Agree with you all about the camera work. First we see the sequence in regular shots. Then for a very dramatic effect, we get a extreme long shot where we have miniature Arhi ready for the act and panoramic poolside, then this is immediately followed by there deadly close cup, the thud and the aftermath.

I read your comments for Durgas's poolside. The three stages of tugging has shaken me. Shaken I am by what I saw yesterday in the broken bangle scene by the roadside. My heart fluttered when I saw these two tugging and pulling, the tigress resisting the lion, what else you need. A hyperventilating K, a ho gaya from the proud Raizada while relishing the effects he has on his lady. This reminded me of Diwali thoda dard hoga payal scene. Gosh great going CVs. They do have a way of inserting these quickies. Then we have the languid ones presented at its most aesthetically in teri meri and this poolside.

CV's...am sure they were relishing the effect the quickies had on us, much like the Raizada man relished his effect on our girl. I have that sensation in my forearms right now as i type. And the breathtaking languids...we are dedicating entire threads to that fine aesthetic. Have to say am loving every second of it.

Rewatched 176 last night...and coming up soon are the tigress and the lion... Can't wait.

Indi, it is scary to think that they are in a badla mood. Agreed, they went through a lot which can't be forgotten easily. But so did everyone associated with the show. Except for the relief that the butchering of the story would finally stop, no one was happy with the show's closure. Nobody gained anything from it, it was everybody's loss. The least they could do is understand the reason for such an uproar and respect the sentiments of the lovers of the show. This constant "show you" attitude hurts, dammit.

Episode 174, the poolside kiss. What a beautiful visual treat! The whole scene starting from the kangan falling into the pool to her running away from the room, was poetry in motion.

The synchronised movements of hands in the water reaching out for the kangan, the posture the two were in while doing so, the fall of the kangan back into the water, the splash, the reaction of the two to that moment. The timely holding of the dupatta, the tug that she feels, the back turn and the startling realisation that it is him holding the dupatta (I love this shot, him sitting, her standing, both holding the same pink dupatta). The encircling of the dupatta around his hand as if in a beat, a rhythm, the step by step nearing of her towards him as he does so. The angle they stand in while being so close to each other, his target right in front of him, the famous sound as he does the act, her reaction at his unexpected deed, the loosening of the dupatta from his hand, again as if to a beat, a rhythm. During all this, the conversation between them, as if singing a duet. And finally, her leaving the room in a sprint and him watching her go, with an expression of happiness, delight, contentment, achievement and competely smitten.

I would say this was not a well directed scene, but a beautifully choreographed one. A dance by the couple all the way. 😳

Episode 176

Shyam is pouring ghee (well he is pouring something. I remember in one episode they made a big deal about ghee so I am going to guess that) into the havan fire with an evil smirk (poor guy thinks his plan is going to work but DM has other plans for him)/ Akash comes and asks him why he is doing all the work and I will call HP (How much work can one man do). Shyam said I want to do on this on his own because it means a lot to Rani Sahiba (man he has a way with words. No one cannot argue with him or say no). Akash praises him saying Di is lucky to have husband like him because he cares a lot for her. Akash leaves from there leaving Shyam and his evil self. (How can you miss someone making a creepy face while pouring ghee into the havan fire, I guess for them it is normal for him to make such faces and they just ignore it?)

Nani and Anjali are walking by the poolside, when Anjali tells her to talk loud so that Arnav can hear it (if it involves Khushi, you can talk with a normal voice because he has a bionic ear when it comes to her). Nani and Anjali are talking about Khushi's marriage and Arnav's attention is caught. Nani and Anjali realize this she says that Khushi needs to come to their house because they can't let a good girl out of their hand. Arnav walks towards them annoyed with the topic and they pretend that did not see Arnav. Arnav looked like he was not buying their excuse. Nani says that she wants to ask his opinion; otherwise, how they will take this matter ahead (only Nani truly knows how to make Arnav a fool). Nani said that she wants Khushi to come to the house as a bride. Arnav says Khushi and him? As he was saying that he was stumbling over his words and feeling shy (normally he would deny the idea of marriage immediately but he is actually considering it). Nani says not him and Khushi but NK and Khushi and Arnav is shocked and he gets frustrated. He is totally devastated and he does not know how to respond. He quickly says Are you (could not finish his thought but he meant serious) and then I do not know, whatever. He leaves from there annoyed. Anjali and Nani are happy by his reaction. Anjali said Did you see the anger in his eyes? Nani says that he was jealous and they have seen one side fire and now they will see another side at the havan.

