All the best blasters

Hey Samin, happy new year. I wish you are having a great time with your daughter. This time of the year is certainly for family.
You are so right, Arshi is so close to our heart.
Glad to know that it's on rank-4th in Life OK. I follow IPK in TV asia, because of the better picture quality. Watching them in HD is something different.

Episode 185

Anjali and Arnav share a moment. Arnav apologizes to Anjali for all those times he'd unknowingly hurt her by being rude and has a fear that she might leave him like their mother. Anjali assures Arnav that she will never leave him, she will always be here and they share a hug.

credit to the maker

Anjali tells Arnav that when the car, she felt like she will never see her brother, her husband, her family again, he means more than her own life to her. She warns him that no one knows about the future so one should speak their heart out at that moment or else they might never get the chance to before it is too late. A person should live life to the fullest because no one knows which moment would be last. Before leaving Arnav remembers how Anjali said to that he should never let a person you love go and remembers the night when he thought Khushi has had an accident and how he almost lost her.

Khushi remembers all the sweet moments with Arnav. She smiles and heads to the roof. Arnav sees her and He remembers Anjali's word about how when the right girl enters, your heart will skip a beat, and she is gone his saans will stop, she will be the world to him. Arnav is about to go when someone starts talking to him.

Khushi is on the roof and is admiring how beautifully decorated it is (She must be thinking that Arnav out did himself). RABBA VEY. She remembers the time when she'd gotten tangled in the fairy lights and Arnav had helped her out. Meanwhile, Arnav also remembers how he'd helped her out of the ring of diyas on the Diwali. Arnav and Khushi recall the almost kiss. They are smiling like a fool and Arnav is head up. (Sweet moments but I am like hurry up Arnav, before the creep gets here).

credit to the makers

Someone puts a hand on Khushi's shoulder, she shyly turns around but her smile disappears when she sees that the man is not Arnav but Shyam.

On his way up, Arnav sees Anjali telling some people about her injuries (She must have hit that door a little too hard). He asks her about her bandage and insists on doing her dressing. Anjali asks Arnav where he was going and he tells himself that he will tell Khushi why he cares. Anjali complains that she is only waiting for a toffee now, he treats her like a total kid. Arnav says because she behaves like one and does not take care of herself (She needs to learn). Anjali says she doesn't need to because he does it all for her (She had to come up, she is delaying Arnav, and now a misunderstanding is going to happen).

Khushi is shocked to learn that the message was written by Shyam not Arnav. She tries to leave but he doesn't let her go. They have an argument and Shyam tells her to listen or he will be angry and manhandles her (Maybe she does not like because of the manhandling thing, Yeah Arnav did it but he is like that and never hid it and felt bad. Shyam feels no remorse). He creeps her out and softens a little when he realizes this. He confesses that he loves her a lot ever since the first time he saw her, he did everything for her. Everything was going fine till RS came in between else they would've been happily married by now (Does he not hear himself talk, everything he said is just wrong).

Arnav asks her if she is fine. She says she is not, she wants a toffee. She laughs and says she is fine and asks him to go.

Khushi thanks god that she got to know everything about his deeds in time, he betrayed everyone. Shyam shows no shame and said he did everything out of love (more like lust) and Khushi feels disgusted. Khushi reminds him that he is married and Shyam reminds her that he loves her and RS means nothing to him.

Arnav is happily going towards the terrace with a huge smile. Anjali is just looking on in disbelief. (Look how cute he looks going up the stairs. Like a kid excited for getting a gif. His lost innocence is shown with Anjali and Khushi)

Shyam asks if she would behaved as she is now had he not been married (probably when she finds out that she is creep). He begs her to believe him because even with Anjali, he thinks only of her (Seriously does he not hear himself). Khushi tells him that she feels disgusted hearing him and he should thing about Anjali's love, he said that he does not care about Anjali's love at all. Shyam says he doesn't care about her and hugs Khushi. Khushi asks him to let her go but he refuses saying he loves her a lot. Arnav reaches the roof and opens the door. His smile soon fades and now he is in disbelief. Shyam is hugging Khushi. Shyam says he only loves her, she doesn't consider Anjali as his wife and neither does he value this marriage, he loves only her. Arnav is shocked (How can he not see Khushi struggling in the hug, the eye can be deceiving). Khushi pushes Shyam away and asks why he doesn't leave Anjali if this marriage means nothing to him. Arnav just looks on. He is shatter, it looks like he saw a ghost and someone punched the life out of him. He turns away leaving Khushi and Shyam in the background.

