The kids: A humble analysis

Ranbir:

It's really difficult for me to imagine Avinash Mukherjee as Ranbir. He is still little Jagya! Anyway, as a character he works because he is the one anomaly among the kids (in the sense that the other kids yearned for the MIA parent but he only hated on Ragini). It's sort of realistic because he was old enough to process that his mother abandoned him and Pam certainly fed him lies. So, I get the angst. BUT I do not understand the sociopathic behavior he displays. Leaving a girl to die on the street, anyone? I got the idea he was into medicine or something. Isn't saving lives a professional duty? Or forget about the medicine, isn't saving lives a basic duty of every individual? I get being scared. I get that he panicked. But in order to show his humanity, probably they could have included a scene in which he makes an anonymous call tipping someone off about Shilpa. Even when Aarav hurled accusations at him about the Shilpa thing, he opposed Aarav almost as if he wasn't the culprit. Not a hint of remorse. So, he works as the troubled child. But eliminate the sociopathic tendencies he so frequently displays. I mean, hitting on your brother's secret crush? That's another low, man.

Neeshi:

This one has me confused. The character flip flops between good and bad so frequently that I really can't decide whether to like her or not. At one point, she offers to cancel her wedding so Ragini doesn't have to sell the flat. And the very next, she blames her mother for not wanting to see her married. Woman, your mom was ready to sell the flat for your wedding. Does that look like someone not wanting to see you happy? I even hated her not thanking Ragini at her engagement. Something as small as this makes a difference in how we perceive the character. May by the CVs should focus on making the good shine cause there's too much bad going on anyway.

Aarav:

Mujhe bike chahiye. Mujhe party chahiye. Mujhe Shilpa chahiye. Dude, get a grip on your life. And focus on the Math that you confessed you are so weak at. It may help you in achieving the things you so badly crave. This character annoys me because other than insulting Ragini, he has added absolutely nothing to the show.

Agham:

My absolute favourite. May be because I find Rohan Shah kind of cute. :P In all seriousness, this kid is the glue holding the younger generation together. A normal brother, who wants to have a normal happy family. My only complaint is that he needs a story. Not now cause there are too many open tracks. But in the future he needs a story (and I hope it doesn't focus on his love life cause that's just mundane. Show him wanting to study and build a future!) I mean, Ranbir-Aarav have the Shilpa track, Neeshi has a whole wedding track and Suhani has a track which is going to explode in a BIG way, so, CVs use the actor well.

Suhani:

The mystery child. I love her because of the bond she shares with Agham and I want to see more of her. Currently, she is adding nothing to the show (except for studying at Brown University at the tender age of 16, which makes me amazed at her intelligence to fast forward through two years of school, at the same time, making me ROFL for the whole situation) Anyway, I am waiting for the time she gets back to India and the Khanna-Patel parivaars just lose it. Her bonding with Ragini is one which will be amazing. I am certain.

the only kids i love and can connect with is agam-suhani...
I agree...suhani-ragini bonding will be the most touching bonding among the kids-parents bonding...we have seen the trailer in washroom scenes...it was so beautiful

we still do not know suhani's mystery...but she is the only kid who is a combination of Neira's genes...the rest either follow neil or ragini...in terms of selfishness...they follow pam(minus agam)...but suhani is the only kid whom follows Neir's genes

suhani's nature and appearance is like ragini...while her maturity...sensibilty...intelligence is like neil...she has the same stubborness of Neira...her anger and tantrums are just like ragini...while her level of understanding a situation..handling issues in a calm and cool manner is like neil...

by the way...the way she gives royal ignore to nive is just like ragini...regardless what is suhani's mystery..i would like to say like mother...like daughter...

I can't wait to see suhani v/s nivedita...

The kids are a bundle of mess. No one really has anything substantial to do in life.

I say nothing more and nothing less.

Cannot get Ranbir's logic of hurting his brother to hurt Ragini.
Like Agham the best.

Cannot believe Nishi's and Aarav have been brought up by Ragini. She seems so strict and yet the only thing the kids that live with her are interested in is having a love life. Somewhere, the beliefs, the values that she so dearly clings to have not translated into her having good relationships.

R never badmouthed N in front of her kids, and he was more of a paycheck to his kids.

So nobody hating him makes sense, but I don't get how he is the "cool" dad...For Ranbir, I get it as Pam has that hold on him so there is no way she would let that chance go for him. But obviously she does not have as strong of a hold on Suhani or Agam...

Kya karein, mothers are always taken advantage of.

He wants revenge from Ragini, so he's after Aarav. So, he works as the troubled child. But eliminate the sociopathic tendencies he so frequently displays. Woman, your mom was ready to sell the flat for your wedding. Does that look like someone not wanting to see you happy? I even hated her not thanking Ragini at her engagement.Although I can't stand Neeshi at times, I understood this. She feels like she has to thank her dad but her mom knows that she loves her. I don't even think she thought about it. I know because I've been in that position multiple times where I forget to thank my own but not others. Something as small as this makes a difference in how we perceive the character. May by the CVs should focus on making the good shine cause there's too much bad going on anyway.

This character annoys me because other than insulting Ragini, he has added absolutely nothing to the show. He needs to get a grip and grow up. Sometimes I forget that Suhaani and Agam are younger than him!

I will not have him disappear!

Hope she surprises everyone at the wedding.. That would be Amazing :) Her bonding with Ragini is one which will be amazing. I am certain. Can't wait.. especially if she is NOT Ragini's child.. Still I have a feeling her bond will be very tight with R.
