hello, my dears... am butting in.i love the discussion.of course, the contract bothered her like crazy. she might have even let it go, but when he brought it up after the fight over di (of course just to keep her with him though she didn't get that, i wouldn't either), she was hurt angry frustrated... .and she left him.i get the feeling the writers at different points when they felt a surge of love for their creation, did try to save it, but again the sp interference and demands of trp messed up.this was a lovely moment, his bringing up contract... her leaving because of it. the perfect way to enter this difficult part of their tale and resolve it.but two things happened... and again i bring up patriarchy.a girl is not supposed to demand anything in this format... so she told dm, she is not mad at him about the contract. yet she was really mean to him on her bday. strange.and the other was i think a sudden channel demand... bring in dadi and remarriage... both for trp no doubt. there was a change of writers. dadi who was the only flat character in the whole of ipk, was i bet designed to bring in sp's regular audience who like melodrama nonstop and simple good or bad people (they don't exist but so what).and so... the lovely point they worked out when on 1 august he said, i will bring you back before the contract is over and she said no way will i go back till the contract isn't done... aah what a beauty that was... such a desperate and poignant need and wanting of each other.but after that everything changed.i can't make sense of remarriage. which is why nothing in it moved me, apart from the extreme sexual tension of haldi and the aane do cuteness. there was a beautiful moment in "mat jao." maa's garden had a loveliness but not deeply and sensitively explored. plus the body doubles were disturbing.and suddenly as if to reach out to us again... came farm hou\se.i loved it.i almost forgave khushi for rejecting her besotted completely loving husband on the suhag raat night.i was happy, she gave the wedding of theirs in the temple the place it deserved and surrendered to her need, her love. for khushi, her mind had to say i am married to him before she'd have sex. i have no problems with that... that is in her character.and actually ever since he thrust that mangalsutra on her and put sindoor on her maang, she did deep inside know this was it. and she would never ever break this relatonship. oh that fascinating moment between the two... i didn't tie this knot, but since the thread has been thrust into my hand, i shall... .but she did need him to free this tie of that contract stain... which never ever happened. 😡barun and sanaya could have done fireworks with the contract and its resolution.khushi was a normal girl with a sense of regard for herself.she had her anger, her pride, her abhimaan.she was not a wimp.to be walked over by the family and perform so called duties. her only interest being her family's well being, and no interest whatsoever in her man or herself.fine line... between self regard and self centredness. while the latter is abhorrent, not having the former makes you a piece of furniture. with a twisted heart ultimately.so i am all for angry "aap shut up" khsuhi ji.one more thing... on that gold digger issue. he brought it up whenever he felt defenceless, right from day one... hurling such insults possibly made him deny the tremors he felt within him when he saw her or read her eyes. but on the bridge... his lethal attack, that you do all of this to be mrs asr... aisho aram... money, etc. a fantastic opening for a resounding denouement. yet... it was never mentioned again, ever. biiizaaarrree.

