Ranbir:
It's really difficult for me to imagine Avinash Mukherjee as Ranbir. He is still little Jagya! Anyway, as a character he works because he is the one anomaly among the kids (in the sense that the other kids yearned for the MIA parent but he only hated on Ragini). It's sort of realistic because he was old enough to process that his mother abandoned him and Pam certainly fed him lies. So, I get the angst. BUT I do not understand the sociopathic behavior he displays. Leaving a girl to die on the street, anyone? I got the idea he was into medicine or something. Isn't saving lives a professional duty? Or forget about the medicine, isn't saving lives a basic duty of every individual? I get being scared. I get that he panicked. But in order to show his humanity, probably they could have included a scene in which he makes an anonymous call tipping someone off about Shilpa. Even when Aarav hurled accusations at him about the Shilpa thing, he opposed Aarav almost as if he wasn't the culprit. Not a hint of remorse. So, he works as the troubled child. But eliminate the sociopathic tendencies he so frequently displays. I mean, hitting on your brother's secret crush? That's another low, man.
Neeshi:
This one has me confused. The character flip flops between good and bad so frequently that I really can't decide whether to like her or not. At one point, she offers to cancel her wedding so Ragini doesn't have to sell the flat. And the very next, she blames her mother for not wanting to see her married. Woman, your mom was ready to sell the flat for your wedding. Does that look like someone not wanting to see you happy? I even hated her not thanking Ragini at her engagement. Something as small as this makes a difference in how we perceive the character. May by the CVs should focus on making the good shine cause there's too much bad going on anyway.
Aarav:
Mujhe bike chahiye. Mujhe party chahiye. Mujhe Shilpa chahiye. Dude, get a grip on your life. And focus on the Math that you confessed you are so weak at. It may help you in achieving the things you so badly crave. This character annoys me because other than insulting Ragini, he has added absolutely nothing to the show.
Agham:
My absolute favourite. May be because I find Rohan Shah kind of cute. :P In all seriousness, this kid is the glue holding the younger generation together. A normal brother, who wants to have a normal happy family. My only complaint is that he needs a story. Not now cause there are too many open tracks. But in the future he needs a story (and I hope it doesn't focus on his love life cause that's just mundane. Show him wanting to study and build a future!) I mean, Ranbir-Aarav have the Shilpa track, Neeshi has a whole wedding track and Suhani has a track which is going to explode in a BIG way, so, CVs use the actor well.
Suhani:
The mystery child. I love her because of the bond she shares with Agham and I want to see more of her. Currently, she is adding nothing to the show (except for studying at Brown University at the tender age of 16, which makes me amazed at her intelligence to fast forward through two years of school, at the same time, making me ROFL for the whole situation) Anyway, I am waiting for the time she gets back to India and the Khanna-Patel parivaars just lose it. Her bonding with Ragini is one which will be amazing. I am certain.
