Hello Hi Bye Bye, welcome folks
I, Pari, am back with another post in IPK forum. It is basically my 2nd home where I keep making posts about things which cross my mind suddenly.
So this post is a result of my stalking skills 😆 I always look around at comments in stories I read and in all these years I found similarities in those comments. So here I am penning down my thoughts in this light hearted thread. Please, don't take any offence.
Types of Readers on India-Forums! Though I only read IPK fictions but I believe most readers have the same patterns, so I'll go on with I-F and not just IPK Forum.
So let's gets started, shall we?
1. The Sloth
So let's start with this particular reader. This is that one reader who is extremely lazy. These readers are always commenting with just one word: it may be nice, awesome, amazing, superb etc.
They mean what they say and they don't like to talk around too much. They save their own and the writers' time by giving an acceptable short review of the story they've read. Basically, they are representing today's generation 😆
2. The Slouch
So the next kind of reader is called the slouch. This is the one reader who is not as lazy as the sloth but still lazy enough. These people will comment with two words instead of one unlike the sloth, the slouch will mostly be commenting: nice OS, nice update, awesome update, really good etc.
I think they make most of the readers on I-F as per what I've noticed. Lemme know if you disagree and think some other type of reader is represented more in this forum.😆
3. The Analyst
Next in my list is this particular reader who is completely the opposite of the sloth and slouch. These types of readers take all of their sweet time to give a detailed review of the update or Shot they just read. They'll try to cover all the points, twists, turns etc in the story and will add a lot of masala and outside information which doesn't necessarily have to be there but they add it because it was just into their head and they thought, why not. These readers are most likely to start a discussion hence hope that the writer replies and once the TM replies, they will have the last say because they will never end a discussion. they will reply to anyone who reacts to their comment and they will make sure the discussion is taken ahead 🤣
4. The Spoiler-Corner
Yes, these types of reader are called so because of the content they have in their comments. Basically their comment is just a little summary of the update. Anyone who has no time to read the long update shall look into the comments and will spot at least one spoiler corner there 😉
5. The I'm-Patient
Don't go onto their name because this patient is NEVER patient! This reader is very impatient! These types of readers will keep spamming the thread and asking for updates to remind the TM that it is time to post the next chapter. And sometimes it happens that the writer has not even logged in since years, but no, they give you spirit goals! They won't give up and will keep asking for update even if the writer hasn't posted anything since years in the meanwhile. Nothing stops them and their spirit! Hats off to them⭐️
6. The Stalker
So yes, finally, we're to these types of readers too. There are readers who will stalk the thread 24/7 and keep an eye on it most of the time and along with the writer, they will also like all the comments posted and will even reply to some before the TM does, because, well, that thread is somewhat their second home where they are to be found. This reader is like a second TM. You could really say hello, you, yeah you, stalking this thread and I guess you could get a reply back by them within 5 minutes 🤣
7. The Actor
Now why is this group called the actor? You must be wondering right? Lemme explain then. These types of readers will express themselves with some emojis and smileys. They are just the cuter but more dramatic version of a sloth. They may be lazy, may be not but they like to show what they felt after reading your update. If the update was a sad one, you'll most likely get many crying smileys 😭
If it was a funny update, they'll be ROFLing hard 🤣
And so on...🤡
8. The Oracle
So these types of readers are called Oracles but they don't predict things instead they ask one main question in the thread after the update and disappear. There will be no other nonsense there. They have one query in their mind and they will shoot it outa. What will happen next, what will happen now, what will he/she do now? These are just examples. So they basically ponder along and are stressed about the situation but expressing a the same time that they are hooked and want to know how the situation will be handled. Kudos to you all! Only if the writers would ever give an honest reply to them about what will happen next 😆
9. The Permanent Marker
So coming to these, we all know them. We are them. These readers will Reserve a spot for their comment beforehand, most likely the first, second or 3rd spot. They are very competitive and understand no nonsense. Dare you take their first, second or third place in the comments. They will not be happy about it. Their place is sacred and they don't know what it means to be on 4th, 5th,...upteenth position. Don't you dare mess with them! Leave their first spot alone!😉
10. The Friend!
Last but not least, all writers have their friends here who are crazy! They will write anything in the comment but not something about the update. Their comment is made 90% from insider jokes etc and just 10% is written about the update in general. They may even post some memes, gifs etc and are always very hyper and overenegetic into showing their excitement for your new stories, updates and threads. Outsiders can spot them very easily by the angry emoticons they use in their comments for the writers. Basically, they are your favorite readers, simply because they are your silly friends ❤️

So these were the types of readers I've seen on India Forums in all these years and I hope none of you guys takes an offence and feels personally attacked or something. Of course things are exaggerated because where would be the fun else? 🤣 It is a light hearted post for entertainment.
