Arnav thundered " Shut up! Don't make me loose more of my temper." He should get out of here before things get out of control. To get rid of his frustration , he flung his box containing sunglasses and rushed out.
The box hit Kushi on her temple and Kushi yelled in pain... But no one hear him ... She sat on the floor defeated and alone with pain. ... with tears of frustration clinging to her lashes. She went to the mirror and checked the bruise and slowly went to her room. She will walk out of this house ... No one she promised herself... no on can kick her go out of this house.
She hated the guy...

CHAPTER 5
For her, it was a night of affliction...
For him, it was a night of regret and remorse
Her thoughts,
What an embarrassing situation and an ineffectual argument. She should have walked out of the scene... Instead to stand there and get into a verbal tussle. It took her nowhere with her previous landlord.
Unfortunately the incidents of the few days had taken its toll ...frustrated her ...this pushing from one accommodation to another... Choking the tears... she quietly entered her room.
She berated to herself , "How can anyone carry a rendezvous in the living room. He should have chosen his bedroom for his libido ... not right in the living room. ... After such an embarrassment ...She did not even receive an apology from the guy ... "
She has to get out of this place at the earliest... but rentals in NY was skyrocket ... Her anxiety crept in and felt dizzy. How dare he band her on the head. She looked at herself on the mirror. The bruise on the forehead was turning to a nasty purple. She felt lonely and lost. She dialled her Babuji... started talking... and then Kushi drifted to sleep...
His thoughts,
Arnav was irritated...both at himself and the girl ... On himself for bringing Ashley home. He had no such plans ... He had met Ashley at La Guadia and they decided to have dinner together. On reaching home... One thing lead to another and they ended upon making love on the couch.
The girl should not have walked into the situation when he was compromised with Ashley. That was unfortunate, but it was not premeditated... She was definitely a melodrama queen. ... very prudish...
She reacted as if he was a Casanova bedding a girl every night. That was far from reality ... Forget about having affair He has not found time to date anybody ... Probably that is the reason the entire incident with Ashley happened...
In the entire scenario...poor Ashley had to face the embarrassment. The girl, just over reacted and embarrassed all people concerned.
"Wait a minute... Wasn't the girl supposed to move on the first of next month. What was she doing in his home today. "
What a mangled communication between all the people involved .
His mistake ... When he was not convinced he should not have agreed to the arrangement ...This incident taught him to be more assertive in future.
He needs to keep his cool for the next month... till she moves into a new accommodation. Tomorrow he would personally look into her accommodation. He put an end to his thoughts...and went to sleep peacefully.
Next morning,
A rumbling pain in the stomach disturbed Arnav's sleep. He was ravenous for he had skipped his dinner last night. He climbed down and went to the refrigerator to eat something. The refrigerator was bare... What!!!
The girl had sermoned him about his commitment for her stay in the house, But what about her side of commitment to keep the refrigerator replenished . Hypocrite!
He was starving... He switched on the TV and watched the match between Juoan Sanders and Liam Atkins. Juoan was a strong contender for the US title. He was tired and drifted to sleep feeling hungry.
Kushi hardly slept thinking about the previous night's incident. Her stomach was growling with hunger. ... ... She just needed a cup of coffee.
Kushi came out of her room and half way to the kitchen... realized the TV was on. She almost turned back but hunger made her move forward. She brewed coffee... The smell of coffee woke up Arnav.
He sauntered towards the Kitchen
" You are the care taker right... isn't it your job to fill the refrigerator... its almost empty. You are very clear about other' s commitments to you but short sighted about yours. Here is the list of things that I want .." He was mad with hunger.
He threw the list on the kitchen bench along with two hundred dollars.
He yelled " Make sure you get everything that is on the list. Give me some coffee!"
He was so hungry ... He just wanted to chew something. He had not eaten for more than 24 hours. He walked over to living room and was worried about his coffee. Will he get his coffee? ... he was dying of hunger.
After the longest 5 minutes of his life ...he gave up the hope of coffee and was ready to grovel for a cup of coffee, when she placed a large cup of coffee on the table served with some biscuits.
He, "Thanks !"
She did not reply anything then when she reached the kitchen muttered, " Kushi"
"What !"
"That's my name"
"Okay! "Attitude...
Arnav sauntered towards the kitchen to wash his cup and was irritated to see her on the floor enjoying her cup of coffee
" Net time get some sugar free biscuits." he said to her
Kushi nodded without looking at him. She continued sipping her coffee... without acknowledging him...So this was her game plan... To ignore him . Perfect for him...
After the guy moved from the kitchen...Kushi took the list and left the money alone... she was not going to pick his money... which was thrown at her... he should have handed the money in her hand... But these wealthy ones always look down on those who do not have. She will pay by card and collect the money from Brad .
The arrogant pig ! He didn't not even apologize for the bruised temple.
She finished the shopping and arranged it in the refrigerator and left a note about the purchase .Of course! his sugarless biscuits. She made some pancakes and left them in the hot pack and went to get ready for the day.
Arnav finished his bath and came down to a silent home. He saw a note on the refrigerator
His face tightened...The note read " Arrogant pig! Break fast on table." What the! He was dumb struck!
She walked in with phone in hand... paused briefly after looking at him and went straight to the kitchen
"Akku, I am leaving for work ... Are you free this weekend."
His intentions to apologize got buried because of her senseless and boorish attitude. In fact her attitude was getting on his nerves.
He watched her leave...Fuming... he went to the table and checked what she had made for breakfast. It was pan cakes with maple syrup. No matter how irritated he was with her ... he was not stupid to miss this delicious break fast.
Kushi shut the door behind her... What a day... It was her first morning in his home...It felt like a long time since she moved into this house.
