This was not supposed to be IPKKND2. It was a entirely different show with a name that was supposed to be different. This show was earlier planned to start at the end of May. But due to a lack of time slot, it was delayed by SP. The promo too was shot few months ago.

It seems that it is not the PH, but the channel that decided to use this title at the last minute. Hopefully, the story is not being changed to force it into IPKKND mould. It was supposed to be a story of this grey character Shlok - a different character than Barun's character of IPKKND.

Newsroom has learnt that the show Astha was supposed to be based on Astha's daily struggle but last minute changes by Star caused Sphere Origins to change the title of the show.Now the show is changed into a romantic comedy so the channel decided to cash in on the Iss Phaar Ko Kya Naam Doon franchise. The show was supposed to be based on Astha's struggle as a woman who still had faith on love but Star Plus creative team churned up the entire concept last month and made it a sequel to popular romantic saga 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon'.

Ya SP has changed the story last month only it seems... The creatives might have planned Aastha as a love story... But seems SP interfered it to make it an intense love-story with a dark hero, to name it IPK2... The team has been putting good efforts from a long time... Gud luck to them...

👍🏼 true!! the actors r not at fault bt this idiot SP😡.. bcoz of them everytym only actors nd d fans have to suffer.. i personally feel if d show's nam would hv been Astha there s a chance for d show to b a hit one.. bt now toh no chance at all.. poor actors!!