Are you watching Rang Rasiya?
Sorry that I'm discussing other show here. You know what, can't complete any discussion or thought without sharing you guys. I just don't feel to visit other forum. IPK forum and blast thread is my home actually.
Anyway, I didn't like the first episode, but I'm liking the show now. It's really made on a very large scale, just like a movie. Sanaya is looking beautiful and acting well also. The lead in not bad. Though still I'm missing Barun with her.

Episode 186

Khushi and Shyam are hugging and Arnav is dumbfounded by this scene.

credit to the maker

He is more devastated when he hears Khushi telling Shyam to leave Anjali and break his marriage. Arnav leaves and he is broken. Arnav walks into his room and he is in turmoil. Arnav is thinking in anger and his brain stops to work. He recalls all the moments Khushi met Shyam but took it the wrong way (I am so frustrated). Arnav decides to tell his sister everything (I am all for him telling Anjlai everything but I wish he waited a little bit longer to hear Khushi's full statement).

credit to the maker

Shyam asks Khushi to repeat what she said because he things Khushi meant what she said. Khushi tells him that she would never be with him even if he was single and will never be his. Khushi storms off. Leaving Shyam behind.

Shyam is walking around the RM, wondering what his next step is (Did he change outfits??). He gets a call from Anjali, and he is like time for the news I have been waiting for. He picks up the call and he is shocked to hear Anjali's voice (Darn all his all hard work has gone to waste). Shyam goes and sees Anjali and notices that she only got some scratches. He becomes his sweet self and hugs her and is "happy" that she is safe. Anjali tells him that she love she lost im forever. Nani calls Anjali and she leaves. Shyam is left behind wondering how in the world did his plan failed again (All those poojas did come in handy).

Arnav changed in to his suit and is now looking for Anjali to tell her the truth. Khushi on the other hand is looking for Arnav trying to tell the truth about Shyam (I wish Khushi got to him first, but if that happened would Arnav believe Khushi). Arnav sees Shyam. Shyam said Saale Saab and Arnav clenches his fist. Arnav goes into ASR mode and asks Shyam to come with him (I would be scared if I were him).

Anjali gets a call from the clinic and she seems embarrassed (looks like she has some good news to give). Nani is worried about the call and Anjali said it is just a normal checkup.

Arnav brings Shyam to the room. Arnav tells him that he knows everything about him and Khushi. Arnav is thinking they are having an affair. Shyam realizes that Arnav does not know the whole truth. Shyam starts playing along and tells him that he can tell Anjali because he knows that she will not believe anyone who speaks ill against her husband. Shyam now changed Saale Saab to Arnav because he does not consider Anjali his wife. Shyam announces that he loves Khushi only and only RS is preventing them to be together. Arnav grabs his collars and tells Shyam that Shyam and Khushi will have to pay for what they have done to his deed.

wish arnav did this

Hi Indi and Horizon. How are you. Sorry to barge in. Now speaking of Rajesh Khanna and Aap ki Kasam- I have listened to the music and seen the first part of the movie many times but the last part after he starts doubting his wife was too painful to watch more then once. It showed that Mumtaj was trying to convince him that she was innocent and he did not believe and when he returns after learning the truth she had remarried with their daughter. It showed how he could not decide whether to trust his eyes or his wife and because he trusted what he saw he made a wrong judgement. That is why there is a saying- " Do not believe in everything you see".
Now since the issue was diwali- I think at that time Arnav and Khushi- both were miserable. Arnav declared his engagement to stop people criticizing his family- and he was looking at Khushi all the time as if saying- I have to do this. We all saw he did not smile once. Then again when he was dropping her off he saw Khushi not engaging into the conversation when it came to her Payals and Kiss and said- it was insignificant. He reciprocated her act of bravado saying- Koyi Faraq nehi padta- when he came back as if showing- how roles are easily reversed. And to prove Arnav right- Khushi also agreed to marry Shyam.
Now I felt it was not Arnav who actually broke with La but La who left that relationship.
In the terrace episode- it showed again the same Arnav- was believing what he saw, his heart was broken once again. In diwali it was by himself because of di and in terrace again it was Shyam- di's husband. In the terrace episode if the person hugging Khushi was someone other then Shyam- Arnav would have confronted them. In diwali I felt if the insult was on anyone other then Di he would also not have announced his engagement.
I miss both ARSHI. I hope they come back soon in IPKKND- now not the joke of IPKKND as the one now continuing,

hi samin,

good to see you and read your thoughts after so long. i saw aap ki kasam as akid... painful story... and like him asr believed in his eyes over his heart... and the mess.

just a couple of things i saw differently.

