After the show ended most of the members are coming to IPK forum mostly to read the fictions, is there possibility of having inquires thread (sticked) exclucisivley for fictions?

PS: Yes there is help desk, I have seen several members inquires regarding FF/SS/OS werent answered.

Thank you DTs for answering to our repeated queries. I am aware that the DTs have reopened GOTW on one member's request. But when its not serving its purpose i.e. entertaining the forum members, can't we start different games at a time with DTs permission instead of one official GOTW? Is it possible to do that by asking what the majority of the forum members want by making a poll?

Its being so restricted rules in ipk forum..hope they change these rules

Twitter updates are generally not allowed neither are updates from any other social networking site. Here's the reason why: External Content from Social Networking Sites

And like Shreya said, the DT has taken a step forward and opened and stickied a thread for all the twitter updates, so it's easy for us to keep a track of all the external content.

I realize you have rules in place for a reason. The inquiries were to address the reasons, not to reiterate the rules once again. Members want to know the WHY behind the rules. (Technical, limited resources to manage, issues in the past . . .)

Also, I had requested when we you took up the invitation for CC session that you allow inquiries to come through as a discussion, and not as a means of finalizing all and every question raised.

Everyone here is keeping things civil, let's all make sure to continue to do so.

The reason is simple; you weren't here when the fights and arguments had increased because of spamming, moral policing, ganging up on other members. You weren't around at the time but because of that, we have had the Admin step in and post rules again and again, therefore we're now rigid when it comes to the rules.

Yes, we're listening and changing stuff around, but everyone needs to remain calm and not gang up on Shreya and I either. These rules have been here since the beginning of the forum, but members just chose to ignore them: Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Rules and Warnings [ALL HERE]

This is a technical issue, but the problem isn't what you stated. It basically makes all the long words invalid. For example, if you typed "Haha" about say 9-10 times, it would call it invalid. In that case, you will have to hyphenate everything. So, you write "Hahaha-Haha" and it works perfectly fine. Try it out! 😃

See, this we can't do much about. We can't say anything about the no spamming in the OS/FF/SS threads because that's a rule set by the FF DT and is followed everywhere. Personally, I agree with the FF DT because it makes no sense to spam unnecessarily in a thread that is to post updates. I am sure many of you visit the website www.fanfiction.net and over there, the comments section is separate, and the stories updates are what everyone sees so the story doesn't get lost in between the comments. And it makes sense.

If you still aren't convinced, I will have to divert this to the FF DT because about the spamming issue, we can't do much at all.

I am not disrespecting the rules and I don't have anything against the DTs. But please don't restrict the activities of this forum. Not everyone visits the forum games. Playing games here and playing games on that forum is not the same. We can't play games here, we can't post twitter updates on new threads when they are available. These rules are very frustrating. There is hardly anything to do in the IPK forum. I understand that the DTs are trying to organize the forum. But because of this the members are losing interest in this forum.

The purpose of this thread I suppose is to facilitate the members and the DTs to have an amiable discussion so that the DTs know what frustrates the members. I hope the DTs will understand our problems and try to find a suitable solution. I request the DTs not to post the rules which are already there. The rigid rules are restricting forum activities. Rules can be changed if need be. We are just trying to tell you what we want from this forum so that the rules can be modified accordingly to facilitate the members. With time every rule changes. This should be applicable to the rules of this forum as well.

About the GOTWs, same thing. We can't allow say 9-10 different games that are about the same thing. And in those threads, everyone is just basically spamming. And it doesn't even keep the forum united, instead everyone is in their little groups; all BS fans in one thread, all SI fans in one thread, all NK fans in one thread and so on and so forth. So, exactly how does it make a difference?

We don't mind any other sort of a game suggestion, but the ones that were being played in the forum can simply not be re-opened because they all turn into a pissing contest. You can suggest a list of say 6-7 other games that you'd like to play apart from the "Whoever is the last to post loves BS/SI/NK/Aakaash the most" games and the DT is ready to think about this rule. Fair enough?
