Q4 Who is/was your favourite female character in that show?

Ans - All 3 are great (Drashti, Sanaya and Surbhi)

Q5 Qualities you like in her character?

Ans - bubbly and cheerful

Q6 One thing you do not like about her character?

Ans - Well, most of the serials tend to show over the top comedy and so much selflessness which does not really connect to real life.

Q7 Do you identify with/ relate to this character?

Yes/No

Ans - yes, I'm quite bubbly too!

Q8 If you could live your life exactly in the way your favourite character lives in the show, would you be willing to do it?

Yes/No

Ans - No, not exactly only few things i would love to have.

Q9 Did you learn anything from that character or were inspired by her in any way?

Yes/No

Ans - Yes

Q10 If yes, what did you learn/ how did it change your life?

Ans - All the serials very strongly focus that no matter what problems you face there's always a hidden solution to overcome the trouble. Even though during troubled times we forget that message, the least serials can do is divert our attention from our troubles and make us smile.

Q11 If another character [male/female] in the serial, blames/scolds your favourite female character for no fault of her own, how should she react according to you?

She should listen to the scolding quietly and respectfully.

She should stand up for herself and explain that it was not her fault.

Ans - Definitely the 2nd option (though that happens rarely)

Q12 If you are in the same situation in reality as your favourite female character in the question above, how would you react?

You would listen to the scolding quietly and respectfully.

You would stand up for yourself and explain that it was not your fault.

Ans - Second option again.

Q13 How does your favourite female character dress?

In traditional attire[ Saree/Salwar-kameez]

In western attire

Ans - Khushi /Madhu- traditional

Zoya - Western

Q14 If your favourite female character changes the way she dresses up[ From traditional to western/ From western to traditional] would you still like her as much as you do now?

Yes/No

Ans - yes still the same.

Q15 What is your choice of clothing?

Traditional

Western

Ans - Western

Q16 Have you ever wished that your daughter/ daughter-in-law/mother-in-law or any female relative was like the character in the serial?

Yes

No

Ans - No, not yet, too young for that.

Q17 Have you ever tried to imitate your favourite character in reality? [Sense of dressing, behaviour or talking]

Yes

No

Ans - yes, sense of dressing always! (always had pompoms in my saree blouses)

Q18 Any specific reason as to why you watch a particular serial?

Ans - Just for entertainment.i hope my answers could be of little help to you. This is probably the only way i can give back to the awesome work u've written!

Q1 Do you watch Indian Television soaps?

-Yes, but not a lot. Only watched a few.

Q2 If yes, which is/was your favourite one?

-Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?

Q3 How often do you/ did you watch this show?

Sometimes

Everyday

-Everyday

Q4 Who is/was your favourite female character in that show?

-Khushi

Q5 Qualities you like in her character?

-How she fulfills the meaning of her name completely.

She isn't the perfect daughter, sister, friend, wife, daughter-in-law, mother, etc,
But it's all her little imperfections that makes her so perfect because despite them she tries her hardest to fulfill her role no matter what.
How she practically breathes life, love, and laughter along with everything else no matter how heartbreaking or destructive.
She isn't afraid to be herself.
She is happy, she is sad, she is mad, she is crazy, she is everything. She in herself is a juxtaposition and that makes her who she is.
And my favorite part is that she is such a variety in herself that anyone could find themselves in her, perfections and imperfections all, and I mean anyone.
Her epic-ness as a characters rests in herself as us.
Khushi can be any one of us because she has a little of all of us.<3

Q6 One thing you do not like about her character?

-When she became plain silly and immature opposed to her cute, goofy yet mature when need nature.

Q7 Do you identify with/ relate to this character?

Yes/No

-Yes, sometimes.

Q8 If you could live your life exactly in the way your favourite character lives in the show, would you be willing to do it?

Yes/No

-If you mean how she lives life and faces it then Yes. If you mean in reference to the plot/storyline then No.

Q9 Did you learn anything from that character or were inspired by her in any way?

Yes/No

-Yes

Q10 If yes, what did you learn/ how did it change your life?

-Her fighter attitude, how she never gave up. It inspired me to do the same.

Q11 If another character [male/female] in the serial, blames/scolds your favourite female character for no fault of her own, how should she react according to you?

