asr is the only male character on tv who in my opinion was always honourable - seriously, apart from trying to get khushi out of his office and his life i cant think of a single other instance where he was being manipulative and coldly vengeful. he did what he wanted but there was always an underlying decency there. even forcing khushi to marry him was a last resort and a way to keep di and her baby safe rather than to get back at khushi.

i never felt like she wasn't safe with him - he annoyed me, made me angry and want to whack him over the head sometimes or hope he got sense smacked into him by nani or di but his actions never repulsed me or horrified or sickened me. he was actually decent with everyone except khushi and most of their sparring was verbal - for me that was acceptable and i was willing to wait for him to redeem himself because he never did anything which was beyond redemption in my opinion.
