"just two episodes, especially if you take the suv. shut up and sit in the car."

two taut, densely constructed episodes with performances that completely stole the show, brought me to the edge of the tumult and left me in the dark, navigation systems down.

on the final two day of diwali, darkness ascended and seemed to win. the darkness of fear, betrayal, pain, terror, loss within a man.

and the darkness that was the very being of another.

the most fascinatingly designed week of five episodes took us through a range of emotions, tremulous joy to heady excitement, to utter attraction and a heart thudding high, and then now, devastation. beautiful writing, screenplay, direction, music.

and undoubtedly the finest acting( I just looked at SARUN. No wonder IPKKND CVs put so much importance to them. Their acting esp Sanaya's would have been a good answer to those who say why they get importance. It is because they have worked to deserve it).

two people sitting next to each other in an suv cabin, a few dialogues... and this level of communication of a feeling, have i ever seen? has just a slow turn of eyes, or a quiver of a set of lips said so much ever. it felt as though barun sobti and sanaya irani held the air around them in sway with their intense delineation of two people slowly dying, their pain ricocheting off the hard glass panes and metal and wooden surfaces. a feeling of claustrophobia rising.

we have spoken about the genius of the poolside almost kiss scene, but really that scene of the two in his car as he drives her home and
the one where she is going to pieces in her room and he in his sanctuary at the driving wheel, absolute award winning performances. the thing that always strikes me is how real they feel, if there's melodrama it's just up to the point that human beings like us would go to/have gone to in our lives.

and the other thing is that sense of youth, they both feel as young as they are supposed to be, their age seems to inform everything... like that buoyancy in the characters. one minute in the heart of hell, the next day again fighting back, repaired, almost whole. i find that an essential sign of youth, the energy within too high to clam up and descend into permanent grey. there's bright light, there's deep dark, there are streaks of red and blue and green and all the colours of the spectrum, but rarely a dull shade, a shade that feels effete or tired.

diwali was the most powerful week of ipk for me till now. and it was curiously satisfying even though when she said yes to the preposterous marriage i thought all was over.

112

soulful strains of rabba vey started the episode, their pathos seemed deeper thanusual, had to be, look what he had gone and just done... "shadi kar raha hai", getting married... in the dead tense voice. she is looking at him... he is looking at her... the deed is done... he is marrying la... she walks away.

"chamkili tum kahan ja rahi ho.. kya baat ho gayi... you're crying... tum mere liye khush nahin ho?"
life is never easy. just as you are running from the sight of the man who touches and caresses your heart making a lifetime commitment to another, that another will stop you and ask, what's up, honey, where are you going, why're you crying, aren't you happy for me. and you, because you are khushi and have been brought up a certain way, believe in certain things, will have to stop, remember this girl is your friend, not her fault what happened, in fact it was your job to teach her stuff that would make her the ideal wife for him; and you will smile and congratulate her.

and let that smile mask your pain. in fact you'll smile and rejoice so much that only the one that gives you this intense suffering will know, you really are going crazy underneath.

just as he is. but he will hide that behind his habitual taciturn brusqueness.

khushi describes her tears to la as "khushi ke aansoo," tears of happiness. la plays on the word and says, i know, they aren't "lavanya ke aansoo," not la's tears. sad... because those tears will come and and claim their right soon. in his moment of terror, running scared from a feeling, asr had taken a decision that not only didn't consider khushi, it considered no one. not di, not naniji, certainly not la. it was a horrible reflex action that would crash through many lives. the only thing that will mitigate the impact perhaps will be that heart of his, true and pure and usually brave, always honest. just for that maybe la will be able to forgive him. also face the fact, that she herself had refused to look at the truth although soemwhere she knew it all along. (I thought he did to bring the situation in control. And if he had not - Khushi would probably have asked him to. After all she made all the arrangements like making La propose to him and all)

he keeps watching her trying to overcome her feelings and be happy for everyone... when mamiji sneers at the girl offering her sweets from lucknow, "ab hello hi nahi bye bye kareke time hui gawa hai... naahin?" time to say bye bye not hi, he seems to blanch.

he hadn't thought of that.

she is still trying to beat it all with her chirp, rushing to offer sweets to everyone... and she's face to face with him. life will put you through the toughest tests won't it? and even if life relented, love surely wouldn't.(Remembering Jaadu hain Nasha hain song- raasta hain yeh katin par- who knew it would be this hard- that too so soon after they had given up all inhibitions)

the car screeched to a halt behind her. she was startled.

what was he doing here?

khushi went into the happy act once more. she is trying to get above that pain. he glowered at her. grim, lips taut, eyes intense.

"arre aap yahan kya kar rahe hai... ap ko toh..." arre, so shrill and bright, what are you doing here.. you should be-

"gadi mein baitho." sit in the car... grim, dense.

magnificent counterpoint... she is "arre," chirpy and high pitched... he terse, low volume, clipped. both are shades of pain. no one suffers less. only one seems to have the power to create the pain, maybe because essentially, that's all he's got from life, that "bedard" heartless world he spoke of when they met the second time... perhaps that's all he knows how to deliver with expertise.

"mein ghar chhor doonga." i'll take you home.

i will take you home... you are mine, my responsibility, i won't let you wander alone on diwali night, i just need you, can't you see. even if she could, she was too young, too unknowing in these matters to act on that sensing of the situation.

"nahin... hum chale jaayenge." no, i'll go by myself.

"shut up and sit in the car." that familiar rudeness, his right over her. from forever. why, why. does he ever ask himself why it feels ok to speak to her as though she is a part of him? no need for "laukikata," social niceties.

asr music is blasting. he is here. he will do what he feels is right. he will not care what anyone thinks... anger crocheted with desire and a feeling he can't name. he will use his anger to get past this scary feeling. she will try to use her laughter her ability to be happy no matter what. who will succeed. who will die tonight.. the night of decisions, after all.

in the car, a tense silence, they look at each other... such a superbly felt scene, she looks at him first, she has no need to hide her eyes and she hasn't inflicted this pain. i wonder will he look at her. then, so very slowly and with the slightest little movement, he does. he needs to see her. and not only that, he needs to see if she is ok or not, holding up or not... even when he is hurting her like mad. tu hi bata mere maula.

to make the moment bearable if not palatable, khushi rushes into a spiel about how happy she is. oh she is so happy he is marrying, happy about everything everybody, happy happy...

"toh tum khush ho." so you are happy. husky, flat.

if there's one dialogue that meant the episode to me, it was this.

he doesn't believe her of course, but why does he want to push her with this question, what is it he yearns to hear?

"hum bhi toh yahi chahte the..." the smiling one says, that's what i wanted...

"oh really," a deadly drawl. he is freaking out.

so contrary, so male. first you get completely attracted, then you lose control, you are scared stiff, then you do something colossally silly to convince yourself you can handle it, then you are completely mad because she says she is happy for you. kitni koshish he is doing to push her away, but his heart refuses to let him.

complicated. and way too much for this young girl.