She should listen to the scolding quietly and respectfully.

She should stand up for herself and explain that it was not her fault.

-That depends on who it is. If it was an elder/someone she deeply respected then she'd chose the first option. But if it was a matter of her respect and dignity she would chose the second.

Q12 If you are in the same situation in reality as your favourite female character in the question above, how would you react?

You would listen to the scolding quietly and respectfully.

You would stand up for yourself and explain that it was not your fault.

-I'd go with the second no matter what.

Q13 How does your favourite female character dress?

In traditional attire[ Saree/Salwar-kameez]

In western attire

-Traditional attire. But for her Arnavji she'll don western as well. ;)

Q14 If your favourite female character changes the way she dresses up[ From traditional to western/ From western to traditional] would you still like her as much as you do now?

Yes/No

-Yes. Clothes represent a person, but they don't define one.

Q15 What is your choice of clothing?

Traditional

Western

-Western, but I love dressing up in traditional. It makes me feel so pretty.

Q16 Have you ever wished that your daughter/ daughter-in-law/mother-in-law or any female relative was like the character in the serial?

Yes

No

-I've never thought about that so No.

Q17 Have you ever tried to imitate your favourite character in reality? [Sense of dressing, behaviour or talking]

Yes

No

-Haha, yes.

Q18 Any specific reason as to why you watch a particular serial?

-If it has a little something that steps away from norm, that makes it unique and everlasting.
Done! :D Hope this helps!

Q1 Do you watch Indian Television soaps?

Presently? No. I did, though.

Q2 If yes, which is/was your favourite one?

Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai and Mahi Way. (I can't choose! So sorry about that!)

Q3 How often do you/ did you watch this show?

Sometimes

Everyday

Everyday(Sarabhai) and every rerun(Mahi Way). :D

Q4 Who is/was your favourite female character in that show?

Mahi Talwar.

Q5 Qualities you like in her character?

She was funny, free spirited, and never let the fact that she was extremely fat let her down. (Okay maybe she did sometimes but she was human!) That, and she had the most creative way of wooing. Also, she was not afraid to be who she was or stand up for what she believed in. Obviously she had some(many hehe) faults but I guess that just made her character more real. Also, I loved the fact that she went straight to Venky's after breaking it off five minutes before her marriage-and that too in her wedding dress. Did I mention she was really funny?

Q6 One thing you do not like about her character?

Aaah, I think I liked everything about her.

Q7 Do you identify with/ relate to this character?

Yes/No

Yes. I'm not even half as awesome, though.

Q8 If you could live your life exactly in the way your favourite character lives in the show, would you be willing to do it?

No. :)

Q9 Did you learn anything from that character or were inspired by her in any way?

Yes.

Q10 If yes, what did you learn/ how did it change your life?

I learnt never to consider my flaws a weakness. That good things happen to you only if you work for them; that happiness is not gifted but earned and that one just cannot have enough chocolate.

How did that change my life? Well, I have a few flaws myself as well. So, while earlier I was almost brought to tears by this joke a few classmates had- "Woh(me) aa gaya" 😆, now I just laugh out loud and play along. "Move over! Aa gaya main!". Because, you know, it's just a joke. Also, I learnt there's some good in everyone. And well the chocolate lesson- should I tell you my weight?

Q11 If another character [male/female] in the serial, blames/scolds your favourite female character for no fault of her own, how should she react according to you?

She should listen to the scolding quietly and respectfully.

She should stand up for herself and explain that it was not her fault.

Q13 How does your favourite female character dress?

In western attire-anything that fits her actually.

Q14 If your favourite female character changes the way she dresses up[ From traditional to western/ From western to traditional] would you still like her as much as you do now?

Yes.

Q15 What is your choice of clothing?

Western

Q16 Have you ever wished that your daughter/ daughter-in-law/mother-in-law or any female relative was like the character in the serial?

No.

Q17 Have you ever tried to imitate your favourite character in reality? [Sense of dressing, behaviour or talking]

Yes if eating counts. Otherwise, no. :)

Q18 Any specific reason as to why you watch a particular serial?

None, really. If it's interesting and sensible enough, I'll watch it.

