Part 9

Khushi was feeling excited to go out with Arnav in the evening.She was thinking:"What would I say to him?How will I express my feelings?Anyway I can't control myself anymore.I want to be his fully.Today is the day.He is patiently waiting for me."

Arnav was so immersed in work but was feeling excited to know what Khushi wanted to convey.

He reached home by around 5.00 pm.There was no sign of Khushi in the living room..Anjali and Asha hurried near Arnav and said:Arnav ,Khushi is running high fever.I think she caught it from you.Arnav was very upset now and hurried to his room.Khushi was lying on his bed and nani was feeding her.Arnav sat near her.After some time nani left and Khushi and Arnav were alone.

Khushi:Arnav ji ,I wanted to be with you.I wanted to go out.But now I'm not feeling well.

He put his hands on her lips and said:Take rest.Don't think this and that.I'll be with you.We can do the outing once you are well.

Soon she fell asleep and woke up only in the early morning.She saw Arnav lying beside her and felt very happy.She put her hands around him and continued sleeping.

Arnav was sitting on the bed looking at his beautiful wife.He had already taken a bath and had a coffee .Still she was sleeping.

Aakash knocked on the door.He came and checked and found that the temperature was normal.Khushi woke up and saw Arnav sitting beside her.He helped her to get up .Anjali and Asha came with breakfast.Later nani also joined.

One week passed by.Khushi was now perfectly well and she was now feeling very comfortable with Arnav and wanted to spend time alone with him.She decided to give him a surprise.

She went to his office with his lunch.It was the first time she visited his office.She knocked on the door .

Arnav answered:Come in

He was going through some file when she entered.

It was when she went very near to him that he looked up.He was too surprised and stared at her.

Arnav:Khushi,..why?How did you come?

Khushi:Do I need permission to come to my husband's office?I came in Di's car.

It was only when she said this she realised its effect.

Arnav was looking at her with an amused smile.

She went very near to him and he was observing her keenly.She put her hands around his neck and kissed his cheeks.He was taken aback.

Arnav:Khushi,this is office.Anyone may come in.

Khushi went and locked the door.Arnav stood up and was eyeing her with suspicion.

When she came nearby Arnav whispered.What are you up to?

Khushi:I wanted to see you,to be with you.So I came here.

She pressed herself to him with her hands around his neck.He looked down at her and whispered:Don't play pranks with me.

She ran her fingers through his hair and drew his face towards her.He looked into her eyes.

She said:I love you,Arnav ji,I love you more than anything else in this world,I want you.Please make me yours.

Arnav couldn't believe his ears.He was staring into her eyes.

He asked:Are you sure?

Khushi:I loved you from the moment you kissed me.I want to be yours.

The answer was a bone breaking hug and showering of kisses.

Arnav whispered in between the kisses:I need you.

A constant knock on the door made them withdrew.

An irritated Arnav opened the door ,while Khushi was seated on the sofa.

It was Aman. He said:Sorry Arnav and Khushi but Mr.Sharma is waiting impatiently in the conference hall.

Arnav:I'm coming.

Aman left .Arnav came near Khushi and whispered in her ear:Go home,I'll come early and today is our suhaagrat.I want to see you in the new green saree.I can't wait.

He moved to the door,hesitated, back and hugged her and said:I love you,I adore you.He kissed her fully on the lips and went.

Her whole body was thriving for his touch.She was thrilled and on her way back home was dreaming about their suuhaagraat.She felt very excited and shy.

Khushi went to her room and kept the fresh flowers she bought inside the cupboard.She wanted to decorate the bed .when she changed into the beautiful green saree and went downstairs,Asha teased her.

Asha:Wow,Bhabhi,anything special?

Khushi:No,nothing,Sometimes Arnav ji will take me out.

Anjali felt happy for them.

Khushi saw Hariprakash getting the guest room ready.She asked Anjali.

Khushi:Who's the guest coming/

Anjali:It's Ananya's cousin brother and the friend of Aakash.He just called Aakash and asked him to pick him up from airport.

It was almost 7.00 pm.The door bell rang.Aakash came in followed by a tall good looking guy.Khushi stared at him.The whole room was spinning around her.Every one was busy in greeting him.

At last Anjali said:Siddharth,meet Arnav's wife,Khushi.You met her already 2 years back know?

The name siddharth struck her.He turned towards her.He stared as though he saw a ghost.

Both of them were staring at each other.

Anjali:What's wrong with both of you ?

Khushi's mouth went dry.

Siddharth:Hello,...Bhabhi.

Khushi felt as though she got a blow.

Khushi:hello...

She slowly went to her room, and sat on the bed trembling with fear .She forgot the suhhagraat,went to the adjoining room,closed the door and changed into a kurthi and remained in the room.

Her thoughts went two years back.It was Diwali holidays.Ananya and her sisters and Khushi were enjoying the break.One day Siddharth came to Ananya's house for holidays and after two days Dhruv and Aakash came to Ananya's house to meet Siddharth.She felt that those were the dark days in her life.The moment he set eyes on Khushi ,he was after her.He always gave sly looks to her.She felt very uncomfortable in his company.He started disturbing her on her way to college.One day she told the matter to her friend Thamanna and her brother Tharun.Next day onwards they began to go to college together.Siddarth behaved very nicely in front of others.But whenever he got an opportunity he disturbed her by trying to touch her and sending vulgar glances.She was very afraid of him . One day,It was getting dark and Khushi was returning after their picnic from college.She reached her house and found Garima and Manorama talking to siddharth .He was behaving like a refined person .She wanted to kick him out of the house.Manorama was so obsessed by him.He began to visit them frequently and atlast told Garima that he wanted to marry Khushi.

Khushi was too shocked and at once denied the offer.Manorama very much liked him.But Khushi told Garima the truth.Garima told the matter to Rajeswari and thus the idea was dropped .This made him very angry. She was happy when she heard that he was going back home.She shivered when she recalled the curseful moment.Khushi was going to see Baba, the owner of the mansion.It was early morning and she never expected him on her way.Someone covered her mouth from behind and dragged her to the nearby woods.She struggled and bit the person.She managed to get free and was horrified to see the person.She gathered all her strength and ran.He easily caught her.She screamed at the top of her voice.She kicked him and ran and on the way to her luck and relief met Baba who was on a morning walk.She stopped near him.He felt something wrong and she pointed at siddharth.

Baba:What happened beti?

Khushi:He..he..was trying to ,,,

Baba:Enough..

He had a walking stick with him.

He gave that to Khushi and said:Beti,beat him.he should not repeat this.Baba caught hold of him.

Khushi hesitated but she wanted to kill him.

She beat him with the stick twice and then Baba released him.His son Harsh joined them.Baba explained everything to him.

Harsh:Go away from here and don't come back again.

Siddharth:If I'm siddharth I'll teach you a lesson.

Arnav's voice made her come back to the present.
