Good post😊.

My IPK story started when my mom was majorly fangurling over the actor and character of ASR coaxed me into watching one episode. The first rabba ve (photoshoot episode) was the first one i watched and those 20 minutes of magic turned me into an IPK addict that today 4 months after the show ended no story, character or actor can connect with me like IPK and Sarun did.
I literally sat up all night n did a marathon watch of all the previous episodes and was hooked for good.
The magic of the creative team, the actors, directors and music worked wonders and gave me the best 18 months of TV entertainment i have ever witnessed.
While IPK lost much of its charm in story telling way before it ended Barun and Sanaya and their awesome chemistry kept me glued to it till the last day.
I started watching the show and became an ARHI fan but by the time it ended i was a Sarun fan.
I love Barun for the brilliance he brought to the character of ASR; for his humility in always crediting the writers and team for the characters success, for his passion and conviction to move away from such an epic character to try new, challenging opportunities and for the dignified silence he maintained through the ending fiasco.
I love Sanaya for the wonderful actress she is and for her positive and full of life approach to things. I appreciate her dedication to the show when all other parties involved had clearly lost interest.

So IPK gave me a fairytale in ARHI but introduced me to wonderful actors and human beings like Barun and Sanaya and i look forward to their future projects.
Plus the show introduced me to this forum and i made some wonderful online buddies who shared my passion for the show and its actors.

But honestly, what IPK gave me was...

Some online friends! Never would I have thought of making friends online.
Watched a desi show! All of it! Every minute of it... Well... At least the Arnav-Khushi parts. 😃
Came to know so much about desi tv and BW industry through IPK and this forum! I was clueless earlier! 😕
Like you, I stumbled upon IPK because I wanted to know more about he actors.

Me too.

I knew zero things about Indian television but now I watch so many it's actually a bit pathetic.

A round of applause for 4lions?

No?

Okay at least a cordial smile? Sheesh.

RC, I am here for you. Every time I vow never to come here.. and then you people go and make posts and then I feel like an idiot for not coming here! So I am here, 'coz I love you 🤗

My IPK story? I had just finished defending my MS thesis.. about 5 months of continuous stress.. all done... I wanted to relax and opened Youtube after I got home.. 'coz I wanted to watch something, different. Thought I might watch a hindi soap because it had been a while. Opened YRKKH .. because that was the only one I knew was still going on .. and then it was so annoying, I saw this one recommended video. Thought I will try it out. Before I knew it, it was 8am the next day and the rest is history.

I loved the show, not because of the story.. but this was the first show where attention was given to details.. the lighting, camera angle, itsy bitsy facts like Khushi's love for Salman, or Arnav's SUV. The acting I thought was natural and also the story was good in the sense everyone had a role in the main story.. and equally important role!

I loved Khushi, because I could relate to her. I loved Arnav 'coz of his love for Khushi. I forgave ASR for hurting Khushi 'coz I knew one day he will regret it big time. His inner struggle was portrayed so well. I used to talk about IPK non-stop to everyone.. it was like Hrithik Roshan mania in 2000 all over again 😆
The funny scenes.. I used to watch them every time I was upset..!
And scenes during Payash's wedding were just so cute.. I don't think I had ever seen such a cute Hindi show ever before! (Till then I had thought Kutumb was the cutest, but IPK surpassed that)!
When the MU happened, I was heartbroken.. and really angry at ASR.. but I thought I will wait for the repentance, which was going to happen soon. I think I lost interest in the show the moment I realized the repentance was never happening and the moment I realized Khushi was being made into a fool.

This show made me realize never to fall in love with a Hindi show ever..!
The only good thing that came out of this show was the fact that I met a whole lot of friends who are a major part of my life!

I would have continued to watch the episodes even after the show ended, but now when I think of this show, all I can think of is the hatred towards me and my friends .. so no, I will never watch or think about the show again! I haven't deleted the episodes I have.. maybe some day I will be able to move past the hate and be able to enjoy the scenes again!
