"Kitni bar bolni hai" asked the heart broken girl... "sorry" "sorry"... as tears would start rolling down relentlessly down her cheeks... Arnav Singh Raizada, having a gala time flirting with his girl for the first time... all that playfulness would evaporate as the film of tears in her eyes clouds his head.. heart...he would instantly grab both her hands into his.. open her fist and place that ring while her palms are still safely nestled in his... Khushi, frustrated enough with that ring ruckus created by buaji and Shyam, struggles to slip it.. he couldn't see her struggle... he would take her hand into his one more time.. looks into her eyes intently.. does he acknowledge the import of what he has set out to do??... starts sliding that ring... onto her ring finger which carries a direct messenger from her heart...ever so gracefully with that haq only he has over her... a string of lilting notes on sitar, an extension of their love song... arrive ever so gently.. through his french doors a shadow of the ripples appears on the pool side wall ... as if dancing at the sight in front.."

It is time for the rerun of THAT episode today... its been more than two years since its aired the first time.. not an ounce of dearth in its sheen...nothing else matters BUT the marvel in front...how ironical we celebrate those inner most words on this thread..."iss pyar me sahi ya galath ka koi matlab nahi... bas ek cheez ka matlab hai..ki mei hamesha hamesha.." There is NO right or NO wrong.. only Arnav and Khushi.. hamesha..

The intensity of the sound/ sight of his heart break .. as he is devastated to realize what he just threw away...

a phenomenon can not be created or obliterated easily!

thanks for that treat up there.

that ring scene had a crazy intensity and beauty. she was like a girl possessed and he a man whose sense of control and being the master player gone in a second, in the grip of a feeling he had really no way of understanding or identifying. but it took him with it anyway.

the agony for her, getting engaged to a guy who meant nothing to her while knowing deep inside why she couldn't get engaged to him and then because of the weight of circumstances, because of a terrible rejection, burying her feelings and saying yes to a man who at best she felt was a friend of the family...

she was not in the best of mental states. nor was he. and then this ridiculous ring thing came along.

on that thought of nothing being even slightly diminished in all this time... i was thinking just this afternoon, maybe some day, i'd have worked all this mad love out... it would be gone and a time will come in my life that i would not remember these feelings, these riffs in me... like i have forgotten my many crushes, maybe some day, iss pyaar ko won't be what it is to me.

i didn't bother to really complete the thought, i just sat and looked at the circumstances in which he brought la home and all kkg and his obsessive feelings for each other... kkg wondering why i am thinking of this bad man and he looking at her dm murti, remembering in that uncontrollable spate many things khushi and then telling la... yes, i like you as you are.

when i read your note i went to check what i'd written for 124, just adding a bit.

"mujhe kya faraq padta hai?!! mujhe faraq padta hai, dammit, kyunki ..."
i can translate the line all i like, but i'll never catch the tone, the texture, the velvet under the fire, the desperate wanting wrapped in violent words. what difference does it make to me... makes a difference, dammit, because -

and the struggle starts... to finish a sentence.

Awesome post Horizon. This is one of the classic scenes of IPK. I was watching this episode a few days back and found myself replaying from Kitni baar bolni hai. Felt as if I could hear their dhak dhaks loud and clear. A situation which was painful for both of them. ASR would never have thought that his attempts to stay away from Khushi and her thoughts would have such repercussions.

As you said, he was happily, blissfully flirting and playing with his girl, when he realised she wasn't playing anymore. The matter had become tense and soon he gets the penalty for his deeds. Brilliant, outstanding performances by both actors.

Loved, loved, loved what you said above in bold. 😳

Hi Girls, I too watched that episode yesterday and was so blown away again. His intensity, his devastation when he finds out she is engaged. Uff! I felt his pain and her confusion. laughed out loud at the oo la la dance. Oh how I miss IPK.

Durga, thanks for the good wishes. Having a well needed rest but can't resist coming to our thread at times. I wonder if I will be able to leave my computer or phone at home again. It seems that since IPK I always feel the need to be in contact with you girls. I think I am losing my mind as days pass.😆

This was the first time when he felt lighter after letting her peep into his vulnerability under the stars and had started talking bringing things normal after Diwali.This is his time to change things but he wants more of her and that desire to touch her is swinging in the wind, singing in the water without knowing her inner war with the acceptance of other's on her which she never felt with him because "he has haq" only he has.

Well said, he always had hard time expressing himself in love or in hate ,only he can show which needs no words, he always wants her to understand, feel through his touch, his proximity and his tone, his texture,and wants to feel the burnt in which he is since he met her.