Some thoughts...the contract:when he brought it up after the fight over di he was desperate, she was leaving he needed something to keep her there so he used the contract. funny using the word desperate with ASR but I do believe that was his desperation using it to control his wife. Khushi was strong and stubborn minded, he really didn't have much control over her. The swami routine was hysterical and perfect example of Khushi behaving like the perfect bahu. It drove him nuts!a girl is not supposed to demand anything in this format... so she told dm, she is not mad at him about the contract. yet she was really mean to him on her bday. strange.I m going to have to go back to really watch that epi again but I am feeling like she was just angry at him trying to control her and him using the contract as an excuse. She knew him better than he knew himself. She was angry because her marriage was fake in his eyes or she thought he thought that. Although deep down she knew he loved her in the coming epis.Hated Dadi but I love/ed the remarriage track...I did, I do😳"mat jao" ohhh so sweet, loved how he said that and I wished she stayed and it could have been a perfect consummation.the body doubles were disturbing. Agreeand suddenly as if to reach out to us again... came farm hou\se.i loved it. Me too!!!!I agree totally with this...i was happy, she gave the wedding of theirs in the temple the place it deserved and surrendered to her need, her love. for khushi, her mind had to say i am married to him before she'd have sex. i have no problems with that... that is in her character.and actually ever since he thrust that mangalsutra on her and put sindoor on her maang, she did deep inside know this was it. and she would never ever break this relatonship. oh that fascinating moment between the two... i didn't tie this knot, but since the thread has been thrust into my hand, i shall... .but she did need him to free this tie of that contract stain... which never ever happened. 😡i am all for angry "aap shut up" khsuhi ji. me too! Mrs. India sucked!one more thing... on that gold digger issue. he brought it up whenever he felt defenceless, right from day one... hurling such insults possibly made him deny the tremors he felt within him when he saw her or read her eyes. but on the bridge... his lethal attack, that you do all of this to be mrs asr... aisho aram... money, etc. a fantastic opening for a resounding denouement. yet... it was never mentioned again, ever. biiizaaarrree.I know hated when they didn't follow through with the story lines. She shared everything on that bridge and she got nothing from him that bothered me.Anyway am enjoying our conversations, but I must retire. I am exhausted. See you in the AM if G-d allows. 😉🥱
i adore that desperate man who threw the contract in her face to hold her back. before that had come, the heart melting, "aur main?" and me? ufff i want this acting baaack.i love him driven nuts... swami was hilarious and really really she was so damn irritating. i of course saw lots of sex there too. one track mind, me.what what what was mrs india... aaargh.since i believed they were married, remarriage silly to me. ah if you had a stunning week of him reaffirming his love, under the stars by the water... i can hear him telling her he wants to do this for her, because he wants to, he loves her and he knows he has shattered dreams of a beautiful wedding. she maybe would demur, but he'll go ahead. a quiet joyous private ceremony inviting the families' blessings and their parents'. there might even have been simple pheras there.later when they are alone he lets her read maa's letter, plays with the kangans he has slipped onto her wrists... they make love, and then feeling safe at last, he puts his head on her lap and sleeps right there under the stars, and she slides down next to him and nods off.we could have had a magical week again...classy, private, ipk. like holi... heaven.and there would have been a way to make khushi feel and say, she does not need pheras to make love to him, because she knows he is indeed her pati.hayeee.okay let's raise money for ipk 2...
episode 206
Firstly, i loved khushi is this hairstyle. she was looking so pretty!i wish if you wouldn't include that devil in this edit.
holi morning is here.
khushi in her true crazy self, sanka, is talking in her sleep. i am looking at the girl sleeping by the poolside, blissfully unhampered by her predicament, planning fun merrily even in her sleep. so very endearing. And so very cute. just like an angel!
and if i may say, so damn needed.
as our world standardizes and loses flavour and colour, as all of us are so busy being "right", being perceived as being correct all the time. as how we are seen becomes more important than who and how we are... as we lose touch with ourselves, i know i sound doomy and gloomy, but posturing and being perceived a way rather than being who we really are is entering our genes sometimes i fear...What we can do, the family and society are too demanding in this matter. specially when you are under the reign of somebody.
the image above all else.
in this world, i think we really need a khushi. so very human. she would have charmed a whole cave, men would refuse to go hunting and gathering i bet.Absolutely true. she is such an optimistic soul! That's why i love her so much.
a little nutty. not always right. fighter, spirited, heart in the right place. head sharp enough but always somewhat floaty, kyunki tumhara dimaag jo pehle se hi itna kharab hai... because your brain which is damaged already, can't let it get damaged any more. only she could have gotten a man to feel so giddily and utterly tender and loving, even when he thought she was christine keeler's guru, home wrecker, lying conniving bad five letter word.
but that screw loose brain of hers and that never wrong heart of hers, that had him feeling stuff no one could make him feel.👏essential to khushi this crazy clean quotient. essential it is to asr falling for her too. this used to touch him. this was believable... every time. that a hardened man would suddenly respond to this character... there was spike in her. needed if one is to cleave that thick faraq nahin padta fortress and break down barriers of mistrust and cynicism. her aap shut ups, her crazy oh i didn't get orange juice that's why, her sitting quiet in a ditch counting the minutes, her popping out of cupboards, her chakii pisseeeng. all made a mark. and her innocence, her cleanness of heart. he could never fight that. her clear eyed fact facing, her gutsiness.