"tum yahi chahti thi..." you wanted this, like hell i believe you.

he watches her with her heart breaking plastic smile saying what could be of greater happiness than this... that he and la are getting engaged.

"thodi der pehle tum mujhse kuch poochh rahi thi," a little while back you were asking me something... oh he wants to really give her some more hell, how dare she enter his sanctum sanctorum, his heart... even worse perhaps, his head. his precious prized dimaag. he couldn't think straight. so attractive was she this evening, so pulling him on a string. he couldn't think straight. no!

about what?

about the payal.

oh that... that was nothing... not khaas, "khaas baat toh yeh hai ki jis kaam ke liye hum aaye the... woh ho gaya." oh that's not important, what of consequence is what i came to do is done. yeah, in a funny kind of way it is, isn't it.

"toh tum apne payal ke baare mein nahin jaanna chahti," so you don't want to know about your payal. where that payal story had started, with khushi mentioning it to payal one day i think. then that evening when she came back and her payal stayed on by his pool. and he picked it up later, to look at it for many minutes and never to speak of it again. and now tonight, adroitly it enters frame and becomes a central motif. expert picking up of a note by creatives and making it pertinent just where it fits.

she is not entering this conversation, she prattles on about the impending nuptials... "aap done ki jodi kitni acchi lagti hai," you two will look so good as a couple.

brakes.

"get out."

shut up then, now get out. okay he can stop being so cootchie coo now. censors censors.

hey hey... that sudden interjection cuts into her forced gaiety and dissolves it.

"dekh kya rahi ho... i said get out..."

the realisation they are at her place...

she loses all her chirp, desperate to get out and run away from this grilling. why won't the damn seat belt open? desperate hands try again and again. he unlocks the belt for her... she is torn to shreds inside, no need, no strength to hide any more. he swallows looking at her state, but he leaves.

but there's that bag.

113

na door ja sake yeh, na paas aa sake yeh.

"tumne gadi mein chhor diya that,"

he is at the door. her eyes widen. he has come back with her purse. why, i want to know, why can't he just leave her alone, why this inability? how hard his dil struggles with his dimaag. a heroic battle of titans as it were. all inside him. the smooth gorgeous exterior, the battle scarred interior.

he hands her the purse, eyes still, yet a lick of a flame within. "tumne gadi mein cvhhor diya tha... " a tiredness in his voice.

kaun hai... buaji intervenes. she is delighted to see their benefactor... on diwali night, and what's with khushi, she doesn't speak since her return, but

come in... babua. babua?!!

"namaste," he is meeting her father for the first time, the most important man in her life. how is he, tell me if you need anything... "mujhe chalna chahiye, happy diwali."

her mother prompts her to go see him off.

"shukriya..." thank you she said... shuru kiya, started, la had said i recall.

tension. he stops, clenches his jaws, she's dishevelled within, you can feel it in her gait, her voice, her discomfort.

"humara batwa lautane ke liye..." for returning my purse.

he breaks... you can almost see it. maybe that prim little look on her face, maybe her seeming resilience, something just seems to crush him, and he decides of course turn it all against her, break her that's it. what is this thing in us that makes us hurt the thing we love the most?

"apne cheezen yahan wahan chhorne ki aadat hai tumhe. jaisi apni payal mere pool mein chhori thi... tumhari payal mere paas iss baat ka koi galat mattlab mat nikal lena... yeh mat soch lena ki ek amir aadmi tumhari payal ko apni seene se laga kar baitha tha..."

the tirade builds, stop leaving your things everywhere. like you left your payal by my pool, don't read the wrong thing into your payal being with me...don't think some rich guy was hanging about holding your payal to his heart... oh telling telling words and harsh as hell.

"mujhe iss sab se koi faraq nahin padta..." all these things make no difference to me

and the last blow

"doen't mean a thing."

she remembers him putting on her payal, all the care, the tenderness, the want, the respect, everything... she remembers his lips approaching her... inexorable...

four words wrenched out of her... "koi matlab nahin hai?" the signature dialogue of the last diwali episode.

doesn't mean a thing.

suddenly it struck me, this is the first time in her life she's had this sort of a sexual, sensual, emotional encounter with a man. not his first time, but hers... and this is its denouement... and the first man to make her feel like this is saying this to her... that meant nothing, she means nothing.

"shayad tumhare liye hoga..." maybe for you it is... ah the rich brat act. "tumhe toh laga hoga ki tumhari zindagi ban gayi." you must have thought life's made now. going in for the kill, aggressive, ruthless.

"mere liye uss baat ki, ya tumhari... koi ahmiyat nahin hai." for me that whole thing, and you... neither have any importance.

her eyes flash, stricken by this abject rejection, you as a person are of no consequence to me. the man who was gently putting on her payal, holding her heel firmly not releasing, wanting to kiss her, the man who couldn't stop looking at her, has said she doesn't mean a thing.

rabba ve... tuhi bata mere maula...

she jerks up at the slam of his car door. ( Could just imagine her heart breaking into a million pieces and the one who broke closing the door)

he hated her tears, yet he never could stop giving her these very gifts. pearls dropping, scattering on a cold hard floor. some meetings are telling, and yet you can't predict what they really mean to say.

when payal asked her about her payal, again she remembered. "uss baat ka koi matlab nahin tha, jiji."

she went into her room, a dazed broken girl, and the tears flowed endless. he sat in his car, stone faced remembering her again and again.
caught between pyaar and takraar at a crossroads that seemed impossible to negotiate. tuhi bata played its appeal to maula, to rabba, what is to be done with these lovers that can neither come close nor distance themselves from each other... the tempo increased taking emotions higher. cascade of khushi in his mind, she is sobbing in heartbreak, he can't bear anymore. he stopped the car and agony shot across his face, he closed his eyes and felt all the pain he was trying so hard to keep away from.

he has just gone and killed a beautiful feeling that had started perhaps showing him some dreams. dreams that he had sworn never to see.

he remembered: a tear releasing and falling from her eyes as he announced his intention to marry la; her embracing la and looking at him, eyes moist; her tears just now.

tears only, that were his gift this diwali.

and the darkness played a deadly game. knavery, fraud, scam nothing left out in the game to persuade a middle class family that their girl's honour was at stake if she weren't married off to him. and to force her hand, the using of her weakest spot... her babuji. he couldn't tell her the truth, and so hurt she was, she couldn't read his eyes. the pressure built.

she remembered the payal, the doesn't mean a thing...

"theek hai," ok, she said.