i feel asr got engaged to la in the madness of the moment, trying to run away from his feelings, which he was not clear about other than that overwhelming desire, and also from her questions, because they insisted he look at it for what it was. khushi managed not just to break the barriers of his heart, but also mess with his mind... key issue: he lost control.

this is abhorrent to him... so he walked away and went straight to the one who never made him lose control. la.

and the break up... the moment he realised what he'd done after saying, main aisa hi hoon, khushi, and la had laid her hand on his shoulder making him aware... he knew he was wrong...yeh main kya kar raha hoon... and then he went straight to la's room to break up, because he realised the folly of carrying on. la knew what he'd come for, she tried to push it away, but then she let it happen, knowing there was no other way.

i felt both moments were very complex.

and the break up was handled with empathy... the complexity and depth came through. one of the best scenes ever in indian serials for me.

we keep thinking and saying why our serials are not more like western ones, i feel they aren't because we are different, we communicate differently, we negotiate life differently. theirs feels real, because they are true to who they are.

ours doesn't at times, because we deny certain things in an effort to appeal to the large and varied mass of audience.

even a highly westernised indian has certain feelings thanks to centuries of culture and whatever which is different, there are typically subcontinent oriented feelings and emotions and implications there... our expressions are different our expectations too... i felt the break up had something real in it... it understood us for what we are, a blend of western thought maybe even some values and deep indian/subcontinental sensibilities...

a sense of movement in it... in fact the whole la and asr thing had that element of contemporary longings in india... the rise of individualism and other things. at one time i'd have said, what nonsense, in a traditional home, never would a girl friend have been allowed to come and stay... but actually, that is not true any more, for several families. i saw how my dad's side, entrenched in tradition, adapted to so many new things... it is fascinating to watch.

Episode 187

Arnav threaten Shyam and said he has to pay. Shyam adds more fuel to the fire and said his love for Khushi runs deep in his veins and the only thing that is stopping them from being together is Rani Sahiba. He aslso said that he cannot hide his feeling for Khushi anymore and that he never loved Anjali. Khushi is looking for Arnav. Shyam tells Arnav to think twice before telling Anjali anything and Arnav gets furious and is about to punch him when the door opens they stop. It turns out to be HP and tells them that they are being called downstairs. Shyam leaves and Arnav is left behind. Khushi is show to open a door but it is to an empty room. Her search for Arnav continues (I wish Khushi opened the other door, it would have saved time and maybe some things would have been sorted out or made worse. We will never know.

NK knocks the window to Payal's room, who is busy getting ready. Payal thought it was Khushi, but NK tells her it is him (She could have seen his reflection in the mirror). He gives a gift to Payal. It is a picture frame which has a picture of her and Akash on one side and Happy Valentine's Day on the other side. Payal asked what is this day and NK tells her it is a day of love. NK gets a call from Aakash asking if he gave Payal the gift. NK said yes but he forgot to call him. He asks to speak to Payal and tells NK to go and get green tea for her because she must be tired too (Nice way to get rid of the third wheel). NK leaves and PayAsh have a moment. Akash tells Payal that today is special not because it's Valentine's Day but their wedding day and that he loves her and always will (This might be the last Payash scene ever, enjoy it). Payal says she also loves him a lot and has never said this earlier but today is the right time (I hope so, since the wedding is today. Akash is ecstatic and Payal hangs up the phone, she has a goofy smile on her face.

Garima and Bua ji decide to get ready because the wedding will start soon. Khushi sees NK and asks him if he saw Arnav. NK said he has not seen Arnav at the moment because he is looking at her (He is Khushi's Fan Boy). Nani goes and gives NK some work to do and Mama comes with some guest and introduces them to Nani. Bua ji scolds Khushi for not being ready yet and asks her to get ready fast as well as take Shashi to the mandap. Khushi sees Arnav as she is taking Shashi to the mandap. Arnav is also looking for Anjali and sees Khushi. He doesn't seem happy. Khushi remembers all the times they spent together and smiles at him and Arnav looks angry because he remembers her hugging Shyam and asking him to break his marriage. Arnav comes to Khushi and she says she was looking for him since she wanted to talk but just then he hears Anjali telling HP that she is going to the poolside. Khushi starts telling him but he follows Anjali without listening to her (I wish he stopped and listened, but what is a serial without some drama). Bua ji comes and again scolds Khushi for not getting ready and drags her upstairs, while Khushi is looking for Arnav.