Guptas are getting ready to go to the RM. Payal bends down Shashi for his blessings. She says that it's her first pooja at her saasural so I want your blessing Bauji. Shashi tries to put his hand on Payal's head but before Garima could help. He is able to do it. Payal has tears in her eyes and Khushi goes to him and hugs him and Garima is watching this with tears of happiness (okay it looked like the CVs wanted to make him get better but forgot along the way. This scene made me cry. It was such a cute and emotional scene).

Arnav is in his room and Anjali comes there. Arnav tells her do not ask him if he is okay? Anjali says that she is not feeling well and Arnav gets worry and is about to call doctor. Anjali says I am fine but I am worried about your marriage and do you he about marriage? I thought you and La were going to get married but (she stopped her thought there). She says what if I am not there for you, who will take care of you and Arnav gets possessive and says nothing will happen to you and Arnav gets emotional. Anjali is sad because her plan fails to make him want to marry and Arnav (thinking her sadness is something) holds her hand that is on his face and says you will never leave me.

Shyam comes there and says there is no guarantee for that. They look confused and said I am here to take her to the havan now. (Shyam does tell the truth to what he is doing but they are not picking up on the double meaning or his creepiness). Anjali said you are too much and leaves from there with her so called faithful husband.

Downstairs, the Guptas were welcomed by the Raizadas. Nani says why did they bring so much, there was no need for all this. Arnav was staring at Khushi and Khushi was staring at him. Akash asks Payal if she is okay. Anjali was like I forgot you two have not seen each other all day but you guys can talk inside. PayAsh blush and go inside. Khushi, who holding the gifts, is broken out of her reverie. She is about to walk when she was about to fall. Arnav was about to save her but NK came and saved her and told her that he will help her. Khushi gives NK the boxes and they leave. Arnav is jealous to see Khushi and NK together.

Nani put oil to the fire and said NK and Khushi looks good together and Arnav says yes both of them are made for each other as both of them are half mad. Khushi stops and listens because she knew he was talking about her. Khushi gets upset and leaves. Nani and Anjali are happy by her reaction and Anjali said Wow!!! the fire is from the both side and they high five each other. HP comes and tells Anjali that Shyam is calling her to the room and Shyam is pacing waitng for Anjali to come. He is holding the perfume that he mixed ether in. Shyam was being super romantic and said he wanted her to wear his favorite perfume he likes on her. He sprays the perfume all over her. He was about to spray more but Anjali said Are you going to use the whole bottle on me and Shyam said he likes this smell (I was not paying attention to what he said). (I am not sure how much ether he poured into the bottle but if he poured the whole bottle and the amount he sprayed on her. She should have been unconscious).

The Panditji comes and asked who the pooja is for. PayAsh takes his blessing and Anjali and Shyam also comes there and mama compliments Anjali for how happy she looks (she is just glowing) and Mami says that she will be happier if Damad ji does not go on another tour. (Conveniently his tour stopped when Khushi found out who he is. So, the day when Khushi was introduced to Shyam by the family. But they don't notice that)

Everyone in the family is happy and preparing for the havan and Anjali is pouring oil for the havan. Shyam said he will help her and tries to pull it from her hands but it on her sari on purpose. She said she will go change because there will be a stain but Shyam stopped her because he likes her in that sari since she is looking so beautiful. NK comes and is recording this sweet (gross) moment.Anjali gets shy and makes NK leave Anjali goes and sits at the havan. There NK is making video of Khushi (making the camera go up and down). Arnav looks annoyed and jealous. NK asks Khushi if that are the same bangles that he helped her chose out. Khushi said No those are at home. NK seemed disappointed and said OK. Arnav is witnessing this and he seemed happy that she did not wear the bangles.

Nani tells Anjali that she wants PayAsh to be in front since it is for them. Anjali was about to answer but Shyam said Rani Sahiba always does the pooja first for every occasion and the havan has started. Anjali tell him it is okay and the havan has not started yet. Shyam relents to them and PayAsh sits up front. Anjali asks Shyam why he is upset and he says he wanted her to be there and she says that she wanted them to get blessings (get a hint Anjali, he has been acting odd all day, That is a lame reason to get upset. But I am happy shyam's plan is going to fail).

Bua was looking through the stuff she brought and finds out they forgot to bring the ghee. She asks Khushi if she did and Khushi does not remember. Khushi offers to go home to get it but Bua ji says that she cannot go alone so late at night. Arnav was about to say he will go with her (why isn't someone so eager to be with Khushi) but NK beats him too it and said I will go with Khushi ji.

Who will go with Khushi to Laxmi Nagar???? Will Arnav put his foot down and take Khushi himself???? Will Khushi in safe hands with NK???? Will Shyam's plan be a total flop???