"hum taiyaar hai." i am ready. no, he hadn't been able to break khushi after all, she was made of sterner stuff... yes her heart was broken, but not her sense of duty, not her innate strength. a streak of asr in her too. and i look forward to it the day she asks him what's it to you whether i'm engaged or not. she has taken a decision too. she. is. ready.

a circular pan around her. chakravyuh closing in.

my hope lies in sweets. bina shakkar.
that we heard of the very first day of festival. an excited girl with her special treat for a laad governor that gives her acidity.

what must he have gone through at the party when his sister said, "pata hai yeh khushi jine banai hai.. tumhare liyr... bina shakkar wali mithai." do you know, khushiji has made those sweets for you, without sugar.

and what must he have felt when khushi cut in at gh later,

"nahin, amma, unhe meetha mana hai," no, amma, he's not allowed sweets. her voice urgent, sharp...
unhe meetha mana hai... my husband isn't allowed sweets, in hindi that's exactly how you'd say that too.

who belongs to whom really. does a hurtful decision obliterate pyaar?

sometimes ipk reminds me of a fabulously composed symphony. perfectly released beginnings, a strong melody tying piece to piece moving on, rises and falls, movements, crash of cymbals here and there, strings, percussion, wind all laid in harmony. heart stopping climaxes. i don't know much about classical music, but who hasn't heard beethoven's fifth.
the first episode of ipk was certainly a dha dha dha dhaaan. the dhaaan reverberates through till now till here, you can never forget that pearl string snapping. and today we are passing through a climax which will end on a note of percussion fading to silence just a bit of reverberation knocking the airwaves, dying slowly. all sound will fade till you think it's all over, and then out of nowhere a strain of music in and up and we're back in the middle of a high. must listen to the fifth and find that exact point.

I loved your analysis Indi. My thoughts in pink and I have bolded the line I loved. So more then thoughts I think these episodes as I mentioned contained the most intense ARSHI moments, the very best of Sanaya and Barun's acting and the very best of directions and if I am not mistaken by Arshad Khan because then LM would direct Shyam scenes and the ones with the rest of the family. The car scenes both were briliantly executed and each fraction of a second carried a different emotion which was appropriate for the moment. Arnav's blank face interspaced by those with every emotion and hiding them in the fraction of a second, togather with coming with a stoic answer with another blank face was briliantly executed by Barun. Sanaya on the other hand just brought life to Khushi's character. At that point I doubt anyone thought that we were just watching a show. Khushi's pain seemed personal, her optimism and her courage was palpable and her pain tangible. The emotions were passed strongly across the screen and if Tv persons could come to life that was it. If I had Jumanji I would have gone and hugged Khushi for her pain.

Thanks so much Samin! loved reading you input :) esp in the pink above and the part underlined. This aspect of hers is really interesting the way they sketched her out. She was never developed as crisp as ASR but certain things of her they got right. She is pure of heart and though i'm usually against white or black characters...b/c i think all of us have grey shades to us, it worked her b/c they were showing how her purity contrasted with ASR's darkness. yes Sanaya was amazing in these episodes. I love her comedy but she can pull off these serious scenes better than so many top actresses i've seen.

thanks again Samin for reading and commenting 😊

Episode 111

Diwali Part 3

continue from part2

He takes out the payal from his pocket and deliberately but humbly shows her. She looks at him with riveting emerging feelings with so many questions .His silently offer is circling in her with astonishment as her mother's only sign the one she thought she'd lost he has it but why?. She is completely speechless and he puts the payal around her ankle with his complete right on her but with delicacy ,Is this the same Arnav Singh Raizada for whom"mujhe kissi larki se koi farak nahin padta"[Not a single girl matters to me] is sitting by bowing his head down and giving some girl the feel of being special to him but this is not some girl and he would definitely not do this for anyone else either but its Khushi and for whom he wants to do it to make her feel better ,may be because he wants to lift her fears which she shared with him only and since then he shows concerns or may be its for him as he knows she values his the same way. - AMAZING description Arshi!!

PONDERING CONNECTED DOTS:Its started the day she left the Payal, today he made her wearing payal, later he will give her the bindi and bangles.Aren't these all rituals they are performing now..

Yes they are to show "khushi mein aur tum .Hamesha Na" Khushi completed his stance which he is starting here.Staying together for "Hamesha" which started that day "hum ja rahe hain hamesha keh liye"[ am to Lukhnow for forever]

He gets up and two steps backward, she gets up without leaving her sight which she was missing couple of minutes before when he disappeared but this time with unresolved questions are circling around without thinking anything else.Their eyes met and it becomes unbearable for her so she turned first and then he turns to leave but then after two steps[2 is sexual tension] stops and turns back to her to follow his heart to its Dhakan by putting all the guards down to let go of his shell behind.

His intoxicated looks ,her innocent beauty and these burning desires which were making her with quivering lips with her uneven breathing which is adding fuel to fire for him as he can't or does not want to control these appealing desires of her.He wants her to be closed to him with all of her avatar but just for him.He wants to gulp her glowing beauty, wants to devour her innocence , inhale her essence, taste the nectar for life .- yes he does!

These arousing desires make him step forward and its not hard to understand his intentions as she flusters immediately but anticipates along with him as she is not leaving just like she did not stop him for having his right on her everytime. She steps backward with each of his forward one with the same rhythm which clearly shows him her intentions.

"Jadu hai nasha hai" circles around em with enchanted winds along with arousing waves of hidden desires in the pool of their bodies which is quivering the water in the pool along with flickering lights.👏👏👏He wants to go any length with her at this moment to make it his ,to make it for them to cherish "hamesha.

She hits the wall and he hits her avatar so close to feel her heaping bosoms to lavish her quivering petals which are lusting the intoxicated and liquorish nectar to devour. He caresses her hair from her forehead and then keeps his warm palm on her cheek , she closes her eyes by clutching her saree as she is flushing away with these overflowing heaping desires along with her bosoms with half opened lips as she is craving for it.He holds her other cheek with the gentle but warm breezy touch. They look at each other to get the admired permission as she did not stop him or said "no" and he took that cue as a "yes" which weakens her with closed eyes along with his hazel liquorish ones which are having firm focus on her rosy petals.

Pause here: All this time his one eye was covered with Khushi as always "eye of Horus""He is her protector"regardless what ever will be outcome of this he is going to be besides her.

And there it is a phone ring ,a circle of waves to shun their intimate act at this moment.

If Aman [ want to kill him if he ever comes in front of me] would've called imagine this act would've been ended where.hmmm'''.The Act of the moment of inflated desires is now startled them from their traumatic yet beautiful charisma which is going to get nastier each second.-- ok you acchhi bacchi didn't expect this from you, Indi thought it would also go all the way but for some reason i think she would've or he would have stopped before it gets that far, she has too many traditional values and their relationship is not where it is bachelor night. with all that said, like i told Indi, if that were the case, we hate Aman even more 😆

PONDERING CONNECTED DOTS: He held her close when she called him "character Dheela" felt her and since then he loses his control for her proximity. That day it was due to his anger but after that it was simply attraction which has become an arousing desire now.

ASR is back with closed eyes but with fears and shattering disbeliefs how he could let anyone allow to break his shell to make him that weak.He needs to walk away from there with his armored walk.

Khushi, "yeh kya hua... hum iss tarah kaise? aur... arnavji ke paas humari payal? matlab kya hua iss sab ka... humain pata lagana hoga... poochna hoga ."

