Important.

He had not lied ... not even a half truth ... not even a little white lie ... Lavanya had asked, Is there no one else, other than his Di, important in his life ??? A very terse, brutally honest answer ... Nahi koi nahi hai ... An honest answer ... on many levels ... Even to himself ...

His girlfriend has been feeling really miserable about her behavior last night at the party and was sincerely making amends. She had apologized to Nani, to him ... and now was promising to win over every ones heart ... Not necessary ... he informs her. His only concern is his Di. He is still troubled by his Di's tears ... If she is not happy... then nothing is else matters ... Lavanya knows of his love and his devotion to his sister and completely understands ... but wants a little more for herself ... Is no one else important in his life ... she hopefully prompts ... It does not take him long to respond ... Even before he closes his eyes ... His heart answers ... Almost painfully he closes his eyes ...

Important ... Is she important ??? What does the word mean ?? An adjective ... a descriptive ... Something significant ... meaningful ... something that matters ... Does this describe his condition ... his feelings for her ??? The word only barely begins to depict what he is feeling ... and then runs clear out of meaning ...

Important ... It does not describe how his heart had stopped when he had thought he had lost her that night in the guesthouse ... or his cold ... sweaty... Paralyzingly relief at seeing her well ... It most certianly does not communicate how she manages to melts his heart everytime with her tears ... or disclose how she had turned him to stone, by just draping herself in that red sari ... or explain how she had wrenched his gut out when she was leaving him ... or describe the skip of his heartbeat ...when her duppatta had reached out and embraced him ... not wanting to let him go ...

Important ... No there was no else important in his life ... The word does not have the weight, the intensity, the ferocity, the longing, the soul destroying obsessive quality he wants to impart to it ... Give him another word .. but not important ...

His Di meanwhile is in Buaji's home with a Prasthav ... A Proposal ... Definitely not the kind Devi Maiya had envisioned for her girl ... but definitely a start ...

The only important person in his life, Anjali Singh Raizada ... Arnav Singh Raizada's sweet, pleasent, accomodating, overtly religious, God fearing, devoted sister ... She has lead a cloistered, protected life ... Maybe due to her hancicap ... maybe being a much loved only daughter in a traditional family ...maybe due their tragic circumstances ... A wedding stopped on the most horrific night of her life ... she probably was easy pickings for her conniving husband ... And today nobody is more shocked than her husband at her uncharacteristic behaviour ...

Aap ko yaad ho ya na ho ... humay yaad hai ki aapko AR companies ko Ek lakh rupaay dena hai ... Khushi had in plain, clear words laid out why she could not take her up on this offer ... and how hard it is for her to refuse ... considering the financial burdens on her slim shoulders ... But it seems Anjali gets what Anjali wants ... and really this is not at all about her ... It is all for the sake of her precious brother ... his Girlfriend .. her Nani ... and even for Poor little Khushi and I mean poor ... Asa nahi hai ki aap ko iss kaam kay paisay nahi milaygay ...

Is this merely a desperate sister trying her level best to do what is best for her brother and her family ... no matter what the cost ... or is this something more than that ???

What, in her brother, is an ingrained determination to plow through all resistance, no matter the cost, in Anjali, at this particular instance, is a much quieter ... more foreboding ... more surprising lack of empathy ... Hints of an inherent ... intensely selfish, close minded, mypoic world view ... where no one else other than her immediate loved ones matter ... and their interests are paramount. An astonishingly twisted sense of reality ... of understanding ... Kushiji ki toh hum madad kar rahay hai ... No conversation of the payment of the Meethai contract ... which both Naniji and Anjali herself had assured the girls .. Saab theek ho jayga ... Kis kay kliya theek ho jayaga ??? Not for Khushi and her family apparently ... Again later at Janamasthmi ... a simlar lack of concern ... even no necessisity for basic decency ... for Khushi's humiliation, her tears .. Just a rush to sweep everthing under the carpet and put on happy smiles for the pooja ... after all who is Khushi ... but god forbid that an auspicious day shoud be ruined ...

Yes today was the day.. I felt the selfishness of Anjali came out so clearly..

Though why did Khushi not counter act and say.. Ur brother put my life in jeopardy.in guest house...u r talking of 1 lakh.. I am going to sue our brothers company for more..

Mami ruined the saris and then the Mithais were ruined.. No payment was given..the raizadas were very selfish and myopic.. These instances made sure I never had any sympathy for Anjali throughout the series..so did the audience..I always felt they should have build Anjali in to a more greyer character later on.. Would have been more interesting for the soap audience... Rather than making her a furniture later on and getting dadi , sheetal..

After the unmasking of Shyam... Anjali would have been the perfect vamp..

A person who can but does not try to be independent.. And instead leaches on others deserves to get their asses kicked by their equally conniving partners..

Anjali - the most intriguing character of the story

A true Rani Sahiba

Who is sweet and good if things go her way

Ruthless and steely, if they don't

While she came across as weak and clingy and oh so sweet

She was the mistress of emotional blackmail

A complex character crippled emotionally more than physically

And a woman who took what she wanted and forgave nothing

Look at her dramatics post Shyam ouster, post her miscarriage

And her quick recovery after she discovered Shyam's truth

Thrown out like a doodh se makhi

And not remembered there after !

Arnav Singh Raizada

Is Khushi Kumari Gupta important to him?

No, never, he will not allow her to be

Agar hui bhi toh ASR Usse door hi rahega

The lock on his heart hasn't opened yet

And the cracks that have been developed

ASR is able to manage them

Through these cracks, Khushi

Is slowly creeping in

But at this point ASR is thinks he has a firm grip on the situation

And will not acknowledge to himself

That his heart has been stolen and is no longer his!

Well I did not like Anjali later but right now I absolutely understood what she did ! After all Arnav DID pay the contractor for sweets in the party .. Whether the contractor paid khushi .. Was not shown ... But raizadas paid !
Also seeing from Anjali's pov .. She KNOWS la is prob not the right girl for her chotey but HE wants her and if HE does then she will MAKE her suitable .. For that she will do anything !!! If nani thinks khushi is perfect then she will get khushi to coach ... Anjali thinks Khushi's resistance is only due to misunderstanding with Arnav ... As khushi and Arnav do NOT understand each other ..
After all both have gone to immense lengths to hide the constant thoughts they have of each other ... And since it is just a misunderstanding and khushi will be paid for her job ... It will help financially so Anjali uses coercion but does apologize later too ...
