Blast from the Past Thread #9, pg 105, ep 108 - Page 72

Episode 101!!!

The Episode starts with Shyam talking to Shashi, the poor man is lying on the bed paralyzed and here is shyam boasting about his and Khushi's engagement and that he will not leave Rani Sahiba as he has two hands and he can hold hands with both of them…Rani Sahiba and Khushi (how cheap…I knew he saw Anjali as his ATM machine…I mean who would leave a money machine…that is his point of view). Bua comes in and calls Shyam telling him that she wants to discuss something with him (Shyam seems tense…maybe bua ji heard…but it's a drama so no)…Shyam said that he will meet her outside…and before he left took shashi's "arshirwaad" (I wanted to throw a boulder at him then)

At the hospital…khushi is telling the nurse that she deposited the money in the bank so in a few days she will pay the bill…the nurse was like you are not understanding someone paid the bill…khushi was like who…and she pointed towards a guy walking away in a suit (I wonder who that sexy back is)… and she calls out his name as she sees him walking towards him….arnav turns around…queue the wind and RABBA VEY…And tells him that she can manage herself and that what she did the other day was out of majboori (the English word is escaping me)…arnav was like the accountant should not have cut the tax…and khushi said that she could have managed and then realizes that she is being rude to the person who is helping her out and then walks away crying…as Arnav watches her helplessly…

Shyam agrees to something that bua said and says that if they think that if this can bring Shashi back then he will do it…and he turns around to shashi smiling…and poor shashi is watching helplessly (I really like the camera work here)

Akash calls the GH inquiring about shashi because he heard that he is home and then inquires about the family…payal said that they are fine and that she is going to hang up. Akash stops her from hanging up and said sorry about his mom and saying sorry is not enough, Payal said that there is a lot of social difference between their status and it is not right for them to talk to each other…(poor mami ji's word is still fresh in her mind…and bechara akash cannot get his love).

Khushi is crying on a bench and Arnav comes and sits besides her …and she cries and tells him that she is not knowing what she is doing and that she does not want to lose Shashi as she has already lost her parents…and Arnav puts his hand on her head (I know it was a comforting gesture but it totally looked like he is giving her his arshirwaad…and the distance between thenm was a whole chair…also he sucks at his emotion so he is like telling someone there there awkwardly…but hey he is changing for the better!!! Oh if I was khushi, I would scoot down a chair and cry on his shoulder…he has a mighty nice shoulder to cry on) And she looks up and he gets conscious and looks at him..They have a long eye contact and then they both get up and leave in different directions while Tu hi bata mere maula plays in the back ground…On the other side Aakash and Payal are also missing each other and are sad (I never noticed how deep and meaning full the lyrics are…and Kailash Kher did an amazing job singing it).

Bua calls Khushi and tells her about their plan to get her and Shyam married….saying that her mom, dad, and her want it…Bua is actually pressurizing Khushi for the marriage….Garima notices the tension on khushi's face and asked her for her opinion (I liked garima for asking her opinion…you can tell she really wants her kid's happiness)…And bua ji is like why do we need her opinion…her the elders want it she should agree (more or less what she said) and Shyam Walks in and looks at them and walks off (very awkward moment)…Bua suddenly runs after the daal being burnt in the kitchen and tells Garima to go and keep an eye on Shashi, leaving Khshi alone and so Khushi goes to meet Shyam who is giving orders for making an engagement to a jeweler. Shyam gets happy that khushi wants to talk to him and thinks she is here to say yes (boy is he wrong).She tells him that she has never thought of him that way and Shyam gets very angry as Khushi tells him this..but controls it …and says that he too was not ready for this but Bua pressurized him into this (LIES)… and he will now talk to everybody ..even though Shashi wanted it (LIES)…khushi gets concerned but still manages to nod and walk away leaving him fuming!! He again calls the jeweler and tells him that he needs to make the ring as there will be an engagement and a marriage even if it is because of Shashi's health (Boy cannot take no ask an answer)

haha poor buaji, I know you're frustrated with her right now but

keep in mind she's also a victim of Shyaam here. her only fault is too gullible. the CVs needed someone like that to move the story alon.

I completely understand CVs motives. Someone has to be stupid to move the story. But this just so annoying, an elderly person is relying on somebody without even checking his back ground. Or moreover when she saw khushi's reluctance she should't pressure her for marriage. she is only a teenager.

Agree with you both. Although, I did like the Mehandi dress, but it was not something Khushi would wear. It was more Sanaya and less Khushi in that outfit. But, more than that, what was really irritating was her wearing the same for so many episodes. If it was supposed to be worn at a fully crowded function, at a hospital, everywhere, then, the makers should have atleast given her something less revealing.

Ok, let's for some time assume that Khushi wears such dresses, and she had to go to the hospital and be there without being able to change. Even then, the least thing anybody would do was cover herself with a dupatta, just like she did at the dhaba. Even dancers cover themselves with shawl or dupatta while they wait for their performance. But, this was too much.

First they make her wear such a dress, which Khushi wouldn't agree to, then they make her go around places without even letting her to cover herself. This only shows that the whole thing was for trp. How pathetic!

Episode 101 and 102:
The start of giving up of reservations.
Arnav : Once Khushi had given up her reservations about showing her feelings he just had to do something. So Arnav bitwa could not hug her back. He could not give up his reservation in the middle of a hospital. Then he goes home and thinks of why he can not give up his reservation. We know when he wants to do something he has to practice condolences and this time he practiced it not with Mr Mirror but with La. He also got his strength from Di. So when Khushi came to ask for money he was still trying to shed some reservations. In the midst of his mental practice he lost a second chance to offer her condolences. We know ASR keeps on trying after each failure. So he went and gave her father's bill. Then came the second phase putting his hand on her head as if saying I am there for you. Then the third was asking her how her dad was. The fourth was when he told he broke the vase and not Khushi and did not even shout at anyone. The fifth was when he secretly put two coins to make her happy. There was counting all the nice things he did for her and in this two episodes he did more then he had done till now. No wonder Khushi fell even deeper in love with him.

Khushi : When she went and asked Arnav for money and to put them in her box I almost cried. It was extremely touching. This was the same Khushi who did not ask her salary from the office, the payment for sarees delivered, for the sweets made, for the plants she bought to bring him and La together. This was the same Khushi who was extremely sad whenever Arnav made references about the differences in their financial condition. She cried when he told Anjali that she did not need to ask sorry from her because she was their employee. She was the one who said they value money and do not show any pride on their value. She was always dreaming of returning and throwing money at him. So I think her devastation was evident, at the same time she did not shed her reservations in front of Buaji, Shyam or even her Mom. She did it in front of Arnav- whom she felt instinctively she could rely upon. She gave up her reservations about marriage to her Di about how she felt about marriage - because she knew she could tell her what her dreams of falling in love were going to be. No wonder Arnav and Payal both knew then how much she was devastated to give up her reservation about money and love respectively.

Buaji : I really wish she had kept her reservations in this difficult times. So I can understand the reason she gave them up was because of her brother's health who was the only living male in the family.

So evidently enjoyed when Arnav was starting in an ASR way to win over Khushi after giving up his reservation. When Khushi gave up her reservations and came to Arnav, allowed him to give her condolences, told Payal her dreams I fell in love with her once again. However when Buaji was giving up her reservation remembered Mami's dialogue about chamko detergent. Evidently people go to a doctor they trust to make them better.

More than being happy about getting the book, I was actually feeling bad that here was I who wasn't even eager to get the book and there were you all, desperate to get it but were unable to. Felt like if I knew magic I would make multiple copies of it and make them appear in front of you all.