Translation: what happened ?... how can I?... and my payal is with arnavji? what is the meaning of all of this... I have to find out... I will have to ask. she wants to know about the payal, but above all..." woh sab."

ASR in his weak and vulnerable atate," "kaise kar sakta hoon main yeh... kya ho gaya tha mujhe... kyoun... kyoun kamzore padh gaya main."

Translation:How can I do this... what happened to me... why did I become weak.[weak in love MR Yummylicious]

He avowed for not letting any woman matter to him or come even close to his heart.Near the window, finding his calm and strong shell but here she is with her determination to seek answers of her questions which are bothering her since couple of days and this is the moment she wants confirmation not other than anyone else but him as he is the answer himself but for the sake of peace of his inner turmoil he leaves her there baffled.[I wish she did not go there to seek answer right away as his storm needs time to settle down but it was meant to be that way totally my POV] - I know alot of people feel that way, but if was her, i would want to know. and its not like if she gave him time he would be any different. later when he goes to drop her, he is ready to talk about it and its pretty much so he can tell her she means nothing, thats just my opinion.

Symbolism:10 glasses on the table and Arnav and Anjali is in the frame.10n represents the divine forces of the universe and the harmony of the matter and God is creating its ways to protect these souls as horus is not only protector of Khushi but Anjali also. All this happened for good.[uski raza se]DM signs'.

Amazingly when Anjali rearranged these we have 5 glasses visible and 5 is for harmony and divine forces also.Too good

This time she follows him for her answers as couple of minutes he was doing so.She finds him in their eternal heaven,he knows this sehar ,this whispering steps in his heart just needs to pretend but if she let be.

Khushi," "hum jaante hain ki iss waqt aap phone pe nahin hai..."

Translation: I know you are not on the phone, she said standing behind him with uneven breath circled with intensity and worrisome.

Khushi,"humain aapse kuch baat karni hai," [I need to talk to you.]

Arnav with his classic firmness,"mujhe tumse koi baat nahin karni," [I don't want to talk to you,]

Khushi with her determination and persuasion "karni padegi.. aapko humari payal kahan mili.. kabse yeh aapke paas hey.. aur.. aapne humain pehle wapis kyoun nahin ki.. sirf aaj hi kyoun"

Translation: Tell me, where did you get my payal and why didn't you return it to me before and why only today? Today she wants real answers and only from him who just gulped down every word of her quietly and obstinately

Khushi,"bataeye--- jawab dijiyeh... ," [ tell me, answer me] she is persistent and assertive.

Arnav, 'Eik baar kahi hui baat tumhe samajh nahin aati hai? just leave me alone"

He attacks with his nastiness... [don't you understand first time when told]
"In fact, tumhari shaqal bhi nahin dekhni hai...aur na baat suni hai do you understand." [In fact, I don't want to see your face or hear you, do you understand? ]
Khushi with deep hurt at his remarks but still insistent with steadiness,

Khushi,"nahin understand... aap samjhaiye humain,"[ I don't you make me understand]

Arnav"nikal jaao yahan se..." [get out of here..].

He wants to leave... she advances to stop him.[my older one does that every time when I am angry and want to leave his room lol] 😆She is getting angrier along with him and as whenever she gets upset to seek answers she asks too many questions .How can she let him go after whatever happened.Transformation of burning desires to determination and from there now turning it to bitter agitation.

Khushi,"humne kaha samjhaiye humain... bataiye kyoun aapne humari payal apne paas rakhi... kyon ab tak wapis nahin ki.. iss sab ka kya matlab hai..."

Translation: I said make me understand... tell me why did you keep my payal... why didn't you return it before.. what's the meaning of all this? You can hear the glare in her voice'.and then suddenly loses the intensity "aur wo sab," [and all that?]

"aur usska jo kuch dair.pehle..." [and that which a little while ago...]

Pause here:I WISH SHE NEVER SAID THAT my pov it might be a different outcome as she is perplexed as he is but her consistently pushing his buttons worsen the whole thing which rolled him towards his nasty and hasty decision of marrying La.

Arnav's half turned away face now gets that glare from these two words and becomes untolerable for him

"I said just leave me alone..." He is weakening now and he needs to do something to stop her and by stepping forward grabbing her tightly with gritted teeth and biting words and hiding his weakness for her in anger

"Ab Eik shabd bhi bola na toh..." [
If you say one more word now]

Her pain and rolling tears in her eyes... his pain and staring with glare melts him, shatters him and he releases her with closed yet painful and inconsolable eyes as he can't see her crying and above all he can't meet her eyes today.. Rabba Vey circles more pain in the surroundings of this eternal heaven. Two soul mates in pain with longing for each other but whose fault is here ,no ones in my POV ,it meant to nbe like that as they both are right and wrong in their own ways.

Khushi, "aap iss tarah bina humara sawal ka jawab diye nahin ja sakte."[ you can't leave like this without giving me an answer]

Arnav"jawab? mujhe tumhe koi jawab dene ki zaroorat nahin hai..." [answer? I don't need to give you any answer] and he leaves without giving answer

❤️ this edit

But he left being decisive as he has to stop this tidal wave from reaching to shore and this was his decision to marry La...The girl who he refused to marry just a while ago in front of Di and Naniji and now he is saying what they want to hear "Shaadi kar rahe hain" [we are getting married] to just push Khushi out of his life who was making him "kamzor" weak but did he get stronger by saying that "no" as he is not meeting anyone eyes here - nice point, something to think about!

can't see or enjoy their happiness for him either as his yearning eyes are screaming for one and only one and that is Khushi on the other side of that glass window whose small world again collapsed as she saw him ,heard him with his mysterious action which is impossible for her to understand why did he do that.

A man who aroused her feelings up to this level ,kept her payal, gave her that much respect by putting it on her , flushed himself against her and now this...She is unable to connect dots as only one dot she can connect she is no one here and he was playing along as "character Dheela" but she does not feel that way for her as her Mind Vs Heart war is so on just like him.

Now he is marrying with her friend and the whole family is happy how can she do anything to hurt these people who she loves so much ...What a night where his eyes never left her in passion or in abhorrence ,If ASR is back so is Khushi with tears...which always make him "Kamzor" weak!

Episode PART 111-112

Continue Diwali PART 4

What a night!? a girl who felt the amorous touch of her beloved first time and got an annulment as well on the same night but not the first time [as he is being doing that for a while].,the night for which she dressed up in red saree and prepared sweets ,lit brightness around but her own "choti si Duniya"[her small life] couldn't get a glimpse of it and became more darker.

What a night? When he knows he is wrong"galat" as his eyes are quivering ,cursing and blaspheming him each time by her shattering sight. But Arnav Singh Raiada ko kissi larki se koi fadak nahin padta 'nahin' main galat nahin hoon'..to keep his control intact.

Translation:Not a single girl matters to me'I am not wrong.

