He is a very laid back dad. He needs to learn when to be strict and when not to be strict. Arav is in jail because of him. And now the main reason he came to India in the first place is falling apart. Nishi's marriage. He should have listened to Ragini's concerns first before saying yes to the marriage. I really want a scene between Nishi and Neil where Nishi says "Papa, yeh apne kya kia...meri zindagi barbad hogayi." And now she will understand that Ragini was right all along. Maybe then Neil and Ragini would be more hurt by Nishi's divorce than their own divorce because kids' pain hurt a person most than their own pain.

That's not true. The only reason we think Ragini is wrong is because Ragini moved on w chamanlal. Other than that both are bad parents

Well Nishi's marriage for sure was Neil's doing and now when she suffers - he is not there to handle it and Ragini is left alone to suffer. Ragini was right all along about not giving into Nishi's demands. Had Neil not meddled - Nishi probably would have been still in a better position than she is now. Neil again needs to realize that by giving children the 'freedom' as he so believes - has not done good to any of his children. Neither Aarav - nor Nishi and definitely not Ranbir.

And this is not to say that Ragini was a good parent either - she has her flaws - but Neil is just beyond my understanding. Ranbir owning a gun/getting away with a hit and run accident, Aarav's business idea and Nishi's marriage - he messed up big time. 🥱

How can Neil go to USA when Aarav is in jail? Whatever
Ragini says but he as a father should have been there and gone to high court or
Supreme Court and made Aarav come out of jail.

The problem is Neil is too laid back and Ragini is too strict. A combination of them would work perfectly in any situation. But they can never work together and it's always one or the other. Arav being in jail is Neil's fault to a certain extent. Ragini is no saint though.

I think the best part of this show is the characters feel real compared to other shows. At least we don't have a saint, forgiving wife and stupid husband. Here both are equally at fault, both have flaws, and both seem human in a sense.
