I agree with you to a point, we love them so much i know some ppl stopped watching but i could never do that.In facti wasn't even one of thos people thatcomplainedduring the uproar of the Sheetal track b/cat leastthe show was still on...but even Arnav character did a complet 360...and Barun's lack of interest was obvious too in the sheetal track. But with Arnav the writers had a sense in where they were taking him

(as in he was tamer happier etc) , but with Khushi feels like they just didn't know what to do with her. there were some inconsistencies also, earlier Khushi cherishes her life, her dialogue to Payal on her first day of work at AR was "Marenge kyu? karenge aur aur karenge"...during the resignation scene, she became a lioness yelled at him b/c she though he put her life in danger on purpose, so how can be ready to commit suicide b/c she thought Arnav was trying to kill her to be with La?? ...that too in a very comic way (suicide is was too serious they made a joke out of it) i can undertand her stepping aside and sacrifice her love for La but why
kill herself?. I think her suicide track was just as bad or worse than the sheetal track. then diwali 2012 she liked fireworks all of the sudden...2011 she advised La against them not once but twice...the whole writing in general suffered, Khushi's character was always a tad

inconsistent, which i think made it hard for the later writers...I wish the maker loved the show like we did, there was so much potential.😭

sorry for the long post got carried away :)

Nice post. After contract marriage I stopped having great hope from the show as a good story or tracks.
My expectation came down to the level of good episodes or scenes. All Arshi intense fights in the hate phase were my favorite. By Sheetal track it was reduced to Arshi moments such as the jalebi talk and Bankilal scene where Sanaya's performance was sheer perfection.

Although a very sensitive issue, I did not mind the suicide track. It had a purpose. The CVs chose this
path to reveal the truth of the contract marriage just like the bizarre way Shyam's truth was exposed
post remarriage. Sanaya beautifully
portrayed her inner broken self and outer normalcy while faking her wedding details to Preeto. Next in Kamlesh Khabri plot, K was shown to be highly mentally disturbed to the extent of delusional psychosis which led her to suicide plan. Agree, a normal K would never commit suicide. I disregarded the logicality, and loved the terrace and middle of the road confrontation. They stood out as powerful execution. Kamlesh Khabri was again brought back to express K's inner turmoil during Sheetal track. Just like A, she is a loner inside but of lesser magnitude. She keeps things to herself and finds strange ways to overcome them.[BR
]BTW I peek into the Blast thread once in a while. Recently I had read your epi 89 analysis and loved it.

Hi Viv, thanks for your input, like the way you described you feelings about it. in purple underlined, totally agree with you there...that is really all it became. i think watching all of it for the first time it was easier for me to bring down my expectations gradually like you...but gotta say watching it carefully the second time and appreciating the tight writing and the execution, i'm not sure how much i'll be able to appreciate post remarriage. I never had an issue with force marriage and even after b/c their love especially his love for her shone through and took their relationship to newer levels. whether it was him calling her "Mery Patni" with full rights to her wearing the manglasutra and pulling it out with pride announce her new name "Khushi Kumaari Gupta Singh Raizada"...on some level his trust for her never perished and her understanding of his pain remained, in turn their love for each only increased, even in all the hatred.
ok back to Khushi :)

hmmm its been a while since i saw the suicide track, so i don't remember her state of mind, i remember the mood being light when she say Kamlesh khabri on tv, thanks for pointing it out, will look for delusion when we get there. it would help justify some of it. great connection to Kamelsh Khabri during the sheetal track. I also LOVED the terrace scene, just didn't like how the CVs chose to get them there and for some reason can't help but think the moment could've been grander and better...i know Barun was leaving for his movie shortly after, i wonder if the CV's had to change some things around to accomidate his leaving. The middle of road scene was also phenomenal

also thank you for reading my 89 and stopping by , very appreciated :)

I agree the suicide was a very poor plot. Still I did not mind it as we were rewarded with intense terrace and road confrontation after Kamlesh Khabri drag. As you said K's mood was in fact light. There was no build up. The simple TV news can't be an aggravating factor in reality. CVs chose this path out of rush or lack of interest. They did throw few hints about K's mental state. She became suspicious of A, got scared of the knife he used to cut the Apple, did not eat that day and acted weird in bed. It was all too brief and sudden. They showed us ASR with a perfect devilish grin and garden scissors. This was too much to digest for many. Anyway Sanaya did her best with the poor script.

Sorry to interrupt, but I thought that the suicide track was completely horrendous. Not for the plot of the story, but because the CVs attempted to integrate humor into the track. Having lost a classmate to suicide, I did not appreciate the satire. You do NOT make suicide and death a humorous subject. I was really infuriated by that.

awesome post
all I can say this Khushi was in her character most of the time
at least I loved her behavior except her being peon and craziness in front of Sheetal
and how Cvs made Arnav not to react when Aarav the audacity of that kid to be rude in front of Khushi
but I did find ASR's character OTT and butchered when he became all cool to Sheetal and Arav
when he didn't give a damn to any girls like he did to Sheetal and the past we know about him and how he was since 1st episode and the info about Arnav's personal life that he was all angry and aloof from the time his mom died...
so in my opinion, I did find Khushi OTT most in Sheetal's track...but Arnav's character was butchered...but SARUN acted well...