PONDERING CONNECTED DOTS:

He left her that night in the rain for punishing her making him lose himself against red beauty and first time felt he was wrong"galat".

He left her in the middle of the road by splashing muddy water because she was successful dodging ASR for Aarti ,and being "galat" [wrong] roamed around by calling her name.He threw her in the middle of the road for pushing her out of his Dimag[mind] where she stirred his strings to make him "kamzore" [weak]to beat up those goons and being wrong ended up putting his protective hand on her.Tonight there is no difference he is shoving her aside by crushing hearts hers and himself too as she completely tranquilized and weaken Arnav Singh Raizada's Dimag[mind] and shattered into pieces his Armored shell which took years to build. How can she do that?"Nahin Arnav Singh Raizada ko kissi larki se koi fadak nahin padta"[No ,not a single girl matters to me]

Thats' wickedly awsome!

Is that so then why you can't look away ?Why her tears are still making you "kamzore"[weak] Why this time you want to become weak to hold her desperately as you can't see her shattered but no "itna kamzore nahin hai Arnav Singh Raizada'..Keh eik Larki keh khiyal ko na nikal sake"[No ASR isn't weak that he can't stop thinking about one girl]

But she is not just a thought anymore She is REALITY'which Arnav Singh Raizada does not want to face as he is weak in my eyes'..as this journey of his towards regaining control is going no where'.. So a pure "PEARL' is thrown away again''.

Lets take two steps back Arnav Singh Raizada ,from inveigle state to frightened one ,you were ready to take those scrumptious ,luscious, heavenly, quivering lips in yours with command and you wanted her to look at you while doing that as you stroke her hair and she was ready to give in as she looks back at yours in your response ,in her innocence without even realizing it but you both came back to REALITY for say but you were still in that stance as you took steps back keeping your gazes at her as it was the moment you wanted to show her "tum se fadak padta hai mujhe"[you matters to me] as in evidence you stayed there in that delusional state and then gave her back that intense look after seeing her state as your heart says "you do matter to me ..but I'm sorry [I know tumhain yeh sab shaadi se phele" is reflecting here some where] because Arnav Singh Raizada can't be weak in Love.

Pondering connected Dots:But his heart beat will stop when she will be someone's else just like the Rangoli day and that day "mujhe fadak padta hai kyuonkeh.."[It matters to me] is not far away'- yep, even now it all matters, she matter but he just has to say that she doesn't, that's why he drops her home...but still tell her she means nothing.

[The same way he will realize "yeh kya kar raha hoon mein "'.with La]

Love of Khushi will be his biggest strength of all as she will be standing right besides his mother where he couldn't place anyone else not even Di.Mother's garden.

What a night? where his eyes never left her in passion or in abhorrence ,If ASR is back so is Khushi with tears...which always make him "Kamzor" weak!...Unbearable pains for both of them,If its hard for her to leave so is impossible for him to watch her going away.If her steps are refusing to leave him ,his pondering eyes are doing the same.Seriously iss pyar ko kya naam doon''..

Khushi in gripping agony says to La,"Aap ne jaisa chaha'jise chaha aapko mila" in return of her asking twice.."tum mere liyeh Khush tou ho na".Khushi as usually hiding her pain behind her strength "smile" but today even smile is not getting any light from this night "I am so happy for you" '.."Bas yeh soch kar ajeeb lag raha hai keh ab aap ko humari zaroorat nahin padegi" [Its strange you won't need me anymore] How beautifully she declared her success in La' win but La can't get this as its Khushi not her he is announcing to be with'..Khushi gives her assurance by hug and with a broken smile for herself behind tears'..which are shedding on someone's heart. But I love this girl here as her cold attitude and ignorance now making him to seek the real Khushi behind this mask as no one can fool The Mighty ASR.Love the taste of your own meds now. -😆 well said!

Pause here:"yeh tou Khushi keh aansoo hain Lavanya keh aansoo tou Lavanya ki ankhon mein honge".[yes these are Khushi's tears because La's tears will in la's eyes] Future indication '

Earlier gloated behavior changes into regret now.He just gulps down her unanswered painful questions which are flowing through her tears but there is a hint of surprise '"kiss mitti ki bani hai yeh" [what kind of girl is that]as she is delivering sweets under smilely mask of vivacious and chirpy KKG.He was seeking he real Khushi behind the mask. His astonishment changes into perplexity when Mamiji indicates Khushi's last day at work. She will not be here anymore'.hmmm

Love mamiji here ,her salvo hits him badly'

Khushi keeping her chin up,"hum apne kam mein safal huwe'ab humain yahan se'.[I am successful in my task and now from here'] ends up in front of him as she wants answers as "nahin understand"'.but'..got a long pause as million questions and answers were explored in this stance facing each other bidding goodbye'..and now its unbearable for her to be "kamzore" [weak] in front of this 'Rakshus'LaadGoverner'.her Arnavji'.and she leaves giving him the taste of her "meve ka halwa" which she made only for Arnavji'.[not for Rakshus or LG] but through Anjali regardless of the reminder by La "ASR does not eat sweets".

Pause here: Khushi did fool everyone but Arnav while freezing in front of him and he wanted so alone time with her at that moment'..and at the top she gets more chirpier when Arnav found out she made special sweets only for him which showed him the extent of Khushi's concerns and care for him.[at this point he knows she loves him]The expression on Arnav's face when Khushi leaves without even looking at him ..closing the door of paradise on his face!-- In maroon, i feel he know she loved him in nainital when he was taking care of her and then again tonight because how she cried after he broke the news, this scen may make him feel worse about what he is doing to her though

And that makes Arnav to leave for her to seek answers now and of coarse for her safety but with ASR BG score..But time and tides waits for none.as when answers were needed he was mum'and when he wanted to give answers permission was not granted'..[love her for that]

''from The thrill and happiness which brings Anjali to her Slouchy Rajkumar whose stingy back is waving with slickness to attack as "Khushiji will not come in RM anymore"

from the Family who wants to arrange the marriage as quick as possible but how can he ?its just a decoy ,no one can understand just like Khushi"nahin understand"

Pause here:Our Slouchy Scorpion is being cupid here as he calms the family one more time by favoring Arnav and buying time for him.I wanted him punished so badly by man handling two important assets of ASR'Anjali and Khushi''but my wish never came true.

Khushi with her tiny steps with distance of mileage in her mind with "nahin undrstand" to connect the dots [as she knows he has fallen for her and now is behind the mask]'and here he joins in to increase these distances more.

Pause here:Love the exchange of looks here as she asks him what the heck you are doing here and he is saying how can I leave you like that'.So hubby and wifey look'

Khushi with agony behind smile," aap yahan kya kar rahe hain..aapko tou ghar pe'.[What are you doing here.you should be at home'..]

Arnav by cutting her in a firm tone ,"sit in the car '.I'll drop you home"

ASR BG score with higher notes mingling intensity along with their yearning and pain by pushing each others away.

