It was a conversation between Garima and buaji during the remarriage episodes. That's when buaji mentions that Payal is shashi's first wife daughter.

Sorry .. I don't remember the exact episode number but i think it was when Garima tries to hide from Arnav's dadi and after she stays back at home not attending the function.
Buaji then comes and talks to her in the room.

The person who pulls her Dori and humiliated her on TV becomes the love of her life and Shyam who rescues her and her dupatta from the hooligans and gives it back to her(usually job of the hero) turns out to be vicious villain

That is what I love this story & envy people who watched it from the beginning. When I started watching, I already knew that Shyam is a bad guy..

The simple boy next door who rescued Khushi turns out to be villain & it is so gradual.. yesterday episode in the temple when he gives her his card is so genuine.

It is very interesting to re-watch as a whole episode, typically on-line I would forward to more interesting happenings, but as they say, devil is in details 😆

I came across IPK during PayAsh wedding track, so I decided to go back and watch from the beginning. 😊 I also thought that it was mentioned earlier in the show that Payal was Sashi and his first wife's daughter but after reading all the comments here I started second guessing myself lol.
