Fantastic...just brilliant. I know many of us wished to see NK and Lavanya together. The story is simply brilliant Lavanya deserved to meet her soul mate ...

One of the most well written scenes in IPK...i loved the way lavanya left with so much dignity...

That is lovely! I don't know how I missed this OS from you for so long, but glad I finally found it. 😊
Lavanya was indeed a great character who never really got any closure in the show. She was as good at heart as her Chamkili. She had let ASR go as she knew that he loved Khushi. But at the same time, it wasn't easy for her to let go of her love for the man himself. Glad she found Nishad! But it'll probably take her years and years to finally get over ASR. You have written that so beautifully!

wow! that was beautiful! i like the fact that you explored the woman called lavanya who was not just a means to an end, not just a diversion, not just a supporting cast. am not a writer but i wish some more ffs had explored her character a lil more.

This piece on La was awesome...her search for her identity, happiness n most importantly for love! Every girl would have such a story right? Sigh! I too hope like La that someday everything would be perfect and set alright! funnily Nishad Nair sounded to be a malayali like me :-)which made me more happy...there finally i finished reading through all your works! :-) Thanks dear for making my day!

Dearest S,

I thought to come here and spend my 2250th with Lavanya and her wonderful story.
This is one my favouritest closures to the character that was Lavanya..in IPK.
and I have little GIF set I found on tumblr (credit to the maker!)
that goes PERFECT with this story.
Almost like it was made by someone who has read it.
So here goes...

Lau,
Chanda

I just loved this piece.
When I was watching the show, although I felt a tiny bit sad about what happened to Lavanya, I did not quite dwell on it. The desire to see Arnav and Khushi together, outdid any other emotion and I went along with the flow.

But after reading this piece, I did feel a lot more for Lavanya. Her pain, her heartache, her sense of dejection at being rejected, in spite of all the effort that she put into her relationship with Arnav, broke my heart.

First of all, it was outright wrong of Dadiji to expect Lavanya to transform herself into someone that she really had nothing in common with. But in all fairness, it was rather crude and hasty on Arnav-Lavanya's part to want to live in the midst of a joint family in India as a real couple. What were they thinking? I completely condone the concept of living together, but the setting is important.

Secondly, Khushi was always portrayed as a woman with a lot of moral fiber, then how could she allow herself to fall in love with a to-be-engaged man whose woman she claims to be friends with? Yes humans are prone to making mistakes and one cannot control whom he/she falls in love with, but she did'nt quite seem to be in a dilemma. That confused me.

Thirdly, as much as I love Arnav and Khushi, it is rather odd that a fashion mogul who is from Harvard, falls in love with a woman who can barely pronounce 'congratulations' or 'phone'. I wish the writers had made Khushi less rural.

But I loved how you described Lavanya's journey of self-discovery! :)