Khushi avoidingly,"nahin '.hum chale gyenge"[No I will go by myself]

Arnav imperviously and unyielding practicing his right ,"Shut up and sit in the car'"

Tonight he wants to push her way far by breaking her completely but her safety is still upmost duty for him as this is his right too'.what a night and what a man?He opens the door and waits for her and she listens and follows. From Nainital he owns her and she obeys.BG score changes in their meeting notes'.

Both of em stealing gazes in this awkwardness .Khushi with perplexity,"I forgot to congratulate you'..Congratulations for your engagement with La"

Khushi by keeping chin up"hum bohat khush hain'.[I am very happy]

Arnav with taunting notes,"tou tum khush ho.."[so you are happy]

Khushi with enigma, "are hum khush kyuon nahin honge .hum bhi tou yahi chate thay"[why shouldn't I be happy?

I always wanted that..]

Arnav mockingly and sarcastically , "oh really so you wanted this'..

Khushi trying diverting the subject,"Why wouldn't be I happy'.and its good you are leaving me home'Amma and Bauji will be happy to hear that too'." He can feel the complexity of her pain as she wants to be with her parents and it brings one layer on his face but he is on mission to gain control of ASR over Arnav so he does not stop there.

Arnav pinning her down to find the answers ,"Todi dair phele tum Khuch pooch rahi theen'..apni payal keh bare mein"[you were asking me about your payal ]

Khushi with affliction and throes and trying hiding the severity of it,"Oh ! that ..that is nothing]

How could a man be like this cold and shrewd on a mission to shatter a girl like this.He knows it matters to her as he has seen this in her eyes ,he has felt that in her every move and even her heart beat says that but he is adamant to make her realize that it matters to me or not but it does matter to you , because she is the one who could break the shell of ASR and because she has guts to ask and corner him with "nahin understand'samjhaeye humain"[I don't understand .make me understand] the MIGHTY ASR had no answer'..hmmm'..not so shatir in my eyes.. - thats exactly why i love her questioning after the kiss-miss, its in her character. she simply won't just put up with anything

Arnav by taking and digging daggers in hearts,"tout um apni payal keh bare nahi janna chahti"[so you don't want to know about your payal]

Khushi in abhorrence avoiding and diverting his questions purposely being deaf about the matter,"Naniji ne tou kaha keh roca hoga aur bohat jaldi shaadi hogyegi'..Lavanyaji tou bohat khush hongi..aur waise bhi aap dono ki jori kitni aachi lagati hai'.

Translation: Naniji said your wedding rituals will be soon with marriage and above all you and La look so good together]

Arnav by halts the car vehemently ,"Get out"

Khushi silently in perplexed state keeps staring at him'..

Arnav commandingly," dekh kya rahi ho'.I said get out"[What are you looking at I said get out]

Khushi looks at him helplessly which provides him power as he thinks regardless internally he is shattering more than her but his blatant actions are helping him in this mission to keep her away .

She looks out side and realized her destination has arrived during the web of deception she was weaving,He did bring her home unlike last times ,[loop is closing here he will never leave her abandoned] He helps her removing her belt but not her saree"s palu and she steps down crying bitterly as she can't be strong anymore ,the mask slips away showing aching and broken Khushi, and her "kamzori" is making him strong. He with his coldness just keeps watching her un grappling her Dupatta[sarees palu] which always wants his proximity. As Khushi tugs to free herself , Arnav watches Khushi's raw face, A denuded face of deception, A face reflecting her love for him, A face reflecting her despair, her affliction at the news of his hovering engagement with La ...He had come in search of answers.. and he got one !!

She runs her home with her choti si duniya filled with tears and she knows more is awaiting for her at home too''.but his eyes are not willing to leave her yet '. [This Tycoon does not deserve her but he is in the same pain as she is or may be more .my heart goes for both but today Khushi's tears are making me to punish him] - you know i must come to my man's rescure, plz don't punish him, he punished himself by pushing her away. think about the silver coins, remember how nice he was?😃..so you won't punish him? good :)

PONDERING CONNECTED DOTS:Today he is furious to return her wallet but he will be glad to have an opportunity to see Khushi and tell "haq hai .tumhara.mujh par"[You have full right on me]

What a night? where his eyes never left her in passion or in abhorrence ,If ASR is back so is Khushi with tears...which always make him "Kamzor" weak!..Just like now he was gulping the pain while watching her coldly and shrewdly...

Pause here: His cold attitude and her tearing apart needs a standing ovation'.Barun and Sanaya..hats off to you guys along with entire team.👏👏👏

"how long does it take to reach heartbreak, bataiye hume?"
"just two episodes, especially if you take the suv. shut up and sit in the car."

two taut, densely constructed episodes with performances that completely stole the show, brought me to the edge of the tumult and left me in the dark, navigation systems down.

on the final two day of diwali, darkness ascended and seemed to win. the darkness of fear, betrayal, pain, terror, loss within a man.

and the darkness that was the very being of another.

the most fascinatingly designed week of five episodes took us through a range of emotions, tremulous joy to heady excitement, to utter attraction and a heart thudding high, and then now, devastation. beautiful writing, screenplay, direction, music.

and undoubtedly the finest acting.

two people sitting next to each other in an suv cabin, a few dialogues... and this level of communication of a feeling, have i ever seen? has just a slow turn of eyes, or a quiver of a set of lips said so much ever. it felt as though barun sobti and sanaya irani held the air around them in sway with their intense delineation of two people slowly dying, their pain ricocheting off the hard glass panes and metal and wooden surfaces. a feeling of claustrophobia rising.

we have spoken about the genius of the poolside almost kiss scene, but really that scene of the two in his car as he drives her home and the one where she is going to pieces in her room and he in his sanctuary at the driving wheel, absolute award winning performances. the thing that always strikes me is how real they feel, if there's melodrama it's just up to the point that human beings like us would go to/have gone to in our lives.

and the other thing is that sense of youth, they both feel as young as they are supposed to be, their age seems to inform everything... like that buoyancy in the characters. one minute in the heart of hell, the next day again fighting back, repaired, almost whole. i find that an essential sign of youth, the energy within too high to clam up and descend into permanent grey. there's bright light, there's deep dark, there are streaks of red and blue and green and all the colours of the spectrum, but rarely a dull shade, a shade that feels effete or tired.

diwali was the most powerful week of ipk for me till now. and it was curiously satisfying even though when she said yes to the preposterous marriage i thought all was over.

112

soulful strains of rabba vey started the episode, their pathos seemed deeper thanusual, had to be, look what he had gone and just done... "shadi kar raha hai", getting married... in the dead tense voice. she is looking at him... he is looking at her... the deed is done... he is marrying la... she walks away.

