Even if Ranbir purposely acts that way with Shilpa Shilpa is also equally responsible for her actions.

what u are saying is completely logical, one sided emotions are not too good, it will ultimately hurt u but, but matters of the heart doesnt listen to the brain, many of us tend to think emotionally at any given situation and here its emotions we are talking about...and aarav still doesnt know what shilpa's feelings really are, at times she seems uncomfortable around ranbir and then at other times she wants to dress according to ranbir's choice (the truth is shilpa herself doesnt know what her feelings are) And since aarav doesnt know for sure, he feels he still stands a chance with her and want to confess, nothing wrong with that and to top it he knows ranbir's motives aren't good, so instinctively u will wanna fight for the one u love, u want to protect them.add to that he already has insecurities and feelings of inferiority when it comes to ranbir, but he is a fighter and has the genetically obtained fire so its obvious he will put up a fight.teenagers are hormonal and mostly their so called love is only a crush or an infatuation but this doesnt rule out that their love can indeed be true love simply because majority of times it isn't. Aarav is a typical teenager living in his own small world, rebellious, stubborn, insensitive to parent and most times just illogical and stupid and to add to that his parents divorce has certainly had its psychological impact on him but underneath it all he is a good kid and u know why because at the end of the day he realizes his wrong doings, sincerely apologies and tries to make amends. And as far as his feelings are concerned it feels very genuine to me.he really truly cares about her.