if she were just a sweet "good" girl he might have felt protective toward her but he wouldn't have fallen for her, gorgeous head over sexy heels. lagi shart?
as the scemne unfolds i am thinking, she tries to find her own way through things. even hell. in minutes from now: hamare saath jo bhi ho raha hai, whatever is happening with me right, today they will get resolved. an upbeat, let me take you on life attitude. i like.
and she is instinctive. not always thinking with her grey matter, but thinking with her heart and gut. this is valuable. we are losing this all around us. too much of so called rational thinking, too little of dil.
i can't explain how much it hurt when it was decided it was okay to let thislovely characyter go and become "good".
"uthja khushi aaj holi hai... kitna kuchh karna hai," get up khushi today is holi... there's so much to do.
she talks away.
he awakens.
"thandai... tel lagana hai..." must make thandai... have to put oil...
"rang? sabke liye rang bhi toh kharidne hai..." colour? must buy colour for everyone. she laughs.
"what the..." he is grouchy. they both are in such an impossible situation. maybe sleep is teh only time when there's respite from a most painful reality.
"amma babu ji ke liye hara," green for amma and babu ji, declares holi girl.
he's listening..
"bua ji ke liye sandhi... jiji ke liye neela, devi maiyya ke liye laal," buaji has a colour (i don't know what that word means), payal will get blue and dm gets red. ah so she is thinking of dm, though she as we knwo is not talking to her. yeah, what the, just because you're god, don't think i have to be nice to you... in fact i hate you. you have done this to me. so asr hates kkg who hates dm. something so natural in that anger against her goddess who she loves and trusts with everything.
in the bedroom, he is getting lost in this thing as he realises what's happening.
"aur hamara? hmm..." and mine? hmm.
he begins to smile. hansa toh phansa, i think... smile and you're caught.
"hamara rang hoga.. peela!" my colour will be yellow.
he's melted.A stone would've melted to see this angel. She was looking so cute while talkng in her sleep. sanaya is just a barbie doll and of course a fabulous actress.
holi hai! she wakes up laughing, happy, all woes forgotten.
a very husky "paagal" as sanka realises where she is...
he must have ben so happy to see her as she really is after so so long. he goes back to bed.
creative salways used the festivals well. never too heavy handed, somewhere using the essence of each occasion to take the story further. forgiving and forgetting is a part of holi. also if i am not mistaken with the burning of holika it's as if the past mistakes are driven away, making way for the new. plus of course thsi is the beginning of spring. winter's chill clears and makes way for sunshine. for birth and rebirth.
"kyunki bura na maano holi hai" don't mind, it's holi! khushi yells out the familiar holi call.
"shut up, khushi!"
back to nasty... for effect, bas.
"unbelievable!"
"kisse baat kar rahi ho tum?" who are you talking to?
"khud se, aur kisse!" to myself, who else.
i feel for asr. khadoos humourless man, always carrying the burden of the world on his perfect shoulders... poor baby. what does he know of sublime sanak.that's why colorful sanka devi came to his insipid life to fill it with spice and colors.
"paagal ho gayi ho kya?" have you gone mad?
she smiles, "bachpan se," from childhood.
weird almost besotted grimace, "right."
"aap ko pata nahin tha?" you didn't know? she pushes. she wants something from him alright... because she knows her heart trips madly when he';s around even though he has been so utterly mean and awful.
he is dying to laugh. how can you hate such a lunatic?
