Simi,
Just finished all eight chapters on a marathon read...it has been a long time really since any story shocked me to the depths..like his one absolutely did! To quote ASR's favourite words - unbelievable! I am in tears at the end of that angst-ridden epic narrative...just what have you done here, girl?! We will never be able to look at those two characters as naive and innocent now, will we? Flawed yes, but my goodness me, so flawed. I am in awe of this story.if it were made into a movie it would be an out and out box office winner, I promise you! So many things whip through the consciousness now...why is this creep Ryan with her at all? I mean what's in it for him? He cannot just be an obsessive and sadistic individual who is delighted to thrash and brutalize her for no reason...what is his trip? And what will poor Arnav do now? Oh, please don't give him a ray of light and hope and snatch it away - I simply cannot bear this. And this poor Khushi...why oh why is she getting beaten and abused and ding nothing about it? Surely there is the law, there is someone she can go to for help. Barring the imaginary Sahej...so numbed right now that I dare say I shall dream about this story now. It is incredible in size and scale and intensity. Sort of Titanic meets IPKKND with a psychotic thriller like Silence of The Lambs thrown in...Phew! Take a bow girl, seriously, and put us out of our misery as we hang on the edge of our chairs waiting for you to update...this is un...bloody...believable! 👏
Best,
Anu!
First of all a BIG hug to you 🤗
GIRL, your comment just made me apple-pie happy!
I am really really happy that you liked the story so far and only hope you like it further as well, as now only four more chapters remain.😳
Coming to your questions, like I have mentioned in many other comments, each question of yours will have an answer in the update itself, maybe in a little vivid way than what I could possibly frame in my reply here.
About your query that what Ryan sees in khushi that he torments her so much? You will get that answer pretty soon!
But why Khushi takes it?
I think even if not distinctly , it is sort of covered in the continuation of the updates. She is a damaged soul.
She blames herself for her little sister's death, and that's precisely the reason that she took her father's command of staying put in the house as she grew up without any fuss.
She was initially stuck with the impression that Ryan was a gentleman, a perfect prince charming like she had read in those books from her childhood. And it wasn't wrong on her part to think so since Ryan did have the persona like that, but that was only in front of the world (chapter 1 explains this).
So later when she did realise that Ryan is not what he portrays himself to be, she once again took it as fate admonishing her for her past mistake.
She also knows that Ryan won't hurt her if she abides by the two golden rules.
1. Don't trigger his possessiveness
2. Don't rebel
If you see through the story, Ryan only hurts her when she breaks any of the above two, but what Khushi doesn't realise is that this is not how she can survive.
For her step mother who doesn't give two hoots about her, the alliance is only for her benefit as Roy's hotel industry is currently the saving grace of the legacy of Khushi's dead father's empire, which went downhill after his death.
Khushi is a true rebel at heart, but years and years of suppression made it dormant and laid back in her. However, she did what a weak mind would do at that. She made her rebellious entity become this whole new person called Sehaj.
Anyhoo, I hope I didn't bore u with all that 😆
Will be updating the next part today.😊
And oh, thanks for appreciating my writing style.
I always think maybe people hate me for delving so much into literature-like write ups with my words and phrases. 😆
