I don't think Dr Aman is a filler, just because he is not being venomous unlike Nivedita. He is a genuine character who has stood by Ragini and family during their ups and downs. He loves Ragini - she even knows that, but he never creates any situation that would harm Ragini or belittle her. He is dignified and pretty cool with the kids too.

Nivedita is a different sample altogether.