"chamkili tum kahan ja rahi ho.. kya baat ho gayi... you're crying... tum mere liye khush nahin ho?"
life is never easy. just as you are running from the sight of the man who touches and caresses your heart making a lifetime commitment to another, that another will stop you and ask, what's up, honey, where are you going, why're you crying, aren't you happy for me. and you, because you are khushi and have been brought up a certain way, believe in certain things, will have to stop, remember this girl is your friend, not her fault what happened, in fact it was your job to teach her stuff that would make her the ideal wife for him; and you will smile and congratulate her.

and let that smile mask your pain. in fact you'll smile and rejoice so much that only the one that gives you this intense suffering will know, you really are going crazy underneath.

just as he is. but he will hide that behind his habitual taciturn brusqueness.

khushi describes her tears to la as "khushi ke aansoo," tears of happiness. la plays on the word and says, i know, they aren't "lavanya ke aansoo," not la's tears. sad... because those tears will come and and claim their right soon. in his moment of terror, running scared from a feeling, asr had taken a decision that not only didn't consider khushi, it considered no one. not di, not naniji, certainly not la. it was a horrible reflex action that would crash through many lives. the only thing that will mitigate the impact perhaps will be that heart of his, true and pure and usually brave, always honest. just for that maybe la will be able to forgive him. also face the fact, that she herself had refused to look at the truth although soemwhere she knew it all along.

he keeps watching her trying to overcome her feelings and be happy for everyone... when mamiji sneers at the girl offering her sweets from lucknow, "ab hello hi nahi bye bye kareke time hui gawa hai... naahin?" time to say bye bye not hi, he seems to blanch.

he hadn't thought of that.

she is still trying to beat it all with her chirp, rushing to offer sweets to everyone... and she's face to face with him. life will put you through the toughest tests won't it? and even if life relented, love surely wouldn't.

the car screeched to a halt behind her. she was startled.

what was he doing here?

khushi went into the happy act once more. she is trying to get above that pain. he glowered at her. grim, lips taut, eyes intense.

"shut up and sit in the car." that familiar rudeness, his right over her. from forever. why, why. does he ever ask himself why it feels ok to speak to her as though she is a part of him? no need for "laukikata," social niceties.

asr music is blasting. he is here. he will do what he feels is right. he will not care what anyone thinks... anger crocheted with desire and a feeling he can't name. he will use his anger to get past this scary feeling. she will try to use her laughter her ability to be happy no matter what. who will succeed. who will die tonight.. the night of decisions, after all.

in the car, a tense silence, they look at each other... such a superbly felt scene, she looks at him first, she has no need to hide her eyes and she hasn't inflicted this pain. i wonder will he look at he
r. then, so very slowly and with the slightest little movement, he does. he needs to see her. and not only that, he needs to see if she is ok or not, holding up or not... even when he is hurting her like mad. tu hi bata mere maula.

to make the moment bearable if not palatable, khushi rushes into a spiel about how happy she is. oh she is so happy he is marrying, happy about everything everybody, happy happy...

"mere liye uss baat ki, ya tumhari... koi ahmiyat nahin hai." for me that whole thing, and you... neither have any importance.

her eyes flash, stricken by this abject rejection, you as a person are of no consequence to me. the man who was gently putting on her payal, holding her heel firmly not releasing, wanting to kiss her, the man who couldn't stop looking at her, has said she doesn't mean a thing.

rabba ve... tuhi bata mere maula...

she jerks up at the slam of his car door.

he hated her tears, yet he never could stop giving her these very gifts. pearls dropping, scattering on a cold hard floor. some meetings are telling, and yet you can't predict what they really mean to say.

when payal asked her about her payal, again she remembered.

Indi!, wow!! you never seize to amaze. First you understanding then your ability to express it in writing is just brilliant. i'm not just saying that, truly its a gift. loved the entire thing. Esp the "bina shakkar" part towards the end, i also see a glimse of hope there, and also in the way he acts like a total hubby greeting her father and offering anything to help. loved you comparison to composed symphony :)👏👏 Barun and Sanay were simply brilliant, they deserve all the awards!

why there is too much pain in his love!
"you mean nothing" the afflictive words of Arnav caused a debacle in her heart. But he is incorrigible, no way he is not ready to accept that he is in love with khushi. isn't it surreal that a person can be so complex, so obdurate! but what is her fault? she was so happy for the past few days! the diwali also started with laughter and happiness, but why it ended like a devastating storm! she couldn't salvage anything to move on. First she got rejection from the man she loved for the very first time. then got victimized by the devil shyam and butchered by the inexorable buaji.

Khushi opens the door and on the door there is no other but Arnav. she is shocked to see him. He is also restless like her, so he came to see her again. He gives her the wallet back, "you left it in the car." When buaji sees him, she cordially invites him inside and as usual scolds Khushi to make him stand outside. Arnav changes his expression immediately, he refuses to get inside, but can't antagonize as buaji requested him ardentlty. Buaji introduces him with Garimaji. Garimaji humbly requests him to have sweets. But Khushi intervenes, "he can't have sweets." Arnav looks at her with a jolt, there is a question in his eyes,"mera itna fikar!" When Arnav sees babuji, he moves forward to greet him. he asks, how is his health. Amma answers, he is convalescing. Arnav tells them, "if you need anything just let me know."
(pause: what a nice gesture of him. It means he thinks Khushi's family is his own. then why you are denying that you love and care Khushi. how much prove you will show to the poor girl that she does faraq to you.)

Arnav bid bye and wishes them happy diwali. His gaze is still stuck at Khushi. Amma tells khushi to see him off. Arnav was rushing to his car when Khushi calls him "shukriya." Arnav stops, may be he is thinking "thanks for what". She takes a little time and tells him ,"for returning my wallet." Arnav got the excuse to protrude the issue, "apne cheesze yaha woha chorne ki tumhari adat hai. jaise tum tumhari payal mere pool side mei choda tha.tumhari payal mere pas thi iska koyi galad matlab math nikalna. e math sochna ke ek amir admi tumhari payal ko apne sine se lagakar baitha tha. Mujhe e sabki koi pharak nahi padta. It does means nothing.
translation: It's your habit to leave your stuff here and there. that's how you left your anklet by my pool side.your payal was with me, so don't misunderstand that a rich guy kept your payal close to his heart. it doesn't make any difference to me.
they look at each other sternly.
Khushi recollects how he put the payal around her ankle.
She repeats after him in abhorence, 'koi matlab nahi hai, it doesn't mean nothing!"
Arnav says scathingly
"shayad tumhare liye hoga. tum he to laga ki tumhari zindegi ban gayi, mere liye tumhari aur uss baat ki koi ahimyaat nahi hai.
translation: it may be important to you.you thought your life has set. there is no importance of you and that thing in my life.
pause: yeah sure, that's why you ran to her home to return her wallet and saying the words, she didn't even ask to know.
Arnav moves to her, what makes her step back. A scorching pain is burning her heart.
sad rabba vey intensifies her pain.t uhi bata mere maula starts in the BG.
Arnav huddles fast from their patio, gets in the car and bangs the door shut. Khushi jolts hearing the bang. He looks at him forlornly, can't understand the reason of his asperity.Tears start to roll down from her eyes.
She saunters slowly, holds a a column and slides down. Tears are coming out from her eyes involuntarily. Payal comes and asks whether Arnav gone or not. Khushi hides her tears from her and tries to act normal. payal notices the anklet on her foot, "where and when did you get it? why didn't you tell me?" the repercussion takes Khushi to the pool side scene, where Arnav put the payal and next his words, it doesn't mean anything. She answers with suppressed emotions in her voice, "uss bath ka koi matlab nahi hai.(it means nothing).
She runs inside her room.
Tuhi bata mere maula starts in the BG depicts the turbulent state of her mind. Excruciating pain has enveloped around her.
"na pass a sake naa door ja sake
pyaar inko khiche takrar inko roke."
she is crying incessantly.her pain is indecipherable. She is feeling she is completely mortified.
"iss pyar ko kya naam doon"
On the other side, Khushi's teary eyes reverberating in Arnav's mind.He stops the car and leans his head on the seat. he is in the turbulent ocean of pain. The divulge of guilty feelings is gnawing at his heart.