Arnav comes to Anjali's room and insists on talking to her and it cannot wait. Arnav finally tells her that Shyam and Khushi are having an affair, but could not finish his sentence because he finds Anjali on the ground unconscious. He carries her to the bed and tries to make her gain consciousness. He apologizes to her for telling her the truth. He sprinkles water on her face and Anjali wakes up. He realizes that Anjali did not hear anything. Anjali tells him that he does not feel well and tells Arnav not to call the doctor because everyone will get worried. She tells him to finish what he was going to say (I wish Arnav told her, The truth is always painful to hear but it is better tan her being in the dream world).

Shyam is scared that Arnav might actually tell Anjali the truth, he was just bluffing (Rule 1 never mess with Arnav). Arnav decides that he has to reveal the truth. Mama notices Shyam is worried and he lies that he is worried because Anjali is not around. Mama tells him not to worry since she is with Arnav which makes him more worried.

Arnav is about to tell Anjali the truth again when HP gives her a report from Mehta Clinic (HP has some timing). Arnav gets worried and asks her about the report. Anjali says it is just a normal checkup but gets shocked seeing the report. Arnav gets scared seeing her reaction. Is Anjali Okay????? Will Arnav reveal the truth???

episode 210

jab tum mere pas hoti ho... hamari dhakane ek ho jaati hai.

i want you i just want you... don't you know that faraq padta hai.

and then the most beautiful scene ever... two lovers young and carefree canoodling... on their little poolside. their whole world here. nothing is missing. it's a perfect moment...

she tries to move her hand away from where he holds it pressed against his heart, he pulls her back. oh that tug and keeping of her hand against his dhadkane. (even when he is not facing camera, just look at his absorption in her, and the love story written in that hand holding hers firm right on his heart... look at how he holds her hand... must i believe these two people are not real?)

shake of head, heart in eyes, no, don't go. a curiously contemporary and slightly western take on a very old song i felt... abhi na jao chhorke..

she smiles in wonder, joy, this is her world... this crazy man who does ridiculous things.

for a moment, she is the khushi i knew... unafraid, adventurous, ready to find out, sunshine girl who believes in only the goodness of life... she vanquishes evil with that.

she gives in to all her feelings when she sees his little boy, not complicated love and rests her head on his shoulder.

when she thinks a bit then, overwhelmed by emotion, lets her hand move over theirs treasuring their togetherness, a heart melting half smile on his face as though registering the meaning of her gesture, then he slips his hand up her shoulder...

an unbearably beautiful interlude of hands, her hand slipping over their locked ones, her bangles move as though saying something (i loved that little shot, unplanned i know, that's why so beautiful maybe) his little sukoon in heart, his hand coming up to rest on her shoulder, gather her closer so that he might lay his cheek on the top of her head and oh the smile of asr.

never ever... not even when he was 14 and smiling has he felt the feelings of this smile.

it's a warming and settling of the heart moment.

for her.

for him.

and in the middle of all the tenderness, somehow a streak of heat radiates, an ever present desire, temperature rising.

this is strictly an actor driven shading. no one can tell you to create this... you feel things a certain way and express that.

i adore the underlying of desire.

they snuggle, they gently move against each other, heads lift, eyes ask question, eyes answer.

di calls. what timing... really, aap bhi na.

she pulls away a bit, she can't deny her sister in law's call... but he holds her back again. no. don't go. stay with me. not letting you go.

oh sublime possessiveness laced with knee shaking love.

today nothing matters, kissi cheez ka koi matlab nahin... agar matlab hai toh sirf iss baat ka... ki main hamesha hamesha tumse... how headily we are coming to that moment in the future. what's happening here will tell us clearly just how true what he says is. asr with his guard completely down, wants, loves, desires, can't live without only one... the crazy girl from lucknow who throws tea on him, pops out of his cupboard, fights with him, dances, touches him every time... his dil speaks and his dimaag forgets what he saw on a terrace... it forgets to find harsh ugly words that will create distance between them...

c'm'ere you... what he'll say months later, his gesture says now. stay here. i need nothing else but you...

when i think of practically any memorable dialogues from the show, they all seem to be echoing here.

this was such a dense scene, yet all they did was cuddle and lose themselves in each other like an innocent boy and girl.

her hand is against his heart right through. dil ki dhadkane... that's where they meet and nothing really matters.

when the din of the world drowns
the rhythm of your heartbeat
hold me in your heart
hold me in your heart
never ever doubt
no matter the deceit
hold my heart beat
hold my heart beat
when the clamour
takes the hour
touch your heart and there find me again and again

like a little boy, he refuses to let her go, like a woman in love she gazes into his eyes wanting to take all his feelings to and keep with her.

he is rapt, lost, just her, that is all he sees.

after that moment on the terrace, there's been not a moment of relief in the man. unable to reach the girl who makes a difference... to take her, to be hers. shiva swallowing poison to keep whom intact... to keep what alive. his heart beat is where the "chot" has come, how brave of him to let it beat still. thank g she thought of that bhang. sunshine neutralizes poison?

di calls once more.

the heady intoxication of bhang that breaks down doors shut by the brain and lets heart meet heart, alas that nasha must go.

