Firstly, thanks to the DT for making it sticky.

I came across a post which is already closed but I was shocked to see how far that thread had reached before it was closed by the mods. How did it reach 105 pages? I didn't bother to read the comments because I have a pretty clear idea what's in there but what shocked me most is that so many of our forum members spammed that thread. Seriously guys, why did you do that? I know it's hard to put up with but please, don't give them what they want. WHAT THEY REALLY WANT IS REACTION.

Don't respond and keep their posts on the first pages. Wait for the mods to come and close. I hope I never have to see another bashing post crossing 100 pages when relevant posts hardly cross 20. Saraa stated in her note that the thread will be reviewed. Just think about it. They will have to go through all the 105 pages. The least we can do is cooperate with the DT and I doubt the thread would have reached that far if our forum members didn't retaliate.

They hate Sobti and honestly I don't care if they do. Their hate cannot change who he is or his achievements. I know the biggest gripe for us who are still active here is that it makes the place dirty and the comments on our favorites are offensive. But we can't really change people's views. At the end of the day it comes down to personal taste.

There come here seeking attention and they are getting exactly that. They attack, we counter attack and it leads nowhere. It's a vicious circle.

I know they are making posts in other sections of IF bashing Sobti, fangirls, mods, Admins and what not. Apparently, closing down IPK forum and bringing down fangirls is a revolutionary movement. Good luck to that. 👏

PPS: I saw that FC on Barun and Bobby Darling. They think it's funny and in order to insult Barun and rile up his fans, they are mocking another human being too. Sigh. Let's not forget Bobby Darling is a human being too and deserves respect.

Anyway that thread should be closed too because it's full of bashing, mocking and such kind of posts are not allowed on IF.

I am a fangirl of many actors/actresses, but don't think it's necessary to watch every show of his/her's if it does not interest me, and nor, do I mind criticisms about my favorites. each to his/her own. if a day comes when i cannot watch CC i will still keep the TV on for that half an hour and leave.. that is the kind of fan i am..

An Actor is used to his professional and personal life being analyzed to bits, why else would they give interviews if things were meant to be so private. If people can go to great lengths to defend their favorites, then I have all rights to criticize them as well.
criticism, done for the purpose of criticism is fine. Criticism done ONLY to make some1 else annoyed is not.

P.S. - I don't find Barun to be a good actor and think he is quite over-hyped. I don't hate Barun, I dislike him and there is a huge difference between the two.
So sure then it is fine. Before last July when this fan war began it was possible to state what u mentioned quite easily on this forum and not make people bash u personally. cz at that time criticism was there, but no bashing.
I have never wished anything ill on him or his family that is nice of u:-) unlike some of the fan-girls who have cursed/abused and wished death upon my family and friends. I would not have bothered stepping into this forum after the quitting fiasco had my family and friends not been insulted.

sure u can, but there is a limit to being negative. life becomes sad when people spend so much time discussing a negative thing that neither affects their own lives, nor will they be able to do anything to change by being negative towards it.

If fangirls can call Viraf 'giraffe', i don't think fan girls are 'allowed' to call him that on IF anymore. anyway just a question how many of those fan girls still make new topics, discuss in CCs about Viraf? they did it in the heat of the moment! trust me MOST of IPK fans called him giraffe. no it didn't and doesn't make sense to blame an actor for being 'picked' to replace another popular actor. but if i remmeber correctly Viraf himself told that is exactly what he felt when his fav Bond was replaced. why is it a sin if the non-fans call Sobti 'Soaptea'...why so much double standards?...No one is a saint here, so quit with the moral policing bit. no one is a saint, yes, but does it really make ur day by calling some1 who has done nothing to u, this name so many months after the issue was over? i mean sure if u were pissed off with him by quitting by all means 1-2 months i would have understood.. but why spend so much time, energy and thoughts on someone about whom u cannot think 2 good thoughts about!
isn't there anything u like to appreciate about? any actor, a movie or a book u like? isn't it a much pleasing task to spend your leisure time being positive about something?

IPK forum is a public section, and is open to all...you or anyone for that matter cannot stop me from making a comment, whether you like it or not. true.

P.S. - This thread was made a sticky, so was going through the threads when I chanced upon Sunara's post. I chose to respond to her post because like you, I think she is sane and won't jump at my throat for making my views known. 😊 thanks and i hope i lived up to the expectations :-)
