Oh what a tangled web we weave...

...When first we practice to deceive... Sri Walter Scott's words couldn't have been truer in describing Ragini's current state.
Her lie about Aman is almost out in the open. Naani, Naani- please make sure that Rags confessesthat Aman is just a friend NOT husband! Neil will get his pain released from his heart and then his heart will fill up again with pain because he is now stuck with vishkanya.

I feel bad for Aman, because, had Neil been even a bit less-in-love-with-his-ex, Aman would have made a perfect pair for confused Rags. Sadly, those two exes are still eating out their hearts and eyes for each other. Maybe, just maybe sweet Dr. Devika at the hospital can put Band Aid on Aman's heart and get him to be hers!

Aah, but I am jumping ahead. Let us hope that the first tangle of Rags' lie about Aman is untangled now.

We are never so defenseless against suffering as when we love, never so helplessly unhappy as when we have lost our loved object or its love. ~ Sigmund Freud
And that entanglement had started then.

There will be prickly thorns along the way, but these two really need to get ther act together. And this fake marriage thing needs to be resolved. At the earliest.

They can then un-entangle the web slowly.

Lovely words, both of you!
I don't feel bad for Aman because he saw it coming and is playing along.. seriously.. what was he thinking! Today or tomorrow - the cat is going to be out of the bag and everyone will lose respect for him!

I am sure he agreed to support Ragini as a true friend. But he is supposed to be a sensible person, who does know very well that Ragini doesn't love him. It's not as if Ragini is faking being in love with him.

Dr Aman also knows how Jignesh' Dadi is uncomfortable with his presence at the Patel household. He wants to help the family, fine.. But at least for these occasions, he can stay away. It's a daughter's marriage they are dealing with.

He is a good person, but somehow I can't empathise or sympathise with him. I'd rather blame Nachiket and Ragini for the mess, but Dr Aman gets a complete zero from me.

poetic- you are being too harsh on Aman. Poor guy, he is in love with Ragini and has been so for years now. Sadly, only now, under these weird circumstances he is getting so close to her! And he just can't get enough of her. He is like a kid who has been denied a treat for too long and now he has got it after all those years of yearning. I can undertand his pov.
But Ragini- she is being so selfish- all of a sudden, she has become this needy, whiny, "everyone-is-misunderstanding-me-sob-sob" that is not her true nature- from the little we understood of her charachter, she was more like a pragmatist and willing to take the "lone path" even when the going gets tough. Now she is all weepy and whiny- is it menopause I wonder- that could explain it!LOL!LOL!LOL!

I really don't want to be harsh on Aman. He says he is a friend, he should behave like one, especially when he does realise that things are difficult for Ragini at the moment.

Ragini is using him as an emotional crutch - agree. But he is not a teeny bopper who wouldn't understand the implications, he owns a Hospital, he is a surgeon and a good friend. As a true friend, he should also realise that it's an emotional upheaval for Ragini. What if Ragini today agrees to marry him just because she feels let down by Nachiket, and once everybody leaves India and settles into their own lives, what happens if they find out that they married for all the wrong reasons.

He does't need to be hangingat all times at their house. Yes, I don't empathise with him right now. But I will try.