"aap ke liye rang chunne mein bilkul bhi waqt nahin laga, aap ko pata hai kaunsa? kala." took no time to choose a colour for you, she teases, black.
he is ready to hit her.
she runs off on a giggle, he gets up on a snarl, but his eyes, they just want her. so much.
a most poignant moment comes later, when he lowers himself to her level as she searches for her coins under the bed. and then just has to reach out and protect her head when she is about to bang it on the edge of the bed. to perfect this scene, there's humour, gussa, and all those things they say with their eyes which you can feel even when you aren't watching, just remembering them.
isn't that how love should be?Yup, ASR and Khsuhi are the definition of love for me.thanks to gul for giving us such a wonderful love story.
she breaks her gullak, piggy bank, after apologising to it, of course. she was collecting money for a gotewala saree when she turned 25? aw, buy the girl one of those right now, i say.You know indi, I became so emotional in this scene. a young girl, who worked for her family, mustn't bought any thing of her wish. she collected money and coins in a piggy bank to buy her favorite thing. And for her sister's happiness, she is ready to sacrifice also. I wish if ASR would've heard this, then he wouldn't have called her a gold digger again.
she drops some coins on the floor.
crawls and checks under the bed.
he walks in on cue, lost in a file. steps on piggy bank bits.
picks up piece... what?
sees her, head thrust under bed.
sits down by her... staring... what now. there's this gentle quizzical air about him. something so delicate in this frame.
she comes up jubilant with a coin, sees him and her smile freezes. a touch of comedy all through, but a deep tenderness in all of it too.
"toh tum mujhse chhup rahi thi..." so you were hiding from me. he is obviously flummoxed by this ostrich behaviour.
"haan?"
indeed.
"kyunki tum shayad haar gayi" maybe because you lost so you are embarrassed.
nothing like that, she explains about the coins and dives back under the bed to retrieve coins.
his hand stretches out to shield her from hurt.
she looks back at his hand, heart stopping pause.
"tum koi kaam theek se nahin kar sakti kya? sar par chot lag jaati toh?" can't you do anything right? if you'd hurt your head?
he has to yell. concern, love, his own awkwardness at all his crazy feelings.uncontrollable feelings.
she's surprised... as she comes up, rabba vey fades in.
he looks at her, she is helpless in the surge of an unknown feeling that has just walked in uninvited.
he turns away, withdraws his hand, seeks his anger, his "couldn't care less", "faraq nahin padta".
she fixes her dupatta, looking down, a bit lost... touching her confusion, her yearning for what she thought might happen between them. he looks at her.then she asks a khushi like question, there's no one here other than us, then why did you do that?
he cuts in, a rough edge to his voice, a need to shut her up, because teh real answer he just can't give, "kyunki tumhara dimaag jo pehle se hi itna kharaab hai, usse aur kharab nahin hone de sakte."
sounded like i adore you, i want you so bad, i can't let you be alone any more.
and her gaze and words seemed to say, if you like me so much why are you avoiding me.
one could only sigh and just keep staring at the two. so much tenderness and longing, all communicated through the eyes, and little notes in the voice.
then came the lovely encounter over 300 rupees.
"aap ke bhasha mein kya kahte hain... loan," what do you cal it in your language... loan. said she, all perky and i can crack this problem like.
"oh, loan," the look on his face.
her "busines business khelna" and little promissory note, followed by his resigned, "thank you," were just too good.
"ladki mujhe pagal kar degi," the girl will drive me mad he muttered, sounded as though he invited the predicament with open arms.
where did they find this tenderness?
that was his colour today surely.
where are these guys.
nani ji is upset. her holi box with pichkari waits. no doubt khushi who talks to goats seriously will find a way to appease her.
episode opened on snake and the one he has charmed... anjali. every word of hers riled him. he was going to do something about khushi ji. and finally he walked in wearing white, kaala of heart, red on his hand.
apparently he will be the first to put colour on khushi. she froze, then found a way to vanish in the nick of time. but not before two very angry eyes had seen the whole thing. eyes that turn to puddles when she does crazy things. eyes she can't look into and not feel her heart race. but for now, his gaze is fixed on a cretin. gussa reddens the air. let's play holi.
episode 206Love this edit...because Khushi is smiling after a long time.
holi morning is here.
khushi in her true crazy self, sanka, is talking in her sleep. i am looking at the girl sleeping by the poolside, blissfully unhampered by her predicament, planning fun merrily even in her sleep. so very endearing. He said her later.."Khushi bilkul bachi ho tum..." on Karva Chauth but here is she like a small kid planning all , being impatient ...talking to herself...Love that when he said to her "Paagal.." the modulation of this word from his mouth is enough for show intoxication of his soul.