Shyam wants to go somewhere. but his mother like wife 🤣is insisting to go along with him. how the swindler can take her with him. he is going to accomplish his mission to get married Khushi. He calls someone and instructs to do all the arrangement. later we will know what arrangement he was talking about.

It seems like buaji will get her peace after taking Khushi's life. She is blabbering and screaming at Khushi, "sanka devi closed the door without agreeing for marriage. you can't get a good guy like shyam. " Buaji 's incessant pressure irks Payal too. she is a caring sister, she can see how vulnerable she is. She tries to make buaji understand. Amma also is trying to defend Khushi. But buaji is tenacious, she even starts to scold her pyaari payaliya. Honestly I am more pissed off on buaji than Shyam.

Buji's pyaare shyam comes at the spur of the moment. Buaji becomes delectable to see him, "shyam bahua you came! diwali was so dull without you."The devil feed her sweets. plz buaji marry Shyam and spare our innocent khushi.😡😆

Shyam came with his next plot. so he is in the process to implement it. he says buaji to check the light out. When buaji goes there, she hollers, "hai re nand kisore!" everybody rush out to see what's the matter. they sees Khushi and Shyam's name is written in a heart on the wall. so this is the arrangement what Shyam was talking about. Insidious Shyam concocted this to push the family to the edge.He is now on his next move. he screams and gathers the people. People might didn't notice it. but he is calling the people to defame khushi. I can't believe that a human being can be so heinous! including bua the rest of the family want to leave the matter. but the nefarious guy wants to let the people know about him and Khushi. The neighbors seem know nothing about shyam and Khushi. So obviously it's not their job, but evil Shyam's plan.

When the rest of the family was outside Shyam comes inside to manhandle babuji. First he gives him a mocking smile and says derisively,"If i would know who did this heinous act" he stops and twist his words,"to itna choti harkat bada kam kar jate he mausaji (sometimes some trivial thing matters to complete big thing.)" Babuji looks at him grimly. if he could he would smash his face. but poor guy unable to do or say anything.

Buaji gotta chance to lacerate Khushi. She bangs khushi's door makes her open it, "what happened buaji?" Buaji vehemently drags her out and shows her what is written on the wall. Amma is trying to stop her, "what is her fault?" I can see the difference between amma and bua. Payal also feeling bad. she also agrees her amma. But buaji has become relentless today. she has planned to slaughter the poor girl. she begins her tirade, "faisla na karne ki galti. apne amma-babujiko parwa na karne ki galti. tumhare babauji ki dil mei kya beeth rahi he iss bath ko na samajh ne ke galti.
Khsushi is in convulsion. Buaji is deranging her completely. she is repugnant what to do.
Pause: buaji, how cum you are so ungrateful! a young girl who is trying so hard to earn for the family, to make them happy, you are accusing her that she doesn't care her parents! Shyam is so important than your niece!
she is blaming khushi, "dekho tumhari mauno brat ki karan kitna badnami ho rahi hai.(see how disgrace we have to face because of your silence.there is no place left to hide our face.)

where back in the room Shyam is farcing a sweet in babuji's mouth, "diwali mubarak ho uncleji" when bauji starts to gasp, shyam screams, "what happened uncleji?" hearing his scream all of them come inside to check. They get panicked. Buaji again puts the blame on Khushi. she starts her tumult,
because of you, your father is getting ill. moreover so much disgrace, people are mocking at us.
what do you want to do? you just can't do a little thing for babuji. the whole family ruined because of you."
Khushi is ebbing in riot of emotions. she is tremulous in fear massaging her dad's leg.
Amma is feeling bad for the poor soul "why are you after her jiji?"But buaji is obdurate. she is still putting all the blame to khushi.Payal is also defending her baby sis.
Khushi can't bear buaji's tumult any more, she stands up and gives them her decision,"alright, i'm ready."
She recollects Arnav's words for the last time, "it doesn't mean anything."
Shyam is exulting his victory.he is giving a devilish smirk.
buaji wants to make sure again, 'so you are ready to marry shyam!"
Khushi beckons.
khushi took the decision by thinking of arnav. If Arnav wouldn't say those harsh words to her, she never would decide to marry Shyam.
But can she live without arnav?

Sohara, its beautiful!!! lovely take on this episode. all in purple stuck out. You're so right that Shyaam called the ppl closer to put the pressure on buaji, he really is despicable. how can you do that to the woman you claim to love...then hurt her more by huring someone she loves dearly.

sabrina, sohara, samin, ami,

thanks for your comments on 112/113. i will be back later in the day and answer individually. abs loved your comments and thoughts.

samin, you have a beautiful one with andhi songs... that suchitra-sanjeev film had an intensity that was something else, didn't it. two people in their middle years with all the flame of youth... unresolved differences, unquestioning desire and love. looking forward to reading that.

ami, your 112/113 ia in... can't wait to get to it.

this evening am running away from everything and straight into thread.

tried to finish 112/113 before leaving, then the computer ate up the stuff. maybe it's a sign, possibly that rushed writing was nota good idea, hopefully, tomorrow.

the acting by the two in 112/113, just went deep into me and happily sat there. what is with these two. why are they so good? and why am i not seeing them on my screen any more.

@Samin
thanks for reading my 113 and your comments are really precious for me.
It's true Bua and Shyam's scene are really unbearable to watch.'You mentioned you cried. i was also in the same boat. I still cry every time I watch these episodes.

Arnav sure was equally hurt. you are right he came for her thrice. He couldn't get the peace after hurting her and denying his love.Gosh he is such a pessimist! Thank God that he finally overcame his pessimistic thought.

I jolted too and of course with masochism- because at that moment Sarun's acting, the direction, cinematography, background score and picturization was out of the earth. It takes several jolting and watching that several times to catch the snapshot chemistry of that second

just loved what you said. Sarun is beyond excellence and of course the whole team of IPK who worked behind the camera.