Q1 Do you watch Indian Television soaps?

These days, not really. But I'll come round if there's a good show somewhere.

Q2 If yes, which is/was your favourite one?

WAS.

IPKKND, Mahi Way, Rishta.Com, Dekh bhai dekh.

Q3 How often do you/ did you watch this show?

Sometimes

Everyday

Q4 Who is/was your favourite female character in that show?

Mahi Talwar from Mahi Way 😊

Q5 Qualities you like in her character?

Everything. But more than anything, I liked the fact that she was a modern girl (which is such a rarity in Indian television these days).

Q6 One thing you do not like about her character?

She was pretty real and believable. Her character was very thought after and well-written. So I would say, her actions made sense and there was nothing I didn't like about her.

Q7 Do you identify with/ relate to this character?

Yes/No

Yes.

Q8 If you could live your life exactly in the way your favourite character lives in the show, would you be willing to do it?

Yes/No

Sure. Life would be quite exciting that way 😃

Q9 Did you learn anything from that character or were inspired by her in any way?

Yes/No

Yes. She was a strong character. I don't know if she inspired ME, but I would like to believe that she was inspiring for everyday she had to face the would and learn how to take jokes made on her account. And yet, she was happy person, who loved herself no matter what :)

Sometimes she had her days, and sometimes, she didn't... just like any of us :)

Q10 If yes, what did you learn/ how did it change your life?

I'm not sure if she inspired me enough to change my life 😕 She was no Jhansi ki Rani if you must know, just a girl who loves to dream.

Q11 If another character [male/female] in the serial, blames/scolds your favourite female character for no fault of her own, how should she react according to you?

She should listen to the scolding quietly and respectfully.

She should stand up for herself and explain that it was not her fault.

And that's why I love Mahi!

Q12 If you are in the same situation in reality as your favourite female character in the question above, how would you react?

You would listen to the scolding quietly and respectfully.

You would stand up for yourself and explain that it was not your fault.

Honestly, that would depend upon the situation.

Q13 How does your favourite female character dress?

In traditional attire[ Saree/Salwar-kameez]

In western attire

In western attire or whatever the situation demands :)

Q14 If your favourite female character changes the way she dresses up[ From traditional to western/ From western to traditional] would you still like her as much as you do now?

Yes/No

Of course. I like her for her character, not for what she wears. For Mahi Talwar, clothes rarely defined her.

Q15 What is your choice of clothing?

Traditional

Western

Western. But I don't mind traditional.

Q16 Have you ever wished that your daughter/ daughter-in-law/mother-in-law or any female relative was like the character in the serial?

Yes

No

Err... not really.

Q17 Have you ever tried to imitate your favourite character in reality? [Sense of dressing, behaviour or talking]

Yes

No

Hmm... Nope. I do sometimes get tempted by what they're eating and feel like eating the same 😕

Q18 Any specific reason as to why you watch a particular serial?

For a good time. It must make sense to me.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?

Q3 How often do you/ did you watch this show?

Everyday

Q4 Who is/was your favourite female character in that show?

Arnav Singh Raizada

Q5 Qualities you like in his character?

ASR is a very complex character. He is introduced as a dark character, arrogant and someone who has no pity for anyone. But as his character unfolds, we see that the man has a heart. I love the fact that he is dark, has attitude, can stand on his feet and doesn't fear anyone but at the same time, shows care, love and can do anything for the ones he loves. His way of loving is violent but he loves intensely. And I love the fact that he puts his family first. Also his naughtiness and cocky behaviour is something to watch out for. ASR is a very different character compared to the usual male protagonists.

Q6 One thing you do not like about his character?

When the man is angry, he can do things which lead to grave consequences which harm others and himself.

Q7 Do you identify with/ relate to this character?

Yes/No

Not really.

I watched IPKKND because it is the most wonderful show I have ever watched with an amazing theme 'Nafrat Paas Aane Na De... Mohabbat Door Jaane Na De. I discovered one of the best characters on Indian Tv, ASR (IMO) Moreover Arnav and Khushi had out of the world chemistry which kept me hooked and made me drool. I like love-hate types stories. And IPKKND is my all-time favourite as I discovered Barun Sobti.