and if i may say, so damn needed.
as our world standardizes and loses flavour and colour, as all of us are so busy being "right", being perceived as being correct all the time. as how we are seen becomes more important than who and how we are... as we lose touch with ourselves, i know i sound doomy and gloomy, but posturing and being perceived a way rather than being who we really are is entering our genes sometimes i fear...You know what , regardless our norms, culture, society whatever...some where sometimes it's our fault too.Living in states I learn one thing...There is no Rok Tok...and there is no fear yet certain limitations and barriers are made in such a way that you abide by them since childhood and that comes along with you but the side of childhood remain intact and you don't lose it.Teach and then let them follow...kind a thing not just take danda and force them follow...
the image above all else.
in this world, i think we really need a khushi. so very human. she would have charmed a whole cave, men would refuse to go hunting and gathering i bet.So so true , I think the Khushi tv is the only thing we watch all the time 😆Her innocent and optimistic nature is what makes ppl fall for her.
a little nutty. not always right. fighter, spirited, heart in the right place. head sharp enough but always somewhat floaty, kyunki tumhara dimaag jo pehle se hi itna kharab hai... because your brain which is damaged already, can't let it get damaged any more. only she could have gotten a man to feel so giddily and utterly tender and loving, even when he thought she was christine keeler's guru, home wrecker, lying conniving bad five letter word.
but that screw loose brain of hers and that never wrong heart ofhers, that had him feeling stuff no one could make him feel.⭐️❤️That was the key , her innocent and spunky , like nature makes him fall for her and he couldn't stop loving her.His hate walls crumble all the time.essential to khushi this crazy clean quotient. essential it is to asr falling for her too. this used to touch him. this was believable... every time. that a hardened man would suddenly respond to this character... there was spike in her. needed if one is to cleave that thick faraq nahin padta fortress and break down barriers of mistrust and cynicism. her aap shut ups, her crazy oh i didn't get orange juice that's why, her sitting quiet in a ditch counting the minutes, her popping out of cupboards, her chakii pisseeeng. all made a mark. and her innocence, her cleanness of heart. he could never fight that. her clear eyed fact facing, her gutsiness. All of her cuteness is lying here in these Paagal hai but cute hai...If he has power he will keep this spirit of her alive forever.Tumhara saath bitaey huwe moments yaad rehne lag gaye...His reason of survival...
if she were just a sweet "good" girl he might have felt protective toward her but he wouldn't have fallen for her, gorgeous head over sexy heels. lagi shart?Totally agree with you.Their relationship could've measured at different angle, protective yes but also more agressive, passive more tentative towards as no relation as he is not that kind of a guy who would've even fall for her at the first place and same from her side.Their angry seductive side is more appealing from both sides and for both of them,Khushi is in it.She got attractive towards his roughness which shows her more of a human she was looking for and same in his case.as the scemne unfolds i am thinking, she tries to find her own way through things. even hell. in minutes from now: hamare saath jo bhi ho raha hai, whatever is happening with me right, today they will get resolved. an upbeat, let me take you on life attitude. i like.Love her ❤️
and she is instinctive. not always thinking with her grey matter, but thinking with her heart and gut. this is valuable. we are losing this all around us. too much of so called rational thinking, too little of dil.Because others make us go back to the same time out chair...

in the bedroom, he is getting lost in this thing as he realises what's happening.

one could only sigh and just keep staring at the two. so much tenderness and longing, all communicated through the eyes, and little notes in the voice. They both have searched what they were looking for and they got it but Dimaag ko kharab nahin hone de sakte...Dil jaye Bhar main😊
then came the lovely encounter over 300 rupees.
"aap ke bhasha mein kya kahte hain... loan," what do you cal it in your language... loan. said she, all perky and i can crack this problem like.
"oh, loan," the look on his face.
her "busines business khelna" and little promissory note, followed by his resigned, "thank you," were just too good.👏
"ladki mujhe pagal kar degi," the girl will drive me mad he muttered, sounded as though he invited the predicament with open arms.
where did they find this tenderness?
that was his colour today surely.