"nimboo ka achar," says the sozzled khushi ji. how did sanaya get it so right? i hope this actor finds the right team to work with always so that her real talent can be drawn out.

he makes a face. little grouchy boy... they are interrupting his fun. bad di.

she just loves to see him being so boyish, so without responsibilities bowing him, no laad governor, just her poolside lover.

the sweetest hauling of drunk by drunk, and she clings to his arm, a clear case of united we stand, divided we fall.

of course the dupatta slips.

"wo wo jo kuch bhi hai hum usse lekar aa jayenge..." that that whatever it is, i'll pick it up and come... khushi is floating about, not finding the right words... nice writing.

"aap jaiye..." you go, she tells him.

"nai," a little slurred "no" comes from determined lover boy... arms cross chest, "main wait karoonga..." i'm going to wait.
he ain't letting her go... alas alas, that nimboo waits too...

and that crazily lovely kkg dialogue bowls me over.

she looks at his determined look... "kisska, hamari dhadkan ka?"

you'll wait for whom? my heartbeat?

why do i get the feeling the writers may have been jesting over a drink and this priceless one came...

wait for her heartbeat.. oh he will do that, for a very very long time.

the deadliest drunk lover smile,

and a hot sexy, grainy voice... "i'm waiting..."

okay girls, now i need to swoon for a bit. so break.

some other thoughts.

~ shyam appears, takes her away, asks her questions. all the while he's been lurking close by, yet i never saw this stalking tie up with any part of story.

~ scene shifts to the opposite of magic poolside with its love and only that. the sitting room with its three dimensions, its politics, its nimboo ready to bring you back to your dimaag... away from dil.

~ my mano baby is still alam pana hayee and mirchi khaaing... i love chillies, can't eat without them.

~ snake actually casually holds her hand to stop her. he certainly has a death wish.

~ kkg informs snake... ek ho gayi hamari dhakan... i rofled looking at his face.
"pata nahin kaise?" don't know how, she carries on... so cute.

~ slither goes to cup her face in his [alms. dis.gus.ting. okay mirroring and resonance and all that but gah. to her credit she chucks his hands away first before all else.

~ di asks, "chhotey, khushi ji kahan hai?" chhotey, where is khushi?

he replies, "dupatte mein..." in teh dupatta. a maze i sense... of words that carry hints.

~ when she is walking with asr, khsuhi asks ina troubled littel girl voice, "arnav ji?"

"kya hua?" he replies.

a lover looks at his sweetheart and touches her face without any qualms... a little bit of normalcy... something that is never to be his, is it?

"khushi?!"

looks like she wants to tell him about shyam, about her feelings, her confusion. but the brain is befuddled.

"nimboo... achar" she mumbles.

slightest ever that smile, how tender and embracing that "chalo."

who can direct this? how does an actor interpret this? and why am i thinking of jeremy irons in lolita.

~ reality is returning to all. he looks at her straight after having his pickle. and she at him. neither speaks... he looks shaken. and in classic asr manouvre... looks away. no eye contact. so does she.

~ moments of beautiful and unsettling awkwardness. in front of a room full of peopel, their private world again, but now stricken by so called reality. di delineates how unlike himself asr was... the new improved version. mami ji says from black and white art film he's become a film with song and dance. nice dialogues fly about, but what rivets attention are the volley of embarrased, awkward looks between teh two. finally he can't take it and asks his sister to delete all the video. he really is not a cutesy sort of guy.

only with khushi. only with her a side is shown.

and sorry, mano my twin, i prefer him in his art film mode. because he is indeed that. the serial hero is just a disguise.

di refuses to delete.

"ok fine," he is clipped, oh my asr.

he is leaving.

awkwardness... he is feeling it creep up.

so is she.

"arre haan tum dono gaye kahan the?" oh yeah, where did the two of you go... di asks when mamaji refers to them going "phur".

he pauses. he needs to know. does she remember? will she say?

neither can answer that question. he leaves.

the poolside returns to all our minds and hearts. but this time a sadness touches the joy.

~ disgusting shyam baits khushi... usurping "dil ki baat". but really what does a cold blooded creature know about four valved hearts and all their baat.

It was a joy to read your 209, a sheer poetry singing the song of heartfelt tenderness. The way he tends K, like an artist at work submerged in his painting/sculpture.
