I never found her character down right evil even when it is regarding Ragini and her feelings. She is only eighteen! She is a teenager and like any other teenager she has the tendency to think about herself over others. That being said, she is also impulsive, immature and naive as well. She bad mouths Neil when she discovers that her mother was hurt by the man and that shows that she does care for her mother. She hasn't done anything intentionally to hurt her mother but has ended up hurting her anyway...this is something that a lot of kids do. We don't understand what others may feel at times and as a teen its completely natural. She craves for a father figure just like Suhani and Aagam crave for a mother figure. Also, lets not forget that to a certain extent Suhani and Aagam both had Pam to fill in the role of a mother yet they miss her. Whereas Nishi has no one to fill that role in. Ragini did a great job handling the role of her husband but just like a father can't do everything a mother can, a mother can't do everything a father can. Apart from that Nishi was old enough to remember her memories with her father...and she has always had a strong connection with him. So in the sense that she wants to meet her father or have a father figure, she is justified.
However, when we think about her stubbornness to get married, that is where I think her bad qualities are highlighted. Once again, this blindly falling in love is what many teenagers experience but this is the premise of the show. I feel that even though Nishi shouldn't be getting married now and should be focusing on her career, if this wedding goes through she will learn to grow up. She will face the problems of being married early and learn her lesson. If the wedding doesn't happen then she may help her siblings in reuniting her parents. It might also help her realize that her love for Jignesh may have been an obsession and nothing else.
