! Tumhara bhi toh affair tha.. Dr Aman ke saath. Woh bhi toh mujhe daravane lagte hai, unka naam kyun nahi liya..
Ragini: Dr Aman ke saath mera koi affair nahi tha!! (she said sternly, making it clear). Ab batao bhi, aisa kya dekh liya
Nachiket: Ragini..you wont believe.. tumhare rishte daar bhi na, kahin bhi tapak padte hai.. Shaanti se Honyemoon bhi manaane nahi dete.. (he said tugging her tighter, kissing her lightly on her cheek)
Ragini (pushing him away): Mere rishte daar?? (she exclaimed with an expression of disbelief). Kyun? Kyun? Tumhare rishte daaronka kya, tumhari behen bhi toh aa tapki thi!!
Nachiket: Woh wahan tha.. Goa mein, its a city.. everyone keeps coming there.. coincidence tha. Tumhare rishte daar, iss island pe bhi nahi chodte hame. Aise rishtedaaron ko rakhti kyun ho tum? (he said with an expression of how cheap!!)
Ragini (confused and enraged, but still maintaining calm): Nachiket!! enough!! bahot suna diya mere rishtedaron ko.. jab main jaanti bhi nahi, kaun hai... Pata nahi tumko kabhi kabhi kya hojata hai.. Batao bhi ab, kisko dekha?
Nachiket: Sunny tai!!
Ragini turned around with mouth wide open.. then cringed her eyes, to make sure, he knew what he was saying..
Nachiket: Haan Ragini.. Haan, Sunny Tai ko dekha maine.. Yeh, Nauvvaari aurte mujhe bahot daravne lagte hai
Ragini: Achcha? Maine bhi toh Nauvvaari pehna tha, mai bhi kya daravni lag rahi thi?
Nachiket: Tum toh bahot sexy laggrahi thi.. tumhari kamar kya kamaal dikh rahatha us din, aur vo lachak jab tum chalti thi, Haaye.. mera hosh udgaya tha.
Ragin (blushing): Toh uss din bataya kyun nahi??
Nachiket: Bata ta toh, dahi haandi se pehle, tum mujhe tod deti.
Ragini: impossible!.. uss din, green kurte main tum bhi itne hot lagrahe the, apne aap ko sambhaal na mukshil ho raha tha.. Kitna careful thi main, ke pakdi na jaaon.
Nachiket (teasing): Achcha? toh tumne bataya kyun nahi.. batati toh.. na hum function me jaate, Naahi tumhara haath toot ta.. Jab Pati hot lage, toh bata dena chahiye..buri bala tal jaati hai
He said innocently, kissing her crimson red cheeks..
Ragini: Nachiket.. toh main phir se Navvari pehnoo.. mujhe bahot achcha lagta hai (she said shyly)
Nachiket (frenzied): Nai Nai, Nauvvari nahi.. already, yahan pe ek aayi hui hai...
ab toh hame poora din andar hee rehna padega.. Nahi toh woh pakad legi..
Ragini: Overreact mat karo Nachiket.. sirf Sunny Tai hai.. par woh yahan kya kar rahi hai.. ruko maa se pooch leti hoon
she picked up the phone and dialed her mom. After a couple of "o", "oh oh", "achcha achcha" and "Hum theek hai, dilli main bahot achcha hai, 2 din main vaapis aayenge", she disconnected.
She then casually, stood up, gently pushing his hands and feet aside.. While Nachiket stared at her curiously, waiting to know.. When she didnt answer for a few seconds and went on to do other things..
Nachiket: Toh?
Ragini: Toh kya?
Nachiket: Toh Sunny Tai hamare Honeymoon main kya kar rahi hai?
Ragini: Ah, woh.. haan.. unka kuch, bai group ka trip hai.. Woh yahan Lagori tournament ke liye aayi hai.. Kal unka, fisher-women ke saath koi important match hai..
Nachiket started laughing uncontrollably.."Kya?" and he laughed again..
Ragini glared at him.. then curbing his laugh..
Nachiket (with utmost disbelief and what the hell, expression): Kya? Lag.. Lagori tournament?
Phurr.. he started laughing again,..
Ragini: Nachiket, isme hasne ki kya baat hai?
Nachiket stopped laughing, unable to bare her angry glare
Nachiket (tensed): Saare Bai Aaye huye hai? ek se darta hoon, yahan poora gang hai?
Ragini: Tum itna tension kyun le rahe ho? woh hame disturb karne thodi aaye hai?
Nachiket: Hum kahin baahar nahi jaa sakte Ragini.. usne dekh liya toh.. Hame bhi apne team main shaamil kar legi.. phir hame yahan pe..
He wrapped his arms around her, then pecking on her neck.. "Pyaar karne ke bajaye, Lagori khelna padega", he finished in a whisper.
Ragini pushed him away..
Nachiket (after thinking for a bit): Chi, Koi aur sport nahi mila unko..
Ragini (sternly): Nachiket.. unko jo khelna hai khelne do na..
Nachiket: haan, aur hame jo khelna hai, woh hum khelenge.. right? (he said with a wink)
Ragini bit her lower lip and turned away...
Ragini: hum koi khel nahi khelenge.. chahe toh match dekhne jaa sakte hai.. Bai team ko cheer karenge..
Nachiket: Ragini, that is ridiculous..this is not funny.. mai bhi kya bai logon se class ki expect kar raha hoon..
Ragini (raising her index finger, sternly): Phir se class ki baat ki na, toh pakka lagori khilvaungi, bai-yon ke team mai... Breakfast laane gaye the na, kya hua uska?
Nachiket (lowering his head with a frown): Nahi gaya.. reception tak.. beech mai hee vaapis aagaya..
