DC - Reflections - 101

Dear All,

Welcome to the 101st edition of Reflections from The Director's Cut... when we started Director's Cut, we didn't know how, or most importantly, IF we will continue this day after day, everyday ! But the love and support of you all made us believe more in DC and you guys made DC what DC is today ! When the show went awry ... many left the show, many left writing.. but DC stood tall and till the end.. and it was all because of you all.

When Star decided to rerun IPK for international audience around the time of first anniversary of the original DC, there couldn't have been a better present. We launched Reflections.. since we know the story and we could ponder over it now.. No guessing games anymore ! We weren't sure if we wanted to continue it as a daily thread once again, cos it does take a lot of time.. and time (especially for me recently) has been a very difficult commodity.

But thanks to Poona and Arshi who took it upon them to write for DCR regularly.. DCR is alive and kicking. Lately, there's been some excellent discussions going on, on DCR.. and as much as I would have loved to, I was just not able to take time out to be a part of them.. But my partner in crime, Ruby, has kept the discussions going and I thank her for doing it single-handedly - in this partnership.

So from the bottom of my heart, I thank you all.. not just the writers, but also the readers (both silent ones and vocal ones).. for making DCR what it is.

Coming back to IPK 101..

Yesterday we saw an iconic episode. The first time Khushi hugged him.. needed him, his shoulder to cry on. A self-made, independent girl like Khushi.. wondered herself, why she acted the way she did... why did she feel so week that she needed HIS strength to support her. The realization that he did not even say a word to comfort her, let alone hug her back.. why did it hurt so much? Wasn't he always like this?

At the same time Arnav kept wondering why he couldn't hug her back.. why did he just keep staring at her crying? Why her tears bothered him so much? Who is this girl? Why is she tormenting him day and night by coming to his thoughts every second of the day ! And why couldn't he be there to support her when she most needed it.. All she needed was to hear from him.. All will be fine.. But he couldn't gather up courage enough to say those words to her. Why.. Arnav Singh Raizada, couldn't even console a broken girl !

As if the guilt of not being able to comfort her with words was, the faux pas by his accountant was too much for Arnav to bear.. He couldn't stand anymore watching the helplessness in her eyes, so he went on to get another check for her, but she had misunderstood him and already left.

They say Actions Speak Louder Than Words.. What he couldn't say to her in words, he communicated it be his actions. The hospital bill was paid fully, she need not worry about it anymore. But more importantly, today's episode was the most significant episode of IPK..

A young man, when he keeps his hand on a young woman's head.. signifies a symbol of protection. He is not her father or her brother who should protect her, but from now on, he is her protector, her guide in life, her mentor.

For today, Arnav Singh Raizada took Khushi Kumari Gupta under his wing. To have and to hold, to nurture and to protect.. From this day onwards, she was his.

It doesn't matter if he is unable to form the right words to console her.. it is his actions that comforts her... And this is the reason Khushi finally realized, why she needed his ... only his shoulder to cry on. Because he is the Rajkumar, not the shaitaan !

And so he shall... always.. hamesha..

Meanwhile, in the Garden of Eden.. the Snake is slowly trying to persuade Eve to bite the apple.. Eve has declined the first offer... but, he will try again with his sweet tongue. Will he succeed? Only time will tell !

Tu hi bata mere Maula Special

Luck "Taqdeer", Destiny which always plays a role in our life though some of us believe in writing by ourselves .As a human being you can't connect the dots looking forward ,you can only connect them looking backwards so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future and for that you have to trust in something like destiny.This destiny connecting all the dots for Arnav and Khushi to bring them together regardless of the Slouchy moves of those who are trying to connect the wrong dots.

All the dots of the above Sufiana Kalam[Qawali] is indicating the destiny which is playing a prerequisite role here in the union of these two selfless souls whose painful hearts only find solace no where else but in each others regardless of their own differences or the differences created by others.

Shyam is playing with a heart whose voice can be heard by any invisible force of divinity in this world but the forces around him who are hell bound to force a relationship on a pure soul[Khushi] thrown by the forceful Scorpion's sting.He is taking blessings by hurting a helpless guy . Such a poltroon ---😡

Buaji and Garima is fixing Khushi and Shyam's marriage and Scorpy's stingy smile is killing one heart who is totally helpless in front of this force but totally unaware of the smile of destiny which is going to abate this evil force once and for all.

Destiny is playing another play with two hearts on the corner .Akash wants to be with Payal in her distress but can't because of the created circumstances .He calls her to find out about her dad and the family but Payal tells her the difference of status they have and because of that they shouldn't be talking to each other

Arnav comes to hospital to rectify his mistake as he couldn't hug her back or console her but as he is man of action not words ,he is here to pay all the bills for her and wanted to leave without being in the picture but again Destiny is playing his role she finds out and she did not like it as she did not forget his words "tum jaisi aukad ki larki paisoon keh liyeh khuch bhi kar sakti hai"[a gal like you can do anything for money]She does not want him to think she hugged him because she wanted money as he thinks of her not more than a "gold digger".She is standing in front of him with her self respect "Hum apne Babuji ka ilag khud karwa sakte hain---hum par koi ehsaan mat kijye-hum she nahin payengey[I can take care of my father's treatment-----don't do any favor as I can't tolerate it]

He is perplexed too ,"I know you can take care of everything and I felt my accountant shouldn't cut the TDS."

Khushi with her contrariant and unmixable shaky emotions realizes what is she saying as he is here to help her but nothing .She walks away and he sees her with his uncertain emotions but he sure knows her shaky and tempestuous state and he can't leave her like that .He comes close to her while she is pouring her pain out by crying bitterly which is unbearable for him .Again subconsciously she relies on him ,depends on her pillar of strength and tells him she can't lose her father again ,she can't go through with the same pain again and starts sobbing by covering her face .He hesitantly and slowly picks his hand and puts on her head to assure her "he is always be there for her no matter what." She looks at him and his hand receives his unsaid words as she knows he will be.

Symbolism and connection:when Arnav was walking in the hallway 303,304,305,306 numbers of room add em up and it is 30 which refers to balanced divine forces ,existence of God . Connection is clear as All the divine forces are working to bring em closer.

3 chairs as three is the # of success and a masculine #.

PONDERING Connected Dots:[she witnessed it since guesthouse till Nainital ,he always saved her no matter what and later during kidnapping she made him aware of that too when he asks her to remove her hand from bushes and she refused while saving him]

They both steal glances of each other and then walk away in different direction with the Sufiana Kalam [Qawali] in the BG and every note is indicating their state of Divine Love which is strange but bonded together by FATE and every element of this earth is joining hands together to bring em together.

The dots of the Sufiana Kalam[Qawali] are sending notes to connect these dots for them or in other words praying and playing with destiny to bring them an inch closer each time.

Khushi told her Jiji why don't we search for boys who are brothers then we will be together and a thunderbolt connected those dots as her wish along with Anjali's wish got accepted and which was written by Fate already, but at the same time Akash and Payal's destiny was written too .Indeed these two selfless souls who can go any length for their family then how the destiny make em disappointed by not taking care of them. That time ASR was playing odd games to keep her away but was he successful.His odd games entangled him in her red saree and then drenched him in the rain hug for her safety . Destiny proved stronger than ever.

PONDERING CONNECTING DOTS: The thunderbolt one time more will give her sign when she will acknowledge Arnav as her Rajkumar and the reason of her Dhak Dhak.
